For a challenge/story I needed to set my sim on fire and I found a few cheats which I used to do the job. Trouble is, now she KEEPS catching fire spontaneously and I don't know how to stop this.
These are the cheats that I used to set her on fire (can't remember if I used only one or all of them as it was several months ago that I last played):
stats.set_stat commodity_Buff_BurningLove_StartFire 7 - this has a 15% chance of spawning a fire and igniting your active sim each time you enter it
sims.add_buff BurningLove — Increases your chances of causing a fire for 4 hours.
I found the above cheats in this discussion on the forums in a comment by

In that discussion also said that "The combustion command lingers with your sim, meaning after the timeout runs out or is removed, your sim could spontaniously combust at any point in time" and I am certainly finding this to be the case! But supposedly, entering the cheat "sims.remove_buff BurningLove" should "remove the combustion chance" and prevent your sim from catching fire again. However, this cheat hasn't worked for me! My sim is still catching fire repeatedly!
If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it.

Did you try sims.remove_buff Buff_Fire_RecentFire to reset chance for fire?
or stats.set_stat commodity_Buff_BurningLove_StartFire <a small number> to possibly reduce the chance.
