Where oh where is the messages in the bottles?

My sim has been walking up and down both beaches in the new world for one sim week now, if not longer. There is no trace of a message in a bottle anywhere, I would really like to complete the collection and add it to my full collection room, but where are they? I know I can probably find them in debug, but so far each collection item I have was found or earned in game, I don't want to start cheating now

You are not the only one who can't find them. I think they are bugged.

My sim is living in the world, She lives on the top of the hill near the waterfall. I will load a new save, its one of my old ones where a sim just moved, perhaps that could be the issue, thanks so much for replying
Eta. My sim is living in the town neighborhood on the island and I don't have any mods in my game.

New save game .Moved my sim onto the beach this time in her tiny little house
This way I can send sims for dinner/lunch there and hunt for bottles before sending them home.
If they spawn at a reasonable hour, or the other sims that visit/live nearby aren't interested in collecting them, that is.
What a clever idea. I had success, two little sandheaps spawned on the beach she is living, two different bottles too. It was there when she woke up at 7am.
Two spawned and she will look for more on the other beach, looks like a new save game is required

There was three heaps that spawned every morning round about 2am to 3am. If you walk over to the other little beach there is three there too, I will load my game and take a pic to show you where they spawn, its always on the exact three spots. Its pretty hard to see, its the exact same colour of the sand, like @DragonAge_300905 said keep your camera real low then you see them a little easier, will hop into my game to take those screenies for you
@mcrudd Ohhhh, I think I have seen those actually. Thought they were scenery. I will check if I can dig them up. Thank you!!
I think its because we are so used to the digging sites being much darker in colour, these match perfectly LOL. Good luck in finding your bottles
