Why doesn't EA create official Sims merch and release its game music to the public?

Hey all! I've got an idea of how EA can make even more money from The Sims AND satisfy fans: why not release merch to the public? I've also created a petition to release the Simlish song Never Be Lonely to the public, even if it's only in Simlish: https://www.change.org/Sims_Song_Release
I just feel that more can be done for The Sims than just releasing packs. So many of us want, and are willing to pay, for more than just game content and something like releasing an album is going to take less time, money and effort than creating another boring kit.

Album material would probably work with Sims original songs, but even Simlish versions of popular music would have to be renegotiated with the original artists, since use of their material is probably limited to the game itself.

Occasionally they do. They published guides in the past; the Sims 4 soundtrack is included in the digital deluxe I believe; they've done collabs with Moschino and more for clothes; I have a plum Bob usb somewhere.
