Get to Work - Prison Content

I've been making a prison but I'm wondering if it's practical to use the prison bar panels in lieu of room panels for the cells. Is it possible to make proper rooms for the purpose? I've essentially got 3 double occupancy cells, each with a small bathroom and my idea was to have the front wall of each cell open to the corridor but I'm dubious as to whether it will work. If anyone has used the panel successfully, I'd love to hear about it.
