Scared because it is useless? No whims, nothing to get from it unless (I guess) you have Paranormal and..... really...... anyone that is scared is also tense so..... whyyyyy
There are lots of things that makes sims Scared from other packs. Here are some of them:
Child sims seeing the Monster Under the Bed
Sims having Nightmares or Vampires having Daymares
Lightning/Storms from Seasons
Earthquakes from City Living
The howls/mews of ghost Cats & Dogs
Touching "weird" stuff while beachcoming in Island Living
Didn't they do the fine thing, to stop them from walking around extremely happy and grinning like idiots all the time? Sims 4 sims and their overpowered mood swing powered by everything in the world besides any innate reasons to do with their own personality traits, is the big problem. It hardly matters what mood it is, it's driven by shallow triggers and all of it can turn on a dime and give you a nickel.

God, that right there is probably the most annoying thing in the game to me. I had so many Sims suffer from 'death by toddler interaction' because of it, until I used a mod to disable hysterical deaths.
I made a quick list of my small mods to fix some of the issues I - and apparently also others - were having with moods.

Happy - happens far too often for my simmies. Yesterday my sims mom passed in front of him and he had one sad moodlet drowned by a half a dozen happys. Even though I dont like seeing them sad or angry, they are valid emotions that should pop up more often.
