Hi all! I never post here, so I hope this is the right board, but I thought I'd see if you all could help me out with some things I still need.
I've spent the last two weeks of my life scouring the internet for lists of things to include in a massive checklist spreadsheet for people like me who are not satisfied with a "simple" completionist challenge and want to literally do ALL THE THINGS that are possible to do. I currently have 19+ tabs dedicated to various aspects of the game from every current expansion pack: Aspirations, Careers, Skills, Collections, Craftables, Businesses, Clubs, University Orgs, Social Events, Scout Badges, Holiday Traditions, Gaming Tournaments, Various Occult Perks, Object Upgrades, Traits, Achievements, Bookshelf Books, Other General Hoarding (mostly non-collection "collectibles"), and more... and I'm pretty sure I'm still missing things (Moods, Buffs/Debuffs, Degrees, and Fame Perks come to mind).
I do intend to share this massive project with the world once it's as ready as I can get it, and to try and keep it updated as more packs are released with applicable content additions, but I think I need some help with a few things, and also some input:
- Should I include Hidden Skills in here somewhere? (And does anyone know of a mod to add them to the Skills Panel?)
- Should I include temporary traits, such as the Skeleton life state, Celestial Crown buffs, and Childhood Phases?
- Would you like to see costs included where appropriate (such as for food, collectibles, etc)? Many guides include this but I haven't been, so far.
- What are the requirements to write a Travel Guide (Jungle Adventures) or an Interior Design Book (Dream Home Decorator)? You would think this would be easier information to find. Lol.
- For Sim-written books of all kinds, does anyone know if there are multiple covers for the same genre (and therefore, technically, "variations" for each)?
- Speaking of variations, this is where I need the most help. I've identifed, at minimum, 1,204 items that can be crafted by a sim in some way or another (even if it's just a Quick Meal). I am 100% certain that is not yet an exhaustive list. For instance, I do not have an exact count of paintings, since every list I could find was incomplete and likely very outdated. Many of the foods/drinks I'm fairly certain do not have variations, but do some have different results based on the ingredients used? My current craftable list is here if you would be so kind as to take a look and let me know of anything you see missing.
- Is there anything else YOU would want to see in a way too huge checklist that I may or may not have already thought of, especially that you struggle to find elsewhere? Note: this is not intended to be a guide or a gameplay explanation. Just a down and dirty pile of checklists for just about everything you may want to accomplish.
Sorry for the wall of text. I'm super excited about this self-appointed project! I can't wait to finish it and maybe save some time for the rest of you who may eventually be looking for something like this.
Edit: I now have
33 lists/tabs - that's waaaay too many! The link in this edit gives a breakdown of the tabs and what they include (and some disclaimers about my intentions with this beast and formula compatibility with other programs). If anyone has suggestions on how to combine them lists/tabs, or sees anything else I should have a list for, please let me know!

I'ld love to see hidden skills and temporary traits in the list. Also gameplay objects, maybe...? Sorry i can't help with your doubts...
When you say gameplay objects, I assume you mean things like washing machines and fabricators and such that come in certain packs? That's a good idea - make sure you have on lot or have used all types of added gameplay. Good suggestion!

A few years ago i looked so much for something like that! My idea was to either try to do everything that was posible with one sim (or in a legacy) or to randomize stuff to do. There's so much in the game but there aren't whims about everything, so i felt that i wasn't doing everything i could with the game cause i kept forgetting what i had available...

I guess you would want to make every possible fruit/herb/flower flavour that doesn't turn into suspicious fizz too.
@EmmaVane Ooh, thank you! I have yet to try juice fizzing and couldn't find a great list of recipes (all I can really find is list of basic "types" of drinks and the emotions they cause). I will get those added to my working copy.
I do have Beetle Juice on the Bar - is that accurate, and can it be made on both, then?

It might be a bar drink, I just remember it came with the pack. Worth testing if they can be fizzed though.

When you decorate baked goods (from oven or cupcake machine) they are decorated in one of a few variants randomly.
Trying to get every variant of every decorated dish could be challenging.
I'm not sure if these are all listed somewhere though.
On that note, there's also painting every picture in the game.

I did (sort of) account for decorating in my craft list - the things I know can be decorated have a "?" in the variant column, but I couldn't find a list of outcomes to do more than that at the moment, and it made me wonder if other foods have variants as well based on random chance or even ingredients used (like fruit pie - is there, say, apple pie or lemon pie depending on ingredient used?).
Same with the paintings - I found a probably outdated list, so I have something like "17? combined" in all the Large Abstract paintings, but I couldn't yet break it down further than that.
I wish I knew how to dig through code to find the possible outcomes. Would be a lot easier than just setting a sim to it and hoping I eventually see them all. Haha.

@Vyzuri I see just the tab description document. I couldn't figure out how to get to see what's actually in the tabs themselves... but then, I've never used dropbox, so that may be why. Is there a link to the full thing? I would love to see it! (Sounds very much like my Master Simmer challenge I set up, and need to finish updating.. but only more complete than I went.... what a great idea, and a huge undertaking! Congrats!)
I now stream the Sims 4 on Twitch!

Once I've reduced the amount of tabs in some manner, I'll probably share a "beta" version, so to speak, that contains all the list tabs (but not the formula tabs) as they are currently. They will all appear similar to the Crafts Only tab (also linked in the first post), which is the only list I have released so far, in that variations may not be fully listed during that time. I'm hoping to find all the variations and include them before the final version with the "Sims" and "Progress Summary" tabs are made available, since otherwise the counts are not technically accurate if there are still unknown variants.

There's still quite a lot I haven't really done in Sims 4. I've never really explored the Herbalism skill properly. For a long time I ignored the Gardening skill, but recently I've really gotten into it, to the point where pretty much all my families have big gardens now. So I should find the list of plants used in Herbalism and go and find them!
I've also not really explored Selvadorada much. I did have one family find the Omiscan Temple, but didn't find any artefacts or anything I don't think. I should send someone on a long vacation!
Also remember that costs for stuff like food and produce may well vary depending on quality.
