I was just reading that the new battlefield game has bugs and lack of content. I read that players are ready to quit and go to the competition. I hope when Sims 5 comes out they don’t have the same problems.
I hope so too, Battlefield 5 tried to go a different direction by introducing specialists instead of classes (I have no idea why, they already have that in Apex Legends, why introduce that to battlefield?) and that did not go down well with the community. I hope that The Sims 5 will not try anything that will divide the sims community as well.
It also felt that Battlefield 5 needed another year in development, I hope that Maxis will get enough time for the sims5. Hopefully they began working on it early like in 2018 or something.
Alright but take a moment to imagine what Sims 5 could be like... I'm so hyped. I want the freedom of exploring the town like the sims 3 (without travel being just a loading screen) and the gameplay attributes (emotions, lifestyles) like in the sims 4. What do you guys think it'll be like?
I sure hope it has much better babies, with changing tables, and baby outfits and stuff. and kids can play together without toys, and bikes are made for children, trikes for toddlers, rather than making everything for adults and YA. I hope there are transportation options other than walking to the end of a street and disappearing. And I want a color wheel for clothing, hair, eyes, and furniture.
I hope they wait with sim 5 until it is fully ready to be released instead of rushing. Get it right first, then launch. I'm good with sims 4 for now.
As for what I want, most of all I want customization, differentiation and variation.
Customization so that I can set the game to MY liking (difficulty levels, being able to set days in a lifespan, season or term, more than on and off for autonomy, be able to turn CAS items off and on so I don't have to see those bunny slippers one more time...)
Differentiation and variation in more personality for the sims, careers and studies, so that it actually feels different to play different characters. Bring back sliders for personality, make skills matter more and have more of them, limit what a sim does based on personality (a kind sim can't do mean interactions, a mean sim struggle with the friendly interactions), make ages matter more, have traits that are consequences of life choices...
But really, there is no need to speculate until we know anything.
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!
Whenever Sims 5 comes out, I hope toddlers and better babies (or at least babies like in Sims 2/3) are in the base game at launch! 😬 More Generations-level gameplay, or at least a combo of many of the past games’ life stage interactions and content come back.
And, hopefully better occults and a lot more of the building tools and CASt-like customization levels return, too.
All I can say is I'm not even close to ready to give up Sims4. I'm loving it and yes, I do use mods, but that merely enhances the game itself. If we get a couple more years with these little tweaks and changes and some outstanding EPs, GPs and SPs along the way I will continue to be a happy camper.
