French World Coming?

The promo image shown to us before they announced the new kits was very interesting. And in the description beside it where they hint at the upcoming kits that were announced today, there were travel related hints about going places and being borderless. Which I think is interesting, since France is in the EU, and is famous for essentially being borderless. And one of those kits had a definite travel mention, Incheon Arrivals.

Anyway. I was wondering where I saw that promo image before. And its strikingly similar to the iconic stained glass window in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France.

JZJj3Em.jpg?1

There's even a continuation of the floral theme, between the flowers in the stained glass, and the flowers in the promo image.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with that decor object they kept pushing awhile back, the french chef who is a pig.

There's also a short plant with oranges. If you look up how oranges are related to France, you'll go down the rabbit hole of the orangeries of the kings of France, and King Louis XIV's orangeries. There are ducks right next to the oranges, who look like they're about to kiss. I'm willing to bet Duck a L'Orange will be a new recipe.

And as someone below mentioned, there's a bottle of nectar mixed in there as well. In Sims 3, Nectar Making was a feature in the France world within the World Adventures expansion pack.

I've had an inkling about a romance pack for awhile. And Paris is known as basically the ultimate city of romance. I'm wondering what others think.
My speculations on hints for future content:
-Cars Update
-Spiral/Diagonal Stairs Update
-Hotel Pack
-Romance Pack (possibly combined with Hotel Pack)
-Bands Pack
-Royalty Pack
-Fashion Design Pack
-Fairies Pack
-Werewolf Pack
-France-inspired World

It's possible, but there are so many other rose windows around the world, too, and many share similar characteristics as well...
FYI: Just because you can see my signature, don't assume that I can see yours.
Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off. ;)

Maybe I'm just holding out hope for it to include both hotels and casinos, which I associate with Monte Carlo, but I'm hoping for a more French/Italian Riviera or Mediterranean coast inspired world for a romance pack.

A lot of the Princess Cordelia art depicts something like what I'm hoping for.

Which might be true but Notre Dame's the most famous and the most likely lol Its also the first to show up in a search of architectural examples of stained glass circles.

I feel like the Princess Cordelia stuff is a hint for a royalty thing lol Get Famous is loaded with royalty references that mention other royals too. Also University, but thats more Princess Cordelia stuff. We've gotten crown banners and other stuff in Cottage Living too that made me think royal pack too.

I really hope we get a casino pack. With blackjack tables, slot machines, roullette. I think that stuff was on the Sims store in Sims 3. I had to buy Lucky Palms to get casinos lol

I've been expecting a France themed pack for a while now...or speculating about one, at least. I think it'll come sooner rather then later and this really helps my theory. I don't remember why exactly but several months back I thought we were getting a heist themed pack set in a French-ish world. We'll see what happens!

Also, if I remember correctly, in Sims 3 World Adventures nectar making was based in their version of sims France, and in this image there's bottles of something that I'm choosing to assume is nectar. Hmmm....

You know what. I never thought to look at the bottles lol And zooming in on them offsite they do look a lot like nectar bottles.

I actually think this image looks like a car wheel and I was wondering if it could be a hint. This would also fit the travel/"going places" vocabulary. Plus this part right here : "Enjoy free updates that add dimension to your sims' lives [...] and unlock new ways to play".

i would enjoy having nectar and vineyards again, as well as possible hotels, casinos, and romance. Another vacation spot would be welcomed but hopefully can have residents living there as well.

When I look at that picture I see duck, I see short orange tree, I see wine, I see menu book, and I see the sim that's usually dressed as a cook in sims promo pictures, so all I can think of when seeing that mandala like picture is duck a l'orange. Maybe there will be a french world or at least a french restaurant in the future.

Yes and speaking of the promo pictures they are sitting infront of a french cafe in the Incheon Arrivals one, and the blog post for that specifically mentions Paris.

The Notre Dame was badly damaged in a fire only a few years ago and the repairs are far from finished. It would be an odd choice to make a reference to if they want to hint at something French.

That said, the promo image looks more like a mandala to me. Which would make sense with the Indian inspired kit on the way.

I thought mandela for a moment too but it doesnt make sense when the other stuff like the nectar bottles are factored in. Also if you look up mandalas, they dont really look as much like that as the stained glass windows do.
Also i dont see why a fire a few years ago would change much. Its not less iconic because it suffered a fire. Its not the first tragedy to ever strike Notre Dame. It wont be the last either. Besides that much of the iconic glass survived that fire, it was the roof that burned.

While I'd love an French inspired world, I'd really like to see something that hasn't really been done before. Like Africa, Australia, Netherlands...

There are many different kind of mandalas, but the thing they have in common is that they have symbols in geometric, circular formations. The promo image definitely qualifies, but the stained glass window is actually mandala art, as well. So, you're not wrong that it looks like that, I just don't think it was intended to look like that window specifically, but more like a mandala in general.

The nectar bottle might still be a hint, though, but if they were hinting Paris or France, there are plenty of other iconic things they might have picked that haven't been struck by disaster recently; the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, etc.

how do you suggest they would have encorporated any of those landmarks without being painfully obvious? Sounds like you're just presenting your own subjective ethics and values rather than whats most likely

Keep in mind EA marketing team isn't The Sims Studio developer team

They often do things not included in the game

I would so love a France World (12 to 16 lots) with Paris Monuments, Nectars, French Kissing, French Romance,
French Outfits especially sleepwears, French Build Modes, French Careers, French Skills/Traits, French Hobbies & French Foods.
I'm part French so this would so be appreciated.
