@simgirl1010 Thank you! Helios and Kalamainu'u have been a great couple to play with. Gui and Nui are also still showing up in Sulani often! My Aliens do like to take walks on the beach at night!

They did a good job pronouncing the names. Kalamainu'u and Ohan'ali are actually in-game names that come with Island Living. Kalamainu'u Iona is one of the premade merfolk, and Ohan'Ali is one of the Sulani Islands.
Helios has the same name as one of the Greek Gods of the Sun.

It's nice that they're giving the forums more importance and highlighting it.
If they are going to update Spa Day, I really hope they add a new aspiration to it, something simple and centered around the wellness skill. A new trait would also be welcome.
The lore has me interested. I'm guessing it'll be some minor updates like Likes/Dislikes, Sentiments, tuned relationship values, some re-designs, and some trait retooling for characters given incorrect traits, like Dina Caliente. Maybe Johnny Zest will be added to the Landraab family tree. I don't expect big changes or storylines, like we got in past Sims games - even if we do, they'd probably just be shallow retreads, or be boring schlock like most Sims 4 narratives. But I'd die for individual bios again, which was one of the biggest tools for storytelling in the past. And maybe they can fix Nina Caliente's hideous face?
Regarding the "refresh", I'm sure it'll be a small, but free update; we'd some new swatches, maybe some decorations, and maybe even running your own spa? But there's also the unlikely, but very unpleasant fear that the "refresh" is something you have to pay for. DLC for DLC, or a spa-based Kit. I doubt they have any remorse over MFPS, they'd just want to by sneakier about how they do it in the future.
If they're updating Spa Day though, I wonder why that pack was chosen? Maybe it didn't sell well, and they want to encourage people to buy it?
I only hope that they will not add any new households to the base game maps without any new lots. The base game is small and I can not imagine new premade households there.
My expectations:
- personality fix for base game townies (and the townies from the older expansions)
- I think that TS4 Bella Goth and Calientes will get a new skintone. It's ok, but to be honest I like how Bella from TS4 looks like
- maybe Nina's hairstyle will be fixed
- Spa Day will receive some traits, aspirations and a small world
- New swatches in general (BB also) - I want to add that our houses are also a part of our personality and it is unfair to be restricted to ugly, unmatching and questionable swatches.
I need to add that I totally don't know what can I expect from "inclisivity". At the moment I feel that inclusivity = better representation of people with darker skintones, but in my opinion, EA should pay some more attention to another physical aspects of appearance as: body hair, more facial hair for males ect, hairstyles for a different hair types (we still don't have just a long, simple straight hair as below [by imvikai])

Spa Day seems like an odd choice. If they're going to update one GP, why the one that causes the least trouble? Well, I can think of a reason, but I'll bite my tongue for now. If they end up pleasantly surprising us, I don't want to be the one who said something mean beforehand.
Perhaps it's not so much about fixing existing features, but adding new ones. Spa Day doesn't have all that much content compared to some of the other GPs. Traits and an aspiration, perhaps even a career revolving around the wellness aspect could change that. We'll see...

I wish they wouldn't be so cryptic about it, it creates speculation and gets some of us worried.
I saw the tweet by SimsCommunity.. Is that Spa Day confirmed officially or just a random GP render they selected?

This is a quote from one of the assistant producers, "For now our roadmap continues to be focused on improving content that’s in the game. That said, stay tuned – prepare your Sims for a relaxing refresh of one of our existing Game Packs coming up soon." This is being taken as a hint that it is Spa Day. But there is no official confirmation that I have seen. It does strongly suggest Spa Day to me, however.
I think it could be Outdoor Retreat just as well as Spa Day. I'm actually hoping it's OR, I think that was one of the most voted packs when we had the poll. If it's SD then I hope they add an aspiration!

The world needs proper swimmable bodies of water and a way to actually live there. Add a few bird and bunny tree stumps for those who have CoL installed. Make it more meaningful, because it’s a beautiful world, but always felt a bit limited.
If it’s a Spa Day update, most likely sims will be able to fart while getting a hand or foot massage. Very refreshing too.

Okay, if it's Outdoor Retreat then I can get on board with that and it would make sense. I never use it anymore but I do love the forest. There's just not much to do.

If I might add this, I don't think it's guaranteed to be Spa Day, and I think they are using images associated with Spa Day to show that they are updating an existing pack.
On a side note, I really hope they update Sulani with underwater lots I can visit with my sims. I got the Sims 4 primarily because of the merfolk and the hope that I could go underwater similar to sims 3. I also hope that merfolk can get a skill tree similar to Vampires and Spellcasters.
That being said, I have a lot to keep me busy until then! I'm excited for whatever they update!

I would be very happy to see Out Doors getting an update.
In my dream world my sims could live there but we will see what happens. Spellcasters being able to entertain their kiddos with shooting stars.
