I turned of the Wild Fox Challenge in my sim's home lot because I don't want to see my chickens and bunnies get eaten. But I like foxes, so I'm happy I still get to see plenty of them around!
A few more, this is of my sims house in the winter, its so beautiful. The ponds freeze in winter!! Its just an effect and the animals still swim in it, but its still pretty
I finally got into some proper gameplay today and have been loving it! This is the Adams family home (I only had 28K to build it, so it's not too bad, if a little bare inside):
I have put my other pics under the spoiler so I don't clog up the thread.
Shaun milking the cow before school! (I seriously didn't know kids could do that)
Amy working on the crops:
Chase is teaching Isaac to stay out from under Ermintrude's hooves:
Isaac isn't very happy as he tried to hug a hen and got pecked lol. They have two hens, higgledy and piggledy, plus a black rooster called Doodle-Doo.
Evening approaching in Old New Henford:
Chase fails to catch them any fish for their dinner:
The family is so constantly busy on their farm, I am loving it! I want to get a llama next
There is so much to do, they definitely don't have time for a job outside of being farmers.
@elanorbreton It’s a base game debug bridge that I just sized down to fit with the TOOL mod and the stove is fully functional. It’s taking me an age to build because every time I place anything I have to test it to see if it works! I’m making sure that when I eventually get to upload this it’s actually playable most of my builds end up just being ‘sets’ but not this time because I actually want to play in this myself!
@GracieO312 As a lover of using debug objects myself, I have to say that is genius! I'm slightly annoyed that I never thought to do that lol.
Haha Pinterest has really helped with the old inspiration that’s for sure! I’ve used that bridge before in one of my builds and I absolutely love it but I just wish it came in a red brick version as well.
What the Mayor really looks like. This is her sleepwear.
Foxes recongnize the Grim Reaper
Foxes sometimes stretch. I hope this gets fixed but it's not a game killing bug by any standards.
My Simself hugging his cow. They've got to be really good friends and he loves animals as much as I do. He had on his swimsuit cause he had just got home. He had been swimming around Cordelia Falls.
Finished the kitchen today! Some of the shelves are still bare because I want to fill it out with crystals/potions/pictures etc during gameplay. It will look a lot fuller in the end. Did some testing of a the main objects and all seem to work so that's great news!
Filling the pet bowl:
Using the cauldron:
Using the fire place:
Using the tea maker (we are in Henford, after all!):
Fireside tea time (I seriously can't wait to play this lot in winter):
Making sugar cookies:
All finished without a single hiccup!
Now to finish the lounge (and the upstairs)... sorry Varian, you can't move in just yet!
Over the hills and far away, Simletubbies come to play.
Wow, this is so well made!! I love the toddler sun lol
Well thanks! That's actually a sun baby, and if we're getting improved babies in The Sims 4, I'll replace the female toddler face with a female baby face
Anyone else still not able to download Cottage Living. Its 6:45PM Western Standard Time (Perth, Australia). I am aware of the tech issues but can't find any update as to when will be available.
I had to completely shut down origin via task bar and boot it back up. I went through my Library clicked on my game and went to extra content where the expansion pack was and clicked on the download button for CL. There are two things for CL (I assume one was due to the Extra content we got from Gnome on the go and the other is the actual expansion pack to download. Give that a try if you haven't already.)
I live in the U.S.A. and this pathway was what I had to do, too.
Llama loving. Matt gave all 6 llamas Friendly treats and showered them with attention.
Bunnies everywhere.
A visitor found Sassy prowling around the back lot. Ever since I put that privy bush down, Sassy has claimed it as her territory. She fights squirrels, skunks (horrible), and birds in there. Notice the piles of feathers.
Matt and Nora (and Sassy) go into Finchwick every other day to sell goods. For fun and fitness, they socialize at the bar and cycle around town.
Of course, sims wouldn't be sims without the occasional fire!
Matt caught on fire, panicked, and ran into the kitchen.
He did manage to extinguish himself.
Harvestfest spawned more gnomes.

In Windenburg, I built a garden/chicken shed for my teen household. They're living off-the-grid in a Tiny Home. I had to use build tricks so the outdoor buildings wouldn't count against the total tiles.
@GracieO312 the witch cottage is coming along very nicely. I'll be needing one some day for MLP Zecora. Right now I'm working on Princess Luna and Celestia's home.

What happened to his original family?
Beautiful.
Me, earlier today, "Oh, look! He's weeding the garden in his little jumper!"
@Sindocat LOL

lol 😂. In my game, the only premades with houses who I kept are the Scotts (pub owners) and Thomas Watson. So, this is Thomas' family.
This is the James Family: Samuel & Diane along with their son, Finnegan.
Moran family: Brad, Lori, twin girls: Nicolette and Tia. Their dog, Obi.
Summer sisters: Tessa & Emery.
Daniel and his loyal farm dog, Butter. I'll be playing with Daniel. Just have to connect him to his family that lives in Willow Creek.
Daniel's future wife, Emily Steward. I need to create her family and build their home.

Another Fox Picture
Bride and groom are not allowed to kiss!
And for those not interested in a video, here's one of the screenies as posed on my blog today Who can NOT love a flying fox?
Thank you.
And her chicken:
This is such a brilliant pack, been playing all day.
.....
Classic Crumplebottom.
Only she's swinging that purse a little slow and without much force.
It seems timid compared to her emotion.
These two were in a flirty mood, so there was a series of Cumplebottom attacks.
