Probably a week from tomorrow. Tuesday July 20.

I know that there will be two things.

    1. On birthdays, birthday sim's picture will also be on that day (right now there is only that pink birthday cake icon).
    2. You can filter events (so for example it only shows holidays).

Wow, I'm behind in the what's new with the Sims 4. Been focusing on playing my game just trying to get my Main save back to where it was before the first Patch dropped back in March. Wiped out significant things in said save, so I started anew. Just trying to get back to where it all went awry. Just got there. The kids, including my young Global Superstar have graduated Uni. I've got one of the couples married to start the true Rotation style play going, but I made the mistake of starting off with said celebrity. My bad. Instead of just playing that household for seven Sim days, then switching, as I planned on doing. It's now going on ten Sim days. Ah-hem. I am well-aware, maybe too aware, that once CL is released I'll be playing a different game save: I will restart my Ancestral game save since this EP seems to have so much that will add a bit of authenticity to their starting Time frame: 18th century in the Great Colony of Virginia. Planters. I come from a line of planters.

I look forward to this change in the calendar, which I thought was great up front to start with. Bring it on!

Ok here is the updated version of the calendar. From the release notes it didn't mention holidays, so I suppose holidays are still unique to Seasons, right?

I have Zerbu's More icons mod, so here is the calendar with the correct icons

And I noticed it said festivals twice, San Myshuno and just generic festival. My test family is vacationing in Sulani. I did not see any Sulani festivals on the calendar 😥😭 - so it looks like I will still miss the Sulani festivals.

Anyone know if the Devs said Sulani festivals will be on the calendar too?

They have said they will not be on the calendar. I’ll try to find a direct quote.

Thanks @Simpatsyann - seems like a lazy thing to do. No one knows when IL festivals are occurring and have asked for notifications and calendar and are simply ignored.

I found this list of them: https://thesimscircus.home.blog/2020/02/22/sulani-festivals-the-sims-4-island-living/ but I have absolutely no idea if that's accurate or not. I'm thinking back on it now and I've played in Sulani a fair bit but I don't think I've ever caught a festival there.

Wow @Simpatsyann just wow. I didn't know there were that many events. I have only ever had folks bring food by, I caught the BBQ in the town center once or twice, but those other festivals never knew about them. I literally have a family vacationing in Sulani all week for summer holiday and did not once know about any of these festivals. There needs to be a better way of notifying people.

Even when I play a family in Sulani I never knew about these festivals/events.

I despise festival notifications, but I do wonder why they wouldn't put the IL festivals on the calendar if the CL and SE festivals are on it.

They seem to have this as a by-design thing all along for IL. There's no notifications either if you don't have a mod for that. I've never understood it.

The lack of notification or any kind of listing for IL festivals is really dumb. I didn't even know those existed. I've only really played with the Kealoha lot and the Kahananui (sp?) house so maybe that's why?? But still...

The San Myshuno/Komorebi festivals happen on specific days each week--does anyone (who has updated) have an image of the calendar with those showing?

I have a couple of rentals in Sulani for whenever I have couples to send on a honeymoon or something. Had my current family there for a few days before they had kids so my Sim could work on the fishing aspiration.

Did anyone else notice that in the filter items on the calendar they have vacations but you can't actually plan a vacation. I thought it was weird. Maybe when you're on vacation the calendar reflects that? I don't know but I think it's a missed opportunity to be able to plan my vacations in advance.

There's also the Turtle Hatching Event after cleaning up Mua Pel'am, isn't there?

@KyreRoen I haven't played that job yet, so I'll add that event. Is it a one off as a reward or does it occur on a regular basis?

I'm actually not sure, as I myself have yet to play around with cleaning up Sulani and such, my apologies.

It's a recurring event, and that one does give a notification that it's beginning, but I haven't kept up with exactly when and how often it happens.

I just wish the game would give notifications about these festivals especially Family Fun Day which is random

Wow! I'm ashamed to admit this, but I haven't even heard of these festivals and Island Living is one of my favorite EP's. :o:/
I only know about one festival but I don't even remember the name of it. It's the only one my Sims get notified, but not always. Sometimes my Sims have accidentally found it.
I've never gotten any notifications of the rest of them, even if my Sims are living in Sulani. Why on earth are they hidden? Are we not supposed to know about them?
Is there any list of where exactly these festivals are held or do I have to travel on every neighborhood and lot to find them? I need to experience these things, I can't believe I've missed them completely.
