Describe the Moments When Your Real Life Resembles The Sims Game

«1
This morning I had a real life Sims moment. I stepped into the shower and as I usually do, I turned the shower head to one side while I turned the faucet on its highest (hottest) setting. Only today, water started spewing out from just above the pipe where the shower head screws in. It's a hand held type of shower head. With water spewing all over, the flow from the shower head itself was greatly reduced. All I could think of, is this is a Sims moment. I have just become a Sim!

My Sims were busy very recently having to go about their entire two story house to fix the plumbing, be it leaky sink faucets, or showers or the toilet. Even the dishwasher broke and the stove went kablooey. They upset the Holiday Gnomes, you see. Happily, when I turned the heat down on the faucet, the flow from the top ceased. Yay. But still, there was that moment.

Please describe moments where the game inserted itself into your Real Life.

Well, there was that time I came out of the bathroom to find a total stranger in my kitchen. Pretty sure I got red relationship marks from the way I pointed him to the door.
FYI: Just because you can see my signature, don't assume that I can see yours.
Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off. ;)

@VeeDub ,you should always lock your front door, it's a safety issue so that no strangers can just come into your home. You're very blessed that you didn't get hurt.

    Both awesome and scary.

Probably the one that switched on my hall light just beyond my loft office! LOL

Standing in front of my tv while watching it. It’s on the wall above my fire place. When I realized what I was doing I laughed because I thought of our sims. Lol.

Coming home from work to a messy house because my husband let's the kid do whatever which results in her making messes in various places throughout the house. I get a very uncomfortable moodlet thanks to my OCD and have to go on a cleaning frenzy just to be comfortable.

Just like in my sims game when the toddlers and kids are left to their own devices and randomly make messes throughout the lot.

Finding five bucks a dust bunny was hoarding under the couch is close enough for me. It also had a cat treat it was hoarding and I’m glad that’s the only food I found.

    Every single time I:

    a) get simulation lag
    b) randomly drop things from my queue
    c) finish my chai and go to rinse out my mug in the bathroom sink.

Walking into a room, forgetting what I'm doing, standing there confused for a moment, then going to get some water.

I have a tendency to tell people they score (or lost) relationship points in real life social interactions or telling them 'the color of my plumbob' as an indication of my mood (which gets really hilarious eyebrow raises and/or frowny faces when people don't know what a plumbob is :D)

Lol, this is frequent for me.

One simlish thing that I really wish I could replicate is getting into bed, falling straight to sleep and not waking until morning when I am fully refreshed :D

Last summer, when I was at waterpark with my cousin and her kids.. I had to get out of the pool from the place where there were no ladders. I remember thinking "this looks much more easier in sims!". :)
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..

Did that all the time as a kid. I grew up in Sunny Southern California. We had a pool for most of my life. I daresay, trying to get out of a pool like that now, could be problematic. But then again, I'm now 66 years old. :open_mouth:

Well, just yesterday, I tried to cook something, and the pan got stuck on my hand. Does that count?
This game needs more Sailor Moon!

Hold SHIFT while using the FRIEZE tool to apply it to a single wall, and not an entire room!

    ** SailorCeti's Builds **

If you download one of my builds, by all means, leave me a message and tell me what you did and did not like about it.

Stuck on your hand? Yeah, I'd say that counts.

LOL, I’m picturing you mopping up the floor afterwards with a standard sims-looking mop.

As for me, I feel like it takes me way more time than it should to complete simple tasks, especially household chores. Like, I’ll think it’s going to take me 20 minutes to do the dishes, and then an hour later when I’m finishing up, I’m like... yep, I’m a sim. LOL

Visiting friends on Saturday evening, spotting their grill, and grinning when I wondered if my wife, who has the Neat trait, would suddenly decide to go outside and begin cleaning it. (She didn't.)

I live in a desert where the temperature from March through September is basically blazing inferno. So you know when sims overheat and combust...well, that's me after being outside for longer than 10 minutes. I pass out very quickly and have suffered heat exhaustion several times. If my body had its way, it would definitely combust.

Does the fact that when I see total strangers, I start cataloguing how I could turn them into a sim?
