If we're not going to make Friday Highlights anymore as it seems, can we remove the ticker onscreen?

The Friday Highlights haven't been updated in 2 weeks, can we please either remove or add the option to remove the ticker on top of the screen? It is very annoying. In fact, lets add an X to all of them!

One of the site managers explained in this thread about not being able to add the ability to remove these banners.

@lisasc360 ah. Well still, It's irritating to see an expired banner on the screen for so long.

With EA Leeloo gone I'm not sure this forum have any active moderator anymore. I think we still have moderators but I don't think they are very active.

You can ask EA_Lanna about this since she does pop in just about everyday now as she is also doing name changes again. I also see EA_Mako popping in closing necroed threads and moving threads to their proper sections.

I've asked SimGuruFrost about this and he's looking into it.

I remember at one point we had a thread where all the moderators introduced themselves. It would be nice to have that back.

Every thing I see about announcements at top of page are all from May. May 28th Friday Highlights, Live Stream May 25th, and May 27th Patch day.
