Going on the Hoteliers theme. The pack could contain (like Sims 2) three distant destinations which could encompass three of the wishes here,
Destinations, We offer the following for a successful holiday.
1. A fairy type escape, with all that might go with that, woodcutters' cottages to stay in or large castle hotel with turrets and events, with maybe a dangerous element to it, the werewolf and wicked witches or djinns?
2. A farming escape, where you could help on a farm, help the farmer with his animals, ride a tractor or 4 wheeler, train a horse, bring in the harvest, take things to market and swim or fish in the local pools.
3. A city escape holiday staying in huge hotels, arranging your wedding and banquet there after and enjoying all the sights and sounds of a city life like a theatre or casino or local park.
This would be my favourite pack of all but I expect Maxis would divide it into pieces as usual!
That comment makes me think it's definitely a farming EP.
The GP, snag a cool new career with a creative pack... my mind leads me to a seamstress making clothes, but there would have to be more to it for it to be a whole pack.
And I love the teasers, cos it leads to a lot of fun guessing for a while 😁
I'm a bit annoyed with the constant teasing, being patient has never been a strong suit. However, I love your seamstress idea, @elanorbreton! Some may think it's heresy, but FreeTime was my favorite Sims 2 pack and I loved sewing! A crafts pack would be most welcome.
@Simmingal Staying at a bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Paris, having picnics in the rolling hills, and visiting nectaries all sound like charming ways to bond with nature. Just sayin'.
I find it interesting that many don’t connect farming with nature. Just based on media, there is often this: I will move out of the city onto the countryside and farm to be one with nature.
Not saying that that’s it, but I connect traditional farmers with being close to nature. Just sit on your tractor and drive across the field in the early morning etc. Obviously that’s not how the real world works, but it is the romanticised version of living in the countryside in a farm. I mean, farming in Sims 4 would 100% never be industrial farming. It’s not the style and there would be too much negativity. I mean people complained about a meat wall...
I am one of the people who does not, because I don't equate farm equipment and domesticated animals with nature. To me (who has lived in farm country) nature is, well, nature. The woods/forest, mountains, rivers, unsettled lakes, etc. If it is a farming EP, it's a far different thing than one based around nature.
“Bonding with nature” doesn’t give me a farming vibe at all. Farming is hard work there is little time for bonding.
This gives me a walk in the woods, pick flowers and prance about with fairies kind of vibe.
Either way I don’t care, I’m good with either of those packs, I stopped buying them a long time ago.

Exactly. Most farmers I have known "bond" with nature by doing everything they can to keep the nature out of their pastures. I see it as far more likely to be fairies. That would also make a lot of people very happy.
But who knows -- I guess many people think of rural = nature and the sims advertising team could be among them.
Bond with nature is ofcourse the next step efter the Star Wars pack. James Bond inspired pack where fight villains like Blofeld, Dr No, Jaws and Oddjob in a very pittoresque nature. There is an adventure where he (Bond) arrives to a vey ot of the way motell, where he ends up saving a young motell owner in a interesting landscape. So there it is James Bond in the Sims 4, ho would believe it?!
So in this lineup there is nothing conclusive, right? No Forgotten Hollow expanded, no babies freed from their crib-looking prisons and no wineries? Because I would actually BUY Forgotten Hollow expanded and winery pack (No, not bloody kit. PACK). Hear me, EAxis? I'm willing to pay for that SPECIFIC content. Because this is what it is all about in reality - profitsssssss.
Why everyone is getting hyped up over cat in the bag is beyond me. Yawn...
"Courtyard and Chill with a relaxing new kit."
Obviously, we know what the new kit is. Courtyard Oasis, out today. w00t
"Snag a cool new career with a creative new game pack."
No idea here. Could be anything. Would be cool if it's bands, but I seriously doubt it. First of all, I want it too badly, and also, see below.
"Go big for pride at the virtual block party."
This sounds like the Pride Month event. No idea otherwise though.
"And rock out at the Sims event of the summer"
This sounds like an event, not a DLC, if it's music related I doubt it will be something that a new DLC would be required for. See above. So maybe they're going to give us bands base game, OR it's an event to unlock more musical instruments, OR it's just going to be some kind of in-game music festival our Sims can GO TO, but not actually participate in. Maybe a big camping music festival like Woodstock, Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, Coachella, etc. That might be fun if I don't have to work it. I still have nightmares about my stagehand days working festivals.
"Bond with nature in this charming new expansion pack."
Hmm. Charming and Bonding with Nature...if you want to tie in the scuba diving picture, maybe they're going to give us another island area? Maybe more like the Caribbean/Cayman Islands. Lots of cool wildlife there, both on land and sea. Charming birds, reptiles, and mammals. Would be more "bonding" than a farming thing. Tons of scuba. Sounds nice to me. Don't know IF that's what it's about, or if they'll tie in Pirates, Hotels, or Mermaids. Doubt the pirates thing, since again, I would like that.
Anyway, probably way off, but if I am right about anything, I promise to buy it.
How would you guys feel the gamepack turns out to be fashion?
We already have fashion-oriented careers — Stylist/Trendsetter and Freelance Photographer (well, it's mostly about fashion). So I don't see how a fashion career would be enough to make a whole gamepack, even if it's about sewing... Like, options are limited unless you are creating new clothing meshes, but that's what cc creators do and that's a hard job!
I wouldn't be shocked if the creative new career is the architect career from sims 3.
I'm not sure they'd be quite so, uh, unthinking to take one of three careers from a pack which also included a lot more and charge $20. But you can say the same about bands as well given that was the active career in Late Night. Well, if it is a career, as long as it's really in depth, it probably doesn't matter what the theme is.

I would love that, it was my favorite career (fun way to “fix” the premade lots). As much as I’d like bands, I’m just super hesitant about it. I mean Sims don’t even dance facing each other, I can’t imagine getting them to play together would go well.
What if the ep is a farming ep with fairies in like how mermaids were in island living and aliens in get to work. It could be a world based on Ireland/Celtic theme as Ireland has a lot of countryside and farming with the word charm in it makes me think of fairies/pixies/leprechauns etc which is part of Irish/Celtic folklore. Also in the survey last year I’m sure there was a mention of a Scottish highlands setting? It’s a far reach this predication and I’m probably way out and wrong.
Please, no. I really, truly want faeries in Sims 4. But not as a side feature. Their mythology is far too complex and detailed to get the mermaid/alien treatment. The Scottish Highland setting would work for fae... but they need to be more than just a side feature.
With what some gurus are now tweeting about the career for the gamepack about how we will enjoy it I'm starting to think it's an active one like police, medical, scientist and actor/actress. I'm struggling to think of many careers that the game doesn't have that can be done as active maybe a singer or modelling?

I would be so down for a modeling career. I had a lot of fun from sims 1 superstars

I would've agreed with you until star wars. Now I don't doubt anything.
@MeowchaFrappe I agree fairies would be better with their own pack same for werewolves and I say this as a not often occult player and I am not too fussed about them. I do think more occults are needed for you occult players. However even the most popular occults (vampires and witches) have been done in a fully fleshed out dedicated gamepack but going on the description so far if and a big if fairies are included it won't be the focus of the expansion pack and would be a side feature like aliens and mermaids. Looking back they should have had their own gamepacks too to fully flesh out their gameplay and as you say their gameplay is very lackluster for you occult fans. I just realised I never fully fleshed out my point with this.

I have a feeling this gamepack will be something like bands or a modelling/fashion pack or something we haven't thought of. Superstars was a pack I played little with so I only remember the actor trailer and studios, the fame type packs I don't often play with and buy them when they are reduced on sale.

could also be more like:
Bond feat.Nature world
in this expansion pack full of charming individuals
that want to take you on wholesome dates to bond with you,
passionately dance with you in the moonlight and ride dragons and show you the world
buuut... thats a reach i guess

Well, they are creatures of nature...

As I'm sure you know, the fae are terrifying in mythology. Not what I'd call bonding with nature.
Plant sims could use an update though, but EA seems to hate them
