Over the sims 4 almost decade long reign we've only received a handful of careers for our sims to take on to support themselves, if given the choice what other paths would you want your creations to take in the form of a free patch loaded (Hopefully) to the brim with new, exciting ways to make money and pay the bills.
Obviously, this would include new self-employed options also.

How would running a hotel work? I'm hyped at the idea of having to deal with angry guests demanding special services/free meals and things
What about Celeb sims bringing in large groups of paps you can demand a bribe from or have guards literally throw out of the door? Secret doors in and out, the manager doing a flourish "STAY AWAY" as you escort famous sims to a limo (If they added cars).
Maybe manager sims have to deal with Bosses showing up or surprise investigations, keeping sims happy via offering free food/drinks or access to the spa, and dealing with chaos as staff quit or are caught leaving a room with a guest following the love heart rattle from City Living.
Obviously, this game can't be too extreme but you can have couples cheating and hooking up in rooms, the spouse could call and you need to choose whether to tell the truth or lie.
Sims sneaking in pets and getting loose.
Kids making messes.
Something breaking or fires causing everyone to flee!
If they took it back to Sims 2, you could have a lot more active jobs in the hotel, and maybe as a maid/butler you could find items left behind or even get a shock when coming to pick up things to be washed (Walking in on sims), if someones feeling lazy they can take the food lift up and down floors or just hide until works over XD
Running a hotel/working in a hotel could have so many options
