Erwin Pries is the guy who runs the shop in Strangerville. How do you think he pronounces his last name?

I'm voting for: Alien inutterable transliteration into human writing.

Actually, I just read that it's a German surname, so maybe Prees?

I am just going with Pries, like fries with the p, unless otherwise corrected.

Or maybe it's a variant spelling of Price?

I'm realizing I mostly say "Pree-ess" in my head.

I think it is Pree-ez. But I don’t know for sure.

Just realized we have very similar interpretations @Rouensims.

    Prize
Prize as it is a homophone with pries as in to pry, or to meddle into someone else’s business. It also rhymes with spies which Erwin, as a conspiracy theorist, would probably do a lot of—prying and spying.

    Preez
No idea how he would pronounce it, being an odd sort of fellow, but I've always heard it in my own head as Preez.
FYI: Just because you can see my signature, don't assume that I can see yours.
Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off. ;)

I don't know any Prieses personally, but, yes, that's how I'd pronounce it.

A quick search about the english pronounciation brought up this, sounds something like pry-es to my ear:

    Prees
Since I'm a german, I read his full name in german. In my saves he is recently scared by many things and runs terrified through the areas. This fact amused much more than it should be, but I cannot stop laughing about this cliché.

This is what I reckon. Erwin was prying that day. Erwin Pried (past tense simple), Erwin Pries (present simple.)

In that case I’d pronounce it as “Prize” or “Price”.

I say “Price” because of my ridiculous accent.

    Pry's, because he's a conspirator expert.
