Thank you @Nikkih. These are just one of the choices that I still keep going back to Sims 3. If by some miracle Sims 4 could sort of bypass Sims 3, then & only then will I stop going back & forth with 3 & 4. However, they each do give me perspective.
Picnic basket
Tea set
Tennis court or badminton
Putting greens
2 or 4 person row boat or canoe
Kids bike/ toddler trike
Chocolate maker( I'd like to sell chocolates at my flower shop)
Edit: Cello, drums,flute
I'd like more gym items. A bench press, dumbbell rack, swimming pool volley ball net. Of course these would require new animations so, don't really see it happening.
I really miss the kids' oven and lemonade stand. Oh, and their treehouses. Plus I love the voidcritters, so anything having to do with them.
Any more cooking appliances/culinary items would be appreciated, also. Including the chocolate/candy machine, tea sets, and picnic baskets. So juicers, deep fryers, etc. If it was on the Sims 3 store or in previous games, I want it and more. Plus nectar. I want nectarology back. It feels purposefully excluded at this point after fizzy juice and everything else.
Pool bar. Would really like that back. Also, kind of nitpicky, but I'd like a coffin for Bonehilda. I know we summon her now, but if I could provide a residential coffin, why not keep her like a butler? She is already turning into a roommate from a bug for me anyway. Might as well assign her a place to sleep. (Reported with save files.)
We could probably use some new instruments, too, and a few throwback items. These are much lower on my list than the specifics, though.
Small telescopes
one tile dollhouse
Sewing machine
Pottery wheel
Traditional tea pot, not one that looks like a coffee machine
Pool slides
Bicycle for children, tricycle for toddlers

I don't know if you already know but you can make a functional sandbox if you have island living. Use a low fence sims can step over as the edge of the sandbox. then use the terrain paint and fill your sandbox with the sand texture from island living. Your sims will be able to build sandcastles in this sandbox. This may not be exactly what you were thinking of, but it's close enough for me.
Bicycles for kids
Cars and garage doors
Tricycles for toddlers
Strollers for babies
Pool tables
Ground hot tubs
Static exercise bikes
Pizza oven
Pottery wheel
Glass making station
Jewelry making station
Toaster
Sofa beds
Functional towel dispensers and restroom hand driers for community lots (like these: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EwOzZAxWEA4u4QH?format=jpg&name=medium)
Upright pianos (not really new gameplay object but I still want them for smaller houses)
Saxophones
Doorbells
King size beds
Lawn mowers
This ^^^ with toddler trikes and pool tables...Can I please have my pool tables, because my sports bars do not feel like sports bars. Oh and a 1 tile dollhouse should be an easy thing. Please!!!!
I'd like all of the above please. A sandbox can be made from the sand that came with Sulani though. I've used that a lot with a small fence surround, in my back gardens.

I use that sandbox method too. I'd like most of the stuff listed above.
A chance to build a roller coaster and see my families use it would be a great bonus. Maybe a Theme park with lots of the stuff above and before in them. Somewhere to fence the kids in, lock the gate, allow them to enjoy themselves whilst parents go to have a meal or play the games machines or play in the Casino attached! I put a playpen attached to my restaurants now in that way!
