    Flickr Censors Sims 4 Vampire Pictures (if there are naked arms! :D)

    I uploaded a picture of a vampire sucking blood from the wrist of a Sim to Flickr. It got censored! Just FYI in case you want to upload pictures of Sims 4 vampires.

      It's like this on tumblr too and it's because of the AI system. If you have the image appealed, it will be an actual human and not a robot who reviews the content.

      On tumblr, I had a S3 picture of some trees get auto flagged. That's how silly the AI system can be. :D edit: My bad... It was mountains. lol Looked too much like a womans chest I guess.

      Good to know! I just thought maybe vampire pictures were too much for their delicate sensibilities, even when the vampirism is consensual.

      Lol, unless you are a simmer and know that's a vampire, it's not even clear what he's doing. He could be kissing, licking or sniffing her wrist. Or he could be looking closely to see if she has a splinter 🤣

      Back then when all it changed at tumblr , I had a picture (TS2) of two elders playing chess in the library flagged :D And they were wearing their winter outfits. So almost all skin what could see from them were their noses.. Other one had a big nose, tho :joy:

      Most likely it is the arm of the third sim in the foreground right side of the picture that got this picture flagged by the AI, rather than the vampire action. The AI doesn't actually know what anything is, it's just trained to flag things of a certain shape. So the arm is being "mistaken" for a different body part that is considered unacceptable to show.

      Oh my stars, they're actually showing a sims bare arm. That's just too scandalize even though showing a bare mermaid is practically G rated. (sartasic, rolling of my eyes) :p

      This is why I continue using imgur. Though I suspect one day they will fall to political correctness just like the others and I'll be forced to pay for server space so I can post whatever image I want.

      If you look at a photo of onions, you'll most likely just see onions. But Facebook apparently sees them differently, and has told a St. John's business its onions are too risqué for advertising on the site.

      Jackson McLean, a manager at Gaze Seed Company, said the business was unable to advertise its walla walla onions on Facebook after the company told them the picture on the seed's packaging went against Facebook's advertising guidelines.

      "We got notified the other day that it's an 'overtly sexual image' that they had to ban from the site," McLean said Monday. "I guess something about the two round shapes there could be misconstrued as something, in some way."

      McLean said the business pays Facebook for advertising, and was preparing to advertise the onions in the spring. When he got the response back from the site, he said all he could do was laugh.

      You should be fine if you just take the picture from a different angle, it was probably the arm to the right that triggered the bot.

      So it looks like you guys were right! I re-uploaded the picture without the arm, and it hasn't been censored.

      But what's the problem? I honestly don't see anything graphic. Yet search anything, and I will guarantee you there will be dozens of very explicit Second Life screenshots and outright "adult film" level photographic content I have to sift through--even on the default "moderate" SafeSearch results. This happened back when I was doing a lot of equestrian Sims back last year. I don't even want to go where the "cowgirl" results went. I kinda wish there was a "permanently block all photos from this person" not just "temporarily block all photos from this person" option.

      I use Flickr for some photo hosting, largely that of my collecting hobbies. I also browse it occasionally and use it for a base for some Sims, much the same way I mostly use stock photo websites. Their moderation is weird. There is tons of spam on there, some of it 3-4 years old, some of it having been reported by me years ago and nothing done with--including me specifically stating in the report "Shill account, junk results just to advertise some website". And then there are the people who seem to think Flickr is Pinterest and just reupload stuff from other websites.
