It's not a matter of abandoning Sims, just from what I know of Paralives..if it gets published, I am just more excited to play it then project Rene or LBY.
Progress. Thank you for sharing. Did notice that hands, regardless of skill level, remain at the centre of the keyboard rather than the full range as dictated by the music. They didn't keep tempo, either. Hopefully these will be fixed as development continues.
@Oldeseadogge Well, to accomplish that, you'd need a separate animation for each and every piece of music. TS4 doesn't have that.

Paralives has my favorite visual look of the big 3: PL, PR, and LBY.
Same besides some of the details on the skins I really like Paralives art style. Hard to judge which will be better Paralives worked on the art of the characters and Paramaker first while Life by You worked on the world and game play systems first leaving the art style for later development who knows what the characters in Life by You will look in a year or so at full release.

I presume you mean Paralives doesn't have that as that is the software under discussion. I can't speak for TS4 as seldom have a sim play a piano. Might be worth a shot just to see what sims do. I do remember the effect in TS2 as being very good. Do see your point, though.
The Patron just released a massive new update on personality. I'm very, very happy - especially compared to my criticisms of how personality in the Sims 3 and 4 were designed.

Besides the lines on the skins the Paralives team can do no wrong. I really like how they work to fill out a style like classic or modern and design an entire house with it everything feels so complete we won't have to be I'd love to build this but I'm missing this object or I can't complete the room because nothing color matches.

I need to know more of this coffin can you actually play a funeral in Paralives or will this be a Sims style vampire bed. Also the lamp from A Christmas Story but as a male leg lets go Paralives team so creative.

Both look very well done. Personally like the lower one, not so much the wall color but that it looks more homey and comfortable with ample books available.

Paralives really got build mode right there's just so much variety. The mattress is the same in both pictures but changing up the color and bed frame gives it a completely different look and something I had always wished for with Sims 4 every frame should work with every mattress option.

No, I'm going to stay with Maxis and wait to buy TS5 or whatever their new AAA game will be
I'll stick with Maxis because Project Rene/The Sims 5 will be free-to-play upon launch and I can guarantee that occults will be added over time. I don't really care for Paralives or the other Project Rene competitors (Life by You, Vivaland, etc.) like that but I also don't have any extreme hate towards them either. 😊

I don't see why it can't be both. The more recent updates on TS5 have me feeling a little bit better about it, but it doesn't have to be one or the other. I'm excited to see what Paralives is like and that doesn't mean that I won't buy TS5 if it also seems great.

The men's Adams apples looks good on this photo it's great the Paralives team is not ignoring male character customization with their Adam's apple neck slider. Glad to see a life simulator that's inclusive to its male players so we can actually make ourselves in game.

Life By You has the customisation options that I would want. The open world is a big pull.
