@simgirl1010 Whoa, English text embedded in the images? That's going to make a huge workload for them customizing for different countries
Yes, EA/Maxis did it in a way where it does not matter what country it was released in names did not matter but with Paralives, they may focus on that at a later time if they look at the feedback people are giving them. For me, I really do not focus the words on items too much, so it is not a problem for me.

I will be honest, Paralives is growing more and more on me as they reveal more things I do enjoy the art style, and didn't realize that they've shown off that much of gameplay/animations! They look very expressive, The Paras.
Yes, I plan on getting Paralives as soon as it's released (possible 2021)
Nice to see some more balding hair options for our older Parafolks really like the style of clothing they went with I'm not going to instantly have to turn to cc to play unlike Sims 4.
Sims 4 went from "You Rule" to "One of the stories we want you to tell"

Honestly never heard of paralives and just looked, im glad there will now be new players competing as i feel that ea have had the advantage for a long time in this genre not to mention the serious overpriced games/dlcs over the years that tend to now be cutting down a huge amount of the content you actually get for the money. I think its time for me to move to something else the sims although fun is getting far too expensive for me personally.

Interesting and informative video and others that lead to. Liking how build mode gets down to the small details like being able to stack dishes on shelves. Am working on a major building project where that will be important. It will be interesting to see if one of their 'sims' can walk up to a counter, take a cup and saucer from the stash, fill cup with milk/coffee/tea, take a packet of biscuits (cookies) from a basket, and then proceed to have their snack. Am also hoping there will be elevators and spiral staircases. As it now stands, will need to take my project to TS2 as TS4 build mode is proving itself incapable of doing/providing what I need. Have noticed that LBY 'sims' move in a jerky, stiff, awkward manner that reminds me of robots in bad 1950s sci-fi movies. Facial expressions are not much better.
I prefer Sims 5 over the competitors, because Sims 5 looks way better in features and gameplay, and it will obviously be better because they know what they're doing. The competitors are newbies who don't know what they're doing.
What features exactly? Micro transactions? Online Only gameplay?
Also have you ever heard of Cities: Skylines? A game by six people who had never made a city sim before and crushed the competition.

Providing they will. Most games do not change textures on signs etc. You don't see Fallout games change the road signs to German just because the subtitles or dubbing is in German.

Progress. Thank you for sharing. Did notice that hands, regardless of skill level, remain at the centre of the keyboard rather than the full range as dictated by the music. They didn't keep tempo, either. Hopefully these will be fixed as development continues.
There are so many questions and potential negatives still to be addressed yet. But if I am answering for the way I feel today… I will still hold off downloading until I know just how restrictive this “free” game is - remember Sims 4 initial release and basic “missing” content debacle and the $$$$$ needed to be spent on it - especially when there are/will be alternative simulated life games to be explored, discovered and played as well as Sims 4 still continuing and after all the massive outlay of cash on it, I want many more years of gameplay yet. I still can not understand how the gameplay in Rene will be immersive and decent quality when it is being made to be a mobile friendly game as well; nor the way the game will manage the disparity between differing paid content different players will own (or not own) when inviting others into their game.
I don't know, I love Maxis, but I don't want a TS5 MMO and might have to jump ship and go with Steam's game.
I still can't get past the dual graphic style they are going with.
Parafolks: comic book style, outlined in what looks to be a pencil, drawn on details as if it is a flat 2D drawing done on paper Furniture, Objects, World: some objects have a semi-realistic yet stylized look (the furniture in this screenshot), and some of the objects look totally cartoony (the food and the glass) but all of it is without the hand drawn, pencil outlines and detailing. So it doesn't have that comic book look.
It's so weird, and it 100% messes with my OCD. I need visual cohesiveness. I can't handle the 2 different styles in the same game.
I don't mind the look of the objects ...... but, I can say that I still hate the look of the people.
But, I will give them kudos on some of their amazing animations though.

Same. To me it's like drawn Donald Duck , straight from the comic , is walking in computer-animated Disney movie.
I know most people care zero about graphics here, but I just cannot play a game I "hate" to look at. No matter how "good" gameplay it has.
ETA: would be totally different if the background would be similar style as the paras, too.
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..

I like the art style of the characters and I like the graphics of the surroundings but, for me, they just don't go together. The characters look like 2D paper dolls in a 3D world.
Well, with the base game supposedly planning to be given out free does this mean the poll’s invalid.
Anyone who isn't new to gaming or completely gullible knows that a free game is never free.
I'm not too psyched about the character art style either, but I do like the handling of skin tones and hair, so maybe I will come around. Or it will change completely by launch even?

That's very impressive.
