Does anyone know anything about the new update? Origin was updating the game and I hadn't played it for a few days.

Some free stuff, its very nice but a bit underwhelming as the celebration of the 21ist anniversary of the Sims its supposed to be. No bug fixes of note, stairs in double volumes are still broken.

@WaytoomanyUIDs I was thinking we were going to have a birthday thing for sims characters, we would be able to give them more personalities or characteristics. I wish they'd fix the graphics.

What's going on with the graphics? I haven't loaded the game in a few days so I haven't seen anything.

I absolutely love the fact that they invited cc makers from the community to do the creating. The objects and CAS items are nice but the fact that they were made by players is really a nice gesture and shows some respect for some of those talented creators out there. There were some fixes too but they seemed insignificant: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/987383/february-25th-2021-patch-notes.

I haven't had any Graphics issues at all so I am not sure what needed fixed. (Graphics issues are generally on the user's end). I did have to remove a couple of small mods due to tuning issues but nothing major.

Haven't noticed any graphical issues myself. Maybe @morganlefaye is referring to the remaining blotchiness on some of the skin textures?

@WaytoomanyUIDs no it's in my graphics like the game is just terrible looking. There's nothing I can do about it. It's jagged in the world.. even my sim has a jaggediness..

@SimsLady2000 I don't have any mods and someone told me earlier that they had went down 1000 on the 2048? I don't know how to explain. I wish I could show you a picture to show what I mean, but it's hard for me to do so even with the websites.

Hmm, that's strange. I'd back up your "The Sims 4" directory under Documents, then start Sims4 and let it generate a new one and then in a new game see if there is the same issue. If its disappeared, then copy over your Saves, Tray, Screenshots and Videos folders and the Mods folders if you use them. Sometimes the settings get corrupted and this is the easiest way of fixing it.

If that doesn't help, just copy the whole folder back.

Might also be also worth your while checking in the tech support forums over in AnswerHQ.

That's in the mods section but it's instructions for restoring your graphics quality, not a mod or something you'd need to download. Also explains a little bit about the cause.
