I'm trying to be a bit more realistic with my dining. Quick meals on weekday breakfasts and nice big weekend meals. I tend to gravitate towards spaghetti and chili but I do try to vary it up a bit depending on the household.
Franks and beans and when they laugh I do too; and when they have reached level 3 cooking, Pan Fried Tilapia or after they have been fishing, Fried Fish - so I don’t have to go to the gym.
This is going to be a long winded answer. The mother of my legacy family died when the kids were toddlers, so the dad hired a nanny. The nanny used to cook Garlic Noodles for them every day. The father ended up marrying her, so I still have her make Garlic Noodles when the kids are over. I also have the adult kids make the same dish for their families when they've had a rough day. I just think it's cute and is my way of giving the game play some personality.
I like having them cook various dishes, so they hardly ever eat the same thing in a row. This means I always end up with lots of leftovers. Luckily they no longer spoil in the fridge.
I love to use a variety of dishes. I typically use the vegetarian ones since I have some Sims with that trait, and I don't like to take a chance of them eating the wrong thing.

Now wait, we can add sims and food here. So You should ask, what do you serve your sims, and a recipe for it. A real one. Lets play our sims and learn to cook too. https://www.mccormick.com/recipes/breakfast-brunch/quick-and-easy-french-toast?utm_source=GoogleAds&utm_medium=SEM&utm_campaign=SEM_MC_BRD_MUL_AlwaysOn_US-EN_GOOG_SEM_NB_REC_BMM_NonAudience_ALL_N/A_b_g_c_431870488521_+easy +french +toast_p54446052641&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0caCBhCIARIsAGAfuMzGrV6sShZ0DJN01rySCrxqTmCJAFihceS3UhH7CrkwbspzolFZ4tAaAtuwEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
