Can't decide where to move! (Snowy Escape)

I need to move my household, but I am not a good builder. I started in James' starter home and I now need to move and I can't find a place I like.
The only house I really like is the one right next to the ski lift (the rental) but that one is perma-covered in snow AND next to a ski lift, which I know no sane Sim would like to live near.

I have no idea how that lot looks like without the snow, but I guess I can move it...

Edit: I really wish you could turn off the snow when building.
I think I am going to trade place with that one and Deli's rental and hope the landscaping is fixable.

I think I have decided to move 5-1-2 Kiyomatsu to 2-4-2 Wakabamori and turn it residental. It's the only build except for James' starter I really like. I just hope the landscaping can be made to match. I better try that in a new save first and see how it works out.
