Editorial Notes:
The purpose of this Story is mainly for me to play sims for the first time without interfering with what the sims chose to do. I will (almost) never help them decide actions to take in this story. The daily tasks will be up to them. The only things I will do is to buy them what I believe they need, and sell what I believe they don’t need, add life time bonuses, luck wishes and stuff like that. The originals sims all start with at least 1 in all skill, later added sims can be specialized (the Botan Nara having garden skills), There is no house, no jobs, no town on this map. I hope we will re-populate this world, but it is essential up to the sims.

New political System as of 2728.
Legislations:
§1 Government
§1.1 The Assembly is a lifetime cabinet, new members by public vote.
§1.2 The Assembly is the executive and judicial power
§1.3 The Assembly can suggest new laws
§1.4 New laws will be passed by public vote
§2 Tax
§2.0 Tax 2728 - tax rate 3,1% of family net value - monthly 0,257%.

Old political system (as longs as the village was dependante on Emt (up to dec. 2727)
The village will have to build it all from the taxes collected, (or sometime gifted from "Ent"), I have tuned the “bills” to 2%/week (furnished lot value + household funds), I the story that will transfer to 3.4% from every household moved to “Village” funds at the first summer day each year, enabling building community lots (in the distanced future).
Political Structure Elder Assembly:
Must be at least 33 years old (adult) - Max one from each house - Oldest in house – Max. six members prefer highest tax payer families if more than six households. – Leader 2 votes. Elder 1 vote
Yearly Donations: Paid in June after tax calculation:
The donations (if the combined yearly tax is less than 18.000$):
Settelment Elder Council Yearly
Settelment leader 1500
Elder 1000
Other Adult+ 700
Other Young Adults 500
Teens 300
Child 100
Other gameplay facts.
I am using a rather long lifetime span, where one in-game day is a month. 12 days a year, elder starts at 55 with expected lifetime around 73 years (876 in-game days), the game is tuned to have a "relative" longer day,

The trade station is a consignment store. Interactions will not always be auto as I want to control what and when they sell. “The community Elders” will also control who will work there. If someone will no longer be allowed to work there I will give the person, the previous occupation back (typically winter close down but also I the “Elders” prefer to change who will work there). This goes for all jobs - the Elders (me) decide who works where.

As of Dec. 2726:
Student will move separate housing (two or three in one home) at the age of 22. As Terry already got his own household he will remain as “free” settler, but he and Elea will get a bigger home prepared for 3 “graduates” later. Plant seed in spring will be "allowed" at least until the first time I see an autoplant.

Tax from “community” enterprise is not a random number, it is a mix of how much money the village has and how many visitors was in the “shop”
Pegasus: 0,012 x combined cash + $50 / visitor
Laundromat: 0,00075 x combined cash + $5 / visitor
Fashion House: 0,0014 x combined net value + $225 / visitor
Trade Station, will be the combined consignment fee from all trade, no matter if “local” or “free settlers”.
(to make it easier will mention sales before fee in sales list)

    Prologue – The Flood

Lord, here comes the flood - We'll say goodbye to flesh and blood - If again the seas are silent
In any still alive - It'll be those who gave their island to survive - Drink up, dreamers, you're running dry
When the flood calls - You have no home, you have no walls - In the thunder crash
    You're a thousand minds, within a flash.

About 600 years ago the earth was haunted by a long series of global pandemics. The overpopulated home of humanity, fighting to create new vaccines to keep the death toll down. While also seeing the water raise due to global warming. The final stroke was a large underwater earthquake at the Mid-Atlantic Volcanic Ridge, flooding all the major cities in the western world, completely devastating world economy.

A group of survivors moved into the mountains, in a fortified village they fended of the attacks from the gangs of homeless hordes attempting to steal their belongings, and as time passes the attacks was rare, the gangs either died out, or moved to other locations.

    y2jp95C.jpg

    credits
The first to leave the relative security of the mountain village was Greg Preston. A few days after his young wife left him for the village blacksmith. One spring day he had packed down all his belongings put them in a heavy wagon, and headed down towards the river where no one from the village had been, for several generations. He travelled for three day without meeting anyone, then the old wagon broke down.

Greg Preston’s Diary 2nd of March 2724 AD.
Me and Pongo stopped close to the River, I put all the boxes with clothes and my other belongings at the ground, and we headed out to look for a good spot to settle down.

    BAWJz0o.jpg

Just about half an hour walk from the wracked wagon I found a small fresh water lake, big enough to possibly contain fish. The rivers might still be polluted, so I did not dare to eat anything from there.
I decided to build a small home close to the lake. It was only 3 days walk from the mountain village. I could still walk back to sell or buy important things there, whenever I needed to.
I found some wild plants by the lake they might become an important food resource for us.

    Wio4Iwq.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 21nd of May 2724 AD.
It took me almost three months to build my home, at this point my food resources was almost used, now I needed to provide for myself to survive.
The cottage was as simple as you could imaging, just one room, the toilet just separated from the main room with a half wall, but I hope it will be enough for me and Pongo.

    Episode 1 – Hen House

from here we run at 100% auto

Greg was 55 years old leaving the mountain village, Pongo was four. Greg was known in the village to be a good and brave although sometimes absent-minded man, a bit of a loner that loved his dog more than any human.

Greg Preston’s Diary 1st of June 2724 AD.
The last week of spring, I build a hen house after which I had 8.500 $ left.
Today I was walking around the area for harvestable fruits and vegetables. I found an apple tree with some great apples to harvest. It was very hot, I stayed in the shadow of the trees for a long time, before I went home.

    FWaQqM3.jpg

The rest of the day I was talking with the chickens, giving them food and water, basically until sunset.

    iPuE4vI.jpg

A raccoon came and went through the garbage, I did pick up the trash-can but decided to leave the trash on the ground. Not to scare the animal.

    pPEUvfD.jpg

I went to bed around 8 PM, fulfilled with the feeling of being wonderful alone with my animals and the comfort of all the great cheap stuff I did bring along. My mood was high.

@Tamijo I have Entworld in my downloaded worlds folder. I've not explored it yet.
I look forward to seeing it through your pictures and story.
Now that I see Greg up close he is a little older than I thought with the distance picture.
Guess it is good he is a loner living with just the dog down the mountain from the others.
That is a very pretty sunset.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds for him.

    Episode 2 – A Stranger

And I listen for the whisper - Of your sweet insanity
While I formulate denials - Of your effect on me
    You're a stranger - So what do I care?
You vanish today - Not the first time I hear - All the lies
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qypuo3T4aHQ

June went without much happening in the life of Greg and Pongo. Cooking what he had left from the mountain village, cleaning and the dishes was done in the sink.

    KAB0T19.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 11th of July 2724 AD.
Life was fine by the River, although we did get bad whether from time to time having to spend more time inside. On the better days, I spend most of my time cleaning, feeding and talking with the Chickens. I also liked to see the wildlife passing our cottage, Deer and Wild Horses.

    Moon Down over the cottage

    N2xT9xi.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 14th of July 2724 AD.
After not seeing a human being for more than two years. I suddenly saw this small house. I knew it would be dangerous to get close, so many have been shot attempting to approach other people and a had no weapon, but I was so hungry and needed to meet someone to help me, that I took my chances.

    r7lZQCe.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 16th of July 2724 AD.

Greg was an old loner, but kind. We came of at the wrong foot to begin with, but he slowly seemed more and more content with me in his cottage.

    1TVTTbZ.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 23th of July 2724 AD.
He had a wonderful dog and I could get food and showers, I loved it here after years of sleeping outside. After a while, even though I would still consider him very strange and introvert, I would say we had become friends. I was not sure what to do, should I stay here with this odd older man, he had never actually asked me to stay and could I even trust him?

    gukajIH.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 25th of July 2724 AD.
I had been a bit sick, nothing serious but I slept more than usual. This morning when I woke up I went outside to ask Jenny if she needed some bread with jam. I could not find her, she was gone. I rapidly went trough all my stuff, nothing was stolen.

I went outside, as the chickens has hatched, lovely of course, but I must admit it was not the same joy without her. As strange as that may seem, I missed her.

    CsKszcu.jpg

    COMMUNITY QUESTION:
Greg will visit the mountain village, before winter time comes and will close down the mountain trail.
    Should he:
    A: Get the cheap dishwasher
B: Keep doing the dishes in the Sink and save the $ for harder times

(If tied or no one answers default will be the last option)

Curious wildlife gathering around the cottage

@Tamijo I'm sure even for a loner having the company must have been nice.
It's a shame that she disappeared like that. No goodbye or anything.
Glad she didn't take anything on her way out either.
I think he should save his money. The winter could be really hard and he might need it come spring to buy plants.

Episode 3 – Above and Afar

Visionary mountains - Above and afar,
Like answers to questions - Of life, love,
Love and the longing to survive - Truth though distorted.
Are words I create - Today the parting - Tonight, tonight
At the peak of your - Visionary mountains.

Greg turned 56 in August, but he did not think about it at all, just another day for him at the cottage by the river.

Greg Preston’s Diary 28th of August 2724 AD.

This was my last day in the cottage, we would leave for the mountain village tomorrow. Pongo would come with me. I found some old pieces of fence, at a ruined farm to secure the chickens and not lose them to wild animals.

    HXeTEOm.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 7th of September 2724 AD.

It took me 8 days to get back to the mountain village, naturally much harder to do the uphill journey than the downhill. I still have a small house here and to begin with It was quite nice to be back.

    Y2t4ZNv.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 15th of September 2724 AD.

I have now been here about two weeks. It is starting to get on my nerves. I am looking forward to get back to the river. I have bought, a shelf, a bicycle, food and other small things. I saw a very smart dishwasher, but decided not to get it, it was to heavy and expensive. Tonight, I need a good meal at the restaurant, heading back tomorrow.

    01hCEmO.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 26th of September 2724 AD.

I borrowed an Oxe and Wagon from one of my few friends in the village, now I was back in the river cottage with all the new stuff I bought. I have 6.721$ left after getting back to the cottage

    K1dXcqD.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 2rd of October 2724 AD.

The first I did after coming back was to tear down that awful fence around the chickens, then just cleaning up a bit in the garden. Anyway, this morning I woke up to horrible weather, staying inside I just cooked a bit of food, glancing out the window I saw her, Jenny was back.

Editorial comments for those who want a deeper look into the setup and tricks behind the story:
I don’t think I will keep updating too much on these kind of things in the long run, but for now I expect that some might be interested what the restrictions are for my story, so here is a few details.:
Stuff like the fence I see as a storyline “purchase” and it will have no effect on the household economy.
(will be bought and sold to 0 value)
The mountain village is a save of it own, so will have no side effect in the “main save” also just a storyline décor. Can’t gain skill or anything else to be transferred to main save there.
Every sim will start with 1 (or more) skill in everything as that seems to be the value to trigger the sims to be more active.
The Book Shelf was something I decided Greg should get, to test if he would read skill books, expect he won’t but off course hope he will. (he paid)
The bike and also a sun protective parasol was both stuff he bought, while I was watching him from my “Heavenly” house, (the secret lot created to later import new characters)
Jenny (my name) was not a character I created. She was really a homeless sim that suddenly called him. I just edited her to look homeless (nothing else). She is still the personality the game created. I just called her back and invited her over. (she now lives in the “Heavenly” house not to lose her, as I have “remove all homeless every night activated”)
Another action I will take (sort of against my intensions) is repair, as I would rather do that than have “outsiders” in the game, that goes for every outsider, they will be avoided at all cost no matter the consequence. The only allowed AI will be the post and the newspaper, everyone else will be annihilated, besides the very few that will be adapted as characters like Jenny

@Tamijo Interesting song. I liked the music.
I do hope the chickens stay safe. I see they did.
Glad he found all well at his home on the mountain and no one tried to take it over.
Sounds like he spent his money wisely and has plenty leftover.
    Interesting that Jenny came back.
I generally make my sims learn handiness and do their own repairs. If it is a large family maybe only one or two will learn.

    @bekkasan
    Thanks
Would also like to get my sims to learn hardiness, it is just that with my setup I can force them to read books.
As mentioned I will send them to repair, so they will learn by doing.

    Episode 4 – The River

    Music
I live by the river - And I hide my house away - Then just like the river
I can change my ways - Oh, if you come to love me - You would stay forever
Inside my heart - Inside my dreams - And time will fade - In time we'll love

    Cn93yeK.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 3rd of October 2724 AD.

Jenny was not gone, she had been to a “secret” hideout she had, to get a typewriter for me. On the way back she saw a group of dangerous people and had to hide, she said. Waiting for them to disappear.
I was so glad she would bring a typewriter to me. I asked her if she was interested in me building a shelter here, so she could stay close and we could help each other.

    Gpmo6cN.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 5th of October 2724 AD.

I afraid I am getting senile, yesterday I forgot my coking on the stove and almost burned down my home. luckily, I had a fire extinguisher. Today I am building walls around the bathroom, with Jenny here half a wall is not right. Will reuse the half wall outside to get a shelter from the wind.

    sl4X5vs.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 7th of October 2724 AD.

Greg was very kind. We had truly become friends. This time I brought my valuable jewellery from my hideout. He knew of a village in the mountains. I had to trust him and ask him to go there and get me important things I needed. I was ready to settle down here, and needed things like clothing, lamps, stove and toilet. I can stay with Pongo in his house while he is away. I will pay Greg 1000$ to bring me all the things I need, that is only fair.

    UumNUBy.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 12th of October 2724 AD.

It has been quite and calm here by the river, have just relaxed feeling great about living in a real home.
Today some wild horses came, it was beautiful.

    Bfb7vxZ.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 30th of October 2724 AD.

Gregg was back after about 10 days. He was able to borrow the Oxe and Wagon again even though he would not be able to return it until springtime. We both worked very hard on my cottage, getting materials form the few old barns and farm still standing in the area. The house is ready for me to move in today, just need to move in the furniture in from the Wagon. Greg also bought the oil paint, brushes, palette and easel that I requested.

    WGCcI7u.jpg

    Editorial
Funds: Greg: 7.465 (incl 1000$ from Jenny) - Jenny: 8.079 (after house and furniture)
Wanted them to be in two separate households, to check out the difference between auto in household versus auto “townpeople”. I belive the auto-active sims are different compared to the “town sim” but I am not sure. The typewriter is a functional “computer” so he can write books on it.

From here one household will be active at the time, approx. 8 hours at the time, unless they are sent on special missions like the mountain village trips, I run on a slowed down timer so 8 hours are longer than standard game speed.

@Tamijo I enjoyed the music. Great choice seeing he lives by the river. Love the choices they made with the guitar and xylophone adding so much atmosphere to the song.
Enjoyed the update. It great seeing Jenny become a member of the little community.
Awesome that she gifted him with the typewriter to make his writing easier.
I hope he isn't getting senile but forgetful so wrapped up in his writing.
I love that the horses came to visit. Perhaps Greg can try to tame one to make his treks up to the mountain faster.
I guess that will be dependent on him to do since you are trying to not interfere.
My sims generally learn to do handiness by repairing broken things in the home. Once in a blue moon one will get the wish to do a class and I will send them. I rarely have them read a book unless they get the wish for it.

Hope they will attempt to repair, but i think the just call a repair-guy and that cant happen in this save.

Episode 5 – Five Precious Stones

    Music:
    Franz Liszt : Chasse-neige (1851)
The French title of this work has been translated as “snowstorm,” though It is widely accepted that a more accurate translation is “a wind whipping up snow that has already fallen”. Maybe we can actually hear that in the music, when we know that was the intension.

Jenny Richards Diary 13th of November 2724 AD.
I went back to my old shelter to pick up the last possessions I had there, it was just a few books, some kitchenware and my old guitar.

    XGxVuUz.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 28th of November 2724 AD.

The month have passed as I like it best, Jenny and I are very good friends by now, but we did not see each other too much this month. Plenty of time for me to enjoy my solitude. I just did some work outside the house to get rid of the leaves before winter time, and messed around with the typewriter without actually doing any serious writing.

    otphJC6.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 6th of December 2724 AD.

It was now wintertime in our small community, but the weather was quite nice the first few day of December, I could have my supper outside.

    NglVQNS.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 9th of December 2724 AD.

After spending all my time near the River in Greg’s or my own house, for the first time I took some days to explore the area. Did not find anything useful to us, but it was a nice to get around a little bit although I generally do not like being outside too much.

    TaMFMYD.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 20th of December 2724 AD.

The last two weeks at night time protected by the darkness, I have explored a large part of the area surrounding out branch of the river. I found a spot that looks great for fishing at the river, Jenny told me others do, so I guess it is safe. Haven’t attempted it yet as I need to prepare fishing gear first.

What I have also found to my great surprise is that some of the area must have been populated recently, as there is still paved roads and functional bridges. I guess they abandoned the site for some reason.

    HItnMrA.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 27th of December 2724 AD.

What I was actually looking for, was precious stone and similar valuable items, that I could sell in the mountain village when I returned at springtime. This was an old mining area. Looking alongside the river bank, I was able to find 5 stones with a combined value of more than 500$

The last stone was a diamond, that I found quite near to our community on a small peninsula in the river, containing an ancient Neolithic construction. A beautiful sight with the snow falling silently to the ground.

    Editorial:
Funds after this episode: Greg: 6.757 - Jenny: 8.079
Funny enough after both playing a bit on the same guitar, (Jenny play a lot and is now quite good) they have both reg. as a self-employed band, something I have wanted to do in my Janis story but was never allowed too. :'( In this story it makes no sense at all. As far as I can tell no band was actually formed yet.
They both have the wish for “jamming” & “adopt a horse” coming up all the time. Janis also seek to sculpture and become a stylist.

At the end of November, two community lots have been added. A large fishing “resort” at the river and a hangout (the one Jenny visited), this latter will be turned into a wild fruit and vegetable “resort” at least for one season attempting to get the community interested in gardening.
Greg only use the typewriter to raise his fun-meter.

Now also squirrels come near the houses, a lot of wildlife at this part of the map

    Episode 6 – Friends

    Music:
Friends - Where would I be without friends to take good care of me - My friends
What would I do, I would be alone on my own
Enemies, some say add spice to your life - But I've always hated to be so disliked
I can't see why in this short span of time - Anyone does without friends
Greg Preston’s Diary 17th of January 2725 AD.
The first month of the year have passed by, it had been very cold and we primarily stayed inside to keep warm. I mainly came out to feed the chickens although they haven’t produced any egg’s to supply my food reserves. My main source of food this month has been salad.

    l7QszR3.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 21th of January 2725 AD.

Gregg built a scarry snowman. “To protect us from evil spirits” he said with a smile, but I did not like it.

    B2jW1t8.jpg

Near the end of the month Pongo saw someone, at the area with the old wagons, but of course neither Greg nor Jenny would know about that.

    jqPtN1Y.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 16th of February 2725 AD.
I spend the first two weeks of February again searching the Riverbanks for gems and other valuables. This time I dared to go out in daylight and it was a lot easier than last time. Found several expensive items amongst which a large luminous gemstone and a piece of palladium the most valuable. Together they should be able to be sold for at least 700$. I also found a Lizard that I sadly lost again and a small bird.

    HPsGE6g.jpg

The small bird was a parakeet, not every valuable so I decided to built a cage and keep it.

    cP3IAF2.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 20th of January 2725 AD.

Being alone most of January, both of us I separate houses, due to the cold weather. We saw each other much more this month. I often came over to write a little poem or song on the typewriter, while Greg would cook a meal or make a salad for us to enjoy together.

    vhLQ0s3.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 24th of February 2725 AD.
Jenny have become like the daughter I never had. We have spent a lot of time together recently. Sometimes she falls asleep on my bed, then I will use the couch, cos I do not what to wake her up. I think this is the best time I have ever had.

    hKpmYMc.jpg

    COMMUNITY QUESTION:
Jenny will join Greg visiting the mountain village shortly. She will get an invitation to join classes in painting. Should he:
A: Take the master class at 1750$ to gain 4 skill point.
B: Take the beginner class at 400$, to gain 1 skill point
(If tied or no one answers default will be the last option)

    Editorial:
Funds after this episode: Greg: 5.748 - Jenny: 8.048
The henhouse does produce egg’s but Greg do not harvest. :'(
She uses the “typewriter” to chat – but we can’t use those words in this story.
Gregg do actually serve the meal and they share it together, friendship bar maxed.
    Don’t ask, I don’t know who that was :o

@Tamijo Enjoyed the updates and the piano piece was very good!
It is interesting they are both happier by themselves but I expect it is a least nice having someone nearby in case something goes wrong.
Love the pic of him raking with the animals in the yard. Such serenity in that picture.
It is good they are exploring the nearby areas.
Glad to see he was able to find some precious stones.
I don't understand why you couldn't form a band in your other save. My sims get wishes just about every time they pick up an instrument. Sometime this game doesn't make sense with the glitches and bugs that happen. :/
Great song, just what I was thinking about having a friend around.
I hope the person is not a bad one! lol...I just read under the spoiler!
That is sweet he considers her like a daughter.
It's good they can have a meal together and enjoy each others company.
You are so very good at this challenge. I would be directing him at least a little. Someone would have to tie my hands down to keep me from having them do something productive (like harvest eggs) or satisfy a wish. That is why I don't do challenges...too many rules.
I would do the beginner class only. I like watching my sims struggle to get better at painting.
    Beautiful scenery picture!

I don't understand why you couldn't form a band in your other save.
My guess is that it is because the save was from before I added the DLC. Sometimes you have to start a new game to take full effect of new contence.

You are so very good at this challenge.
Thanks, I do my best, but I few things I have to do, like paying the bills. I'm not 100% against doing something if it add a lot to the story, but it has only been 3-4 times over the entire save. As with the new "stranger", he went to that site on his own, but I send the dog for the storyline, as it did not change anything but the picture.
If i have to do more important stuff it will be mentioned in the "editorial"
In general I like all my PC games to be impossible, if it gets to easy I am bored.

    @Tamijo : this was a good read!
Interesting approach of playing! I couldn´t even think of not directing my Sims if they don´t do what I want! (I don´t micromanage but intervene when they do something they shouldn´t)
I like the thought of populating a town from the beginning, let´s see how long it will last untill it´s overcrowded. :D
The lonesome stranger looks scary, I hope he is not evil!!!
So sweet that Greg thinks of Jenny as his daughter!
Let her take the beginner class, she´ll get better with every picture. Do you have NRaas Story Progression in this game?

    Retuner
    Relativity
    Register
    Overwatch

    Episode 7 – School's Out

Jenny Richards Diary 8th of March 2725 AD.

It was a dangerous but also beautiful journey up to the mountain village “Ent”. Now that Greg had survived the winter, he was looked upon with respect and we were welcomed by everyone.
The first we did after getting some sleep, was visiting the jeweller, inside the mountain in the old silver mine. Greg sold all his gems for 1433$

    NKRVkek.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 10th of March 2725 AD.

I was invited to meet with members from the Village Elder Council and St. John’s Educational Foundation today. They made me an offer. Interested in my settlement by the river the wanted to send students with me, to educate them in life in the wilderness.

    BWRy0sQ.jpg

The deal was that I should provide for four students for two years, then either they would return to the mountain village or build a house of their own and stay in “The River” settlement. The Elder Council would supply the needed funding if the decided to stay. Up front I was given 5500$ to pay for the needed extension of my cottage and the daily needs of the students and the Council would buy the Oxe and Wagon for me to keep. I accepted.

    hk7u4o5.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 10th of March 2725 AD.

While Greg was at the meeting, I was taught some basic painting skills, the teacher was quite nice but my attempts to change the class into something more physical was sadly denied.

    NQW7ym7.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 17th of March 2725 AD.

Normally March would be a safe month to travel down from the mountain, but not this year. We were caught up in a bad snow storm. I decided to leave the wagon behind, as it was heavily loaded with building materials. That way we could crosse the frozen river, saving many hours, not freeze to death.

    H2oI8f1.jpg

Greg Preston’s Diary 25th of March 2725 AD.

Soon most of the snow was melting. With all the extra hands we now had and a wagon full of construction materials, it did not take us long to extend my cottage with a new wing containing 4 beds and an extra bathroom.

    dLvN2Ba.jpg

    Introduction new characters

    Biographies:

    Terry Scully
The oldest of the students, born in 2706 (19), he would have finished a private education as construction and electrical worker this summer, at the “Ent Construction Cooperations”, already skilled he should be an asset to the settlement whenever a building project was needed or something broken down needed fixing.

    KVmj2tA.jpg

    Elea Helsby
Born in 2708 (17), Elea have been taught at the “Ent Agronomy” specialising in fishing technics. She should be able to bring home some food for the household if that education is worth anything. She is also interested in sculpturing.

    yIkWU77.jpg

    John Hallett
Born in 2709 (16). John has only the basic education and was send here only to learn, can’t expect him to add a lot to the community from the beginning. John is a bit neurotic but his teachers from St. John’s said it is not too bad.

    zxJQmV0.jpg

    Myra Frances
Born in 2710 (15). Myra just as John got just basic education. Myra comes from one of the leading families in the mountain village and she is a bit of a snob. It has been a great surprise to everyone that knows her, that she has decided to go to the “River” settlement. No one knows why she did it. If you ask her, she just says it could be interesting.

Not much to say about this update, just that the four young people was (almost) random creations, changes just a few smaller things that I though would not fit the storyline

@tamijo Nice funds from the jewels.
Interesting meeting and wanting to send students to learn with Greg.
    Glad to see Greg accepted.
    Poor Jenny being denied!
Bummer about the snowstorm but glad they all survived.
That looked dangerous crossing the river even if frozen.
Interesting group of newbies and hope they each bring something worthwhile to the settlement.

Episode 8 – The small Fish

The first thing that I saw as - The fisherman smiled at me - Were empty people dressed in grey,
Floating out to sea - The rain lashed down in darkness - A lizard blinked an eye - And time stopped in the silence - The small fish gave a cry
Greg Preston’s Diary 4th of April 2725 AD
Bought some fishing gear in the mountain village and today I caught my first, a relatively small Goldfish.

    Jn0oshP.jpg

From Greg Preston’s Report to St. John’s Educational Foundation – April 2725
Terry, Elea and John have all become friends after just this first month. Everything seems to be good with those three at a social level.

    Iqpu2n8.jpg

It is different with the younger Myra. she keeps to herself, often working in the gardens or taking a walk on her own. It is not that she is unfriendly against anyone she just spends more time on her own.

    vaCHOnM.jpg

Myra is not the only one doing what she can for our household. Terry already shown what he can with tools.

    8Z9klAW.jpg

Everyone else participating with cooking and cleaning.

    Mz2GNXJ.jpg

Jenny Richards Diary 27th of April 2725 AD
I have been staying by myself for most of this month, not to interfere with the work Greg has to do with the youngster. Playing my guitar a lot and I am getting quite good at it. It is not that I haven’t spent some time with Greg, we are still very good friends.

    bd5HTtC.jpg

    Editorial:
Funds after this episode: Greg: 5.418 - Jenny: 7.532
Elea Helsby was created with several hairstyles, now edited to just one
This time directed Terry to repair, but still working with “nraas” trying to make everything auto.

A piece of rock containing gold was found in Greg’s garden, either the rain must have wasted it free or Pongo dug it up
