Sims 3 launcher will not stay logged in

My launcher will not stay logged in. I also have Origin. Sims 3 was installed from disc as the code was apparently "used" and Origin wouldn't let me download it from there. I've owned the disc from 2010 and wanted to put it on my new computer.

Origin recognized most of my expacs. One I had to install from disc.

I go to download stuff from store. It will download and install but the downloaded worlds will not be found by my game. I alternate from not being able to log in to my account at all to not being able to stay online in order to access Dragon Valley, which is where I want to play.

Are there any fixes for my issues?

The first thing to try is to clear the cache on internet Explorer.
Even if you don't personally use internet explorer, the launcher relies on it.
And 95% of the time clearing the browsing history/cache on IE works.

I did that about 15 times with no success.

Internet explorer correct and not microsoft edge?
