How about a Paris and Italian FASHION capital themed expansion pack?

So what do you simmers think about a Sims4 Paris and Italian fashion capital themed expansion pack in the near future?

It could include the modeling career and runway activity we never got in Sims4 Get Famous pack (Though you see it in Sims Mobile, btw). Plus, interesting locations like museums, shopping venues, restaurant options, chocolate candy making shops, and new food cuisine. The fashion photography career could also merge with this pack, too.

I know we have the Windenburg world from the Sims4 Get Together pack. However, it's mostly based on places like Amsterdam and Switzerland.

The only downside I can see is that New York is also a top fashion capital, too. So perhaps there can be a separate regular game pack being styled specifically for it reminiscent of StrangerVille or Forgotten Hollow. Especially, since there are many sections to NYC. I don't know. Either way, I brought this up because I was inspired by how well Snowy Day scenery turned out and Del Sol Ray which is based on LA. Though too bad they forgot the beaches for that pack. But, oh well.

note: Feel free to respond but any unrelated and negative or offensive comments will be reported. With all the craziness in the world right now, let's try to be positive here. Remember, It's just ideas. :)

I would love to see something like this (more European based things in general). I think Moschino stuff covered that kind of high end fashion feel to the sims but because it was just a stuff pack, I think there is a lot more the sims could do in this type of style.

What really caught my eye was your idea about chocolate candy making shops: there are so many luxury food shops like this in those European countries and I love that idea!

It would be nice to have another shopping based world in the sims like this.

Interesting idea, but probably of limited appeal. I doubt simmers in general care about fashion, at least to the extent such a pack would be economically viable.

To be honest, there are a lot of things I would prefer instead of a fashion pack.
Ooh Be Gah!! Whipna Choba-Dog? Whipna Choba-Dog!!

Exactly, there is a lot more to be explored!

I'd be more interested if it included some form of fashion making - perhaps a variant of what we can do with knitting. Watching sims walk down a runway isn't particularly my cup of tea.

A Classical European city would be an awesome world, though. That's a nice idea.

But if you are referring to some kind of Fashion Designer career (which would also be awesome), wouldn't you want to see your own fashion creations modeled on a runway? I think that would make it more interesting.

Fair point. I guess what I'm not interested in is my sim walking down a runway. But then, there's nothing that says I have to put my sim in the Model Career.

I see it as something that could be fun, but nothing I'd get excited about.

Thanks for the feedback. A lot of great ideas here. Cool if the Sims gurus would consider it or something like it, lol.

Might be nice if there would be fashion magazines, and you get your model to appear in magazines, billboards around town. You get to go to photo shoots, fashion shows and after parties, and maybe get some free nice designer clothes once in a while. And there are various kinds of models, some do just hand or feet commercials and some don't even get to do commercials, they just get you to try some free samples in a shop or pose nicely with cars at car shows.

I know a lot of people wouldnt want it but I'd be very happy with a fashion pack depending on how it's done, I'd love if it came with an Italian world more like Milan or maybe a more beach side Italian location and then it can be used as a vacation world aswell. We desperately need more non-american world's, there's absolutely nothing southern europe in game at the moment.

I like the Italian and Parisian worlds you describe, but personally I would not be interested in a fashion pack, unless it has a fashion maker tool of some kind that can be used on model sims. Otherwise GF, Moschino and the stylist career give me enough ability to play with fashion.

Modeling and runway careers? What kind of gameplay would it offer? Walk on a runway? Look pretty? Be of a certain weight? Have a high charisma level? The only challenging gameplay would be for the sim model not to slip on the runway in her shaky stilettos and fall flat on her face at level 1 or 2 of the career. At level 10 she’d be able to walk the runway without accidents.
Perhaps it’s like getting better at snowboarding...cause I don’t even know how these models manage to walk on those things, female or male. It’s a skill for sure...

Gameplay could be a lot like the Get Famous scenarios. You will need to sign up with an agency, attend auditions and then show up for work. Work could be like the scripted movie scenes, some days you walk the catwalk, some days you do a TV commercial, some days you do a photo shoot for a fashion magazine. You may be invited to fashion parties and occasionally be gifted (unlocked) fashionable clothes.

With an active career as fashion/runway model, it could definitely work. I’d buy it.

Would be such a great expansion or game pack idea. The creators could add an entertainment pack with your sims being able to get gigs at bars, lounges and many more. Dance studios made to work like doctor career would be epic. All these options with singing and modeling and fashion designer who can model their clothes and get orders. Obviously your photography career idea would blend epically!!
By adding to Snowy Escape and Island Living packs, loving rental option, adding hotels and resorts would be awesome option to either rent a holiday home, stay in a hotel or resort. Rent a suite or a room or 3 if the whole family is vacationing together. Maldives idea would be gorgeous and an epic water park or boardwalk for keeping busy and fun on vacation. Singers and dancers could perform in entertainment lounges in resorts or hotels and even dinning halls or restaurants. A step further with room service would be nicer than cooking while on vacation. Could expand on nanny service and have vacation option of taking nanny along or a form of child care at resort or hotel for additional cost and peace of mind from babies and toddlers for a few hours daily. A resort town like say Island living could do jet ski and boating rentals at the resorts. Day pass fees would be nice for sims who opt for home rentals but still want the fun aspects of resort or hotel entertainment.
Another stuff pack option is giving us simmers generations. We miss step parents and step siblings, also inlaw relations.

Right, a new modeling career, plus, fashion and photography careers could all meld together nicely. Also, thanks to the rental option, travel would be easier, too. Especially, since just like in real life, they travel all the time.

Well, I don't know. I think many would buy it because we kind of got cheated out of a possible modeling career with the GF pack and Mossimo addition that came with fashion magazines with models on the cover. But that was the extent of it.

I do agree with you we need more packs based on European cities and since fashion is really popular in both France and Italy. So I thought that would create a great opportunity to add that career field in. Also, since we already have vacation world capability, that would be redundant. But we could introduce more food options from Europe. Because we already have plenty of Asian and Spanish based food options, lol.

In the Sims mobile, they just strut on a glamourous runway. But I was thinking the main purpose would be to display your Sims Fashion designs. Not make it contest as to who wouldn't fall, LOL. I mean there could be points added to who struts the best, but I don't know how interesting that would be.

    I would like:
    Paris: Sculpting and Paris Pastries
Italy: Pizza Oven and Nectar Making/Vineyards
Ireland: The Gaelic Games and Clans with Tartans
England: Monarch Type Families and Castles

Thinking about this more... While I'd definitely get this for the world, I think a Fashion Designer career where you actually get to make fashions is probably a bit beyond even an expansion pack if they want to do it right. It would require dozens of locked clothing items in multiple colors (though it would be a time to introduce sliders for clothing) to the point where there would be almost nothing in terms of CAS otherwise.

Because to do a Fashion Designer right, you'd need to be able to frankenmesh on the fly (and even that's not quite right), and the game simply isn't capable of that. So they'd instead have to have a limited list of sleeve, bodice, and skirt options, and then every possible mesh combination already in the pack. And that's a number that will get very large very fast. Even if they were to separate out tops and bottoms and not actually have any full-body outfits (just tops and bottoms that looked like it.

    So probably not practical.

Now, none of this affects a model career, but as I've already said, that's not something that interests me. However, as long as the world looks cool, and it includes other Gameplay options (which it probably would) I'd probably still find the pack fun.

Not really to both. We already have an European style world and modeling was the most boring of all the get famous activities in TS1.

I'd rather have an African, Middle Eastern or Oceania style world and stuff like farming, freed babies, generations gameplay, horse riding and vehicles over modelling career.
    Happy simming!

I'd be all for a Paris or Italy themed world, but I wouldn't be all that interested in the fashion aspect. I wouldn't mind if there was a fashion event or festival of some sort (even like a "fashion week") that's optional to attend, but I wouldn't want an entire pack based around fashion.

I'd much prefer like a Romantic Getaway theme for a Paris themed world for example.

It isn't some thing that would interest me. Unless it came with a tool to dictate what townies can be generated in. If I could guarantee no more pear shaped male sims wearing some weird combo of items I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I wouldnt mind the fashion aspect but id much rather see a world destination from somewhere else.
The Sims has currently lost its identity. Bring it back for TS5

I wouldn't mind if EA makes this into a pack, but it would probably be better if it were open-world. Also, I'm not extremely interested in the fashion part of this idea. Honestly, idek how the gameplay part of the pack would look like :/. I'd think it would look more like Selvadorada where you can explore different parts and whatnot; EA may make tourism a part of a job, that would be kinda awesome!!!

To add, if this does become a pack, I feel that it may depend on other packs, such as Get Together and Dine out, to name a couple.
