Hi All - This is just a very short chapter before the next chapter, which will be Sakura's last date with Prince Oberon. Have a great day everyone!
March 8 -Sakura: Something Is Missing
When Sakura arrived home from her date, she was too sad and tired to even think about anything, So she just headed to bed. In the morning, she awoke and didn't feel much better. She wished there was someone she could talk to about this, but there wasn't anyone. She felt so alone.
Last night had nearly been a disaster date when she had tried to talk about Titania to Prince Oberon to convince him that Titania was the one for him. But that had backfired. And then trying to put the flirty potion in Prince Oberon's drink, well, that didn't work either. The only thing that saved that date was Sakura serenading him on the piano, and in reality, she hadn't even been thinking about him when she had played that piece. Yet the serenade had worked, but perhaps it had worked too well.
Her plans of winning this quest was that she could then convince Prince Oberon to let her return to her world, once he realized that he was really in love with Titania. But that wasn't going to happen. She knew that now. She had been delusional to think he would ever let her go.
Sakura knew, that under other circumstances, Prince Oberon really was the perfect catch. He was very attractive, and a true gentleman. He was polite and always complimented Sakura, doted on her in fact, and was always caring and considerate. Life with him would certainly be wonderful. But there was just one problem...Sakura wasn't in love with him. Her heart belonged to another, in fact her heart belonged to two others, which had caused this whole problem to begin with. And maybe Prince Oberon didn't know any of this. Perhaps if she was truthful with him and told him everything, then maybe he would understand. Or maybe not, but Sakura felt this was her last chance.
Sakura picked up the phone and spoke to Prince Oberon, and asked him if he would like to go on a dinner date with her tomorrow night. Of course he agreed and said that he would be sending her something later today, and he would be honored if she wore it on her date tomorrow. She said that she would.
Sakura decided to be constructive instead of sitting around moping about her impending future and decided to read a few gourmet cooking articles on the computer. As she entered the living room, she noticed that something was missing. "Oh my gosh!" she thought, "The flirty potion was gone!"
@permanentrose - Ooh, that group shot for uni of the challengers is so good. I love the outfit that you picked out for Sakura, and might even use it for when she attends. What a great photo. But I guess Jules isn't in there because she's not part of the house, so I guess we'll see what she's going to be wearing shortly.
Jess came over once again. We were watching a movie together while Naoki was making dinner.
(Jess) “Have you thought about it yet?”
(Bryon) “What?”
(Jess) “You forgot already?? University, of course.”
(Bryon) “Shhhh, not so hard. I... Didn’t got the chance yet to talk about it with Naoki... Or mom...”
I tried to say it as silent as possible, but Naoki still heard me.
(Naoki) “You didn’t have the chance yet to talk with me and Randi about what?”
Jess jumped to Naoki in the kitchen.
(Jess) “I am trying to convince Bryon to apply for university, but he won’t budge.”
(Naoki) “Why? Bryon, you should totally go to university. It suits you.”
(Bryon) “But you are already trying to find a job… And mom is always home, taking care for the house.. And Kristine… I should earn money too. I can’t afford studying.”
And while I was complaining, mom also decided to join in on the conversation.
(Randi) “I can afford your studies without a problem.”
(Bryon) “Huh?”
(Randi) “Years and years ago, back when I gave birth to you, I opened a bank account to save money, so that my kids would be able to go to university. I was always thinking far ahead, you could say. I just kept saving money for all these years. I have enough for you and Johnny, but well, Johnny isn’t going to use the money, so…”
(Bryon) “I couldn’t possibly take that, mom...”
(Randi) “But part of it belongs to you. I saved it… For you…”
Ah.. Mom... Don’t make that face...
(Randi) “You should do something for you. Something you like.”
(Jess) “Your mom’s right.”
(Naoki) “I was just going to say that too!”
(Roo) “Meow”
Argh. I can’t argue with these people.
(Bryon) “Would you be happy if I went to university?”
(Randi) “Very happy.”
And so, before I knew it... I sat behind the computer and applied to universities.
(Bryon) “I'm done."
(Jess) “See? Wasn’t that fun?!”
A smile appeared on my face.
(Bryon) “Yeah, it actually was.”
- Later that day -
(Bryon) “Hey, Naoki. What do you think about moving our house to Britechester?”
(Naoki) “Oh! That’s a great idea!! We should totally do that! Ohhh, my traveler-instinct is tickling me once again.”
(Bryon) “You know our house isn’t on wheels anymore, right?”
(Naoki) “Oh."
(Naoki) "Heheheh. Of course I knew that. We have to poof there with your Spellcaster-abilities!”
(Bryon) "You know what? I'll poof the house to Britechester, and then I'll come back to travel with you. I know you're missing it."
(Naoki) "... Really?"
(Bryon) "Really."
(Randi, in the background) "Kristine and I don't have to walk with you, right?"
(Bryon) "Hehe, no. You don't have to if you don't want. I can just drop you off in Britechester too."
And just like that, we walk into the next month. Britechester, here we come!
I'm taking a break from building from scratch this month too since I already have a house from the gallery I downloaded where Sofia and Dell are living. Jules will move in with them for now while I figure out what to do with her this month haha. There are not a lot of lots in Britechester either, such a bummer I've already evicted the Pleasant sisters and Elderberry family to make more space for sims I already have in my game haha
Anyway, that gallery house is super cute! Excited to see what you do with it - or if you ultimately build from scratch.
Ah, yes, the Blue Velvet - a good choice for date number 2, since it really is the best venue in Willow Creek! Also poor Sakura with Oberon making comments about being intimate and she hasn't even messed around yet, haha. And I love that she played the piano for him, after worrying that the date wasn't going well. That was the perfect plan - Sakura's piano playing has really tied in well to so many of her storylines and I love that it's one of her hobbies that is really so defining to her as a character. And my heart hurts for poor Sakura - she has to do well to win the quests, but she hardly wants to win the win the quests. How will she ever get out of this mess?
And oh no! The flirty potion is gone...but I have a feeling Sakura will be able to seduce Prince Oberon easily, even without it. Unless you have another plan brewing...
Also thanks for the comment about the Dine Out action. Dine Out and Spa Day are two packs I haven't bought yet, not sure if I eventually will or not. And I really liked Sakura in those colors I picked for her uni outfit too, feel free to use it in your game too! Jules didn't get a uni specific makeover, actually, but I did go in and update some of her outfit categories so she should be wearing some different outfits every so often in my updates this coming month
Glad to see you back! You should just post in whatever way is easiest and most enjoyable for you, whether you catch up or not. When I get busy, I find that I'll take a lot of screen shots from a short amount of gameplay, and then spread them out over several updates so I don't necessarily end up spending a lot of time playing my game daily. It just really depends. Just a suggestion if you feel like it's hard to play a lot daily.

I teared up a little when I officially wrote my Lydia/Jules break up too. I wasn't expecting to, since I always planned to have them go their separate ways, but it was actually a bit more emotional and sad than I expected it to be. And I think maybe the aspiration got some updates in some recent patches? That's the only reason I can think that I was able to finish it a lot easier. There were a few parts that were a little buggy at times, and I had to switch between snowboarding and skiing to get dings, even though I should have been able to do it with just one, but in the end, it wasn't as hard to finish as I thought it might be.
I'm glad you are enjoying Ruby in my game. I can't help but to take a ton of screenshots of her, so I'm sure she'll be making daily appearances. Although, I might have Jules live in a dorm for a bit, but she'd still visit Ruby a lot even if I were to move her out for a bit.
Nice updates with Jenny. I like that she's kept up her friendships with Megumi and Morgan too. And I have gotten cowplants in very random ways, haha. I think Jules fished hers up. Grafting is just one way to do it.
Essa and Nikolas Jr. make beautiful kids! It's so fun to see kids age up in your game. I enjoyed seeing all the antics our sims were up to in your game as usual
Cutest family pic ever. I love how they've made an unconventional little family for themselves, and it all works. I was surprised at first when you told me Gabbie and Isaius would be getting together, but it makes sense that Isaius would fall for another teen and need someone his own age. It would have been weird for him to get back with Randi haha. So now Randi is just in super mom mode, with three teen boys and little Kristine, who is adorable by the way. You found great hair for her.
So next update - I love how Bryon was hesitant to apply to uni since he was worried about money (so realistic haha), but then Randi, so sweet, has been saving up money just for that. I love it, and it's a great way to get the uni story going! So did you age Bryon up so he could officially apply? Wasn't sure since you didn't mention it specifically but did mention you might age him up a day early

The next night, Sakura prepared for her date with Prince Oberon and put on the dress that he had sent her yesterday. It was the most beautiful dress she had ever seen and it made her feel...like a Princess.
They arrived at the restaurant, and Prince Oberon looked quite handsome in the outfit he had on.
Prince Oberon smiled at Sakura and had an intake of breath: "My blossom, when I chose that gown for you to wear I never dreamed you would look so...enchanting."
Sakura: "Thank you, Prince Oberon, and you look rather dashing yourself."
Prince Oberon: "So, you are taking me to dinner?"
Sakura: "Yes, Prince Oberon, but our table is in a special room. Very private. Just the two of us."
Prince Oberon: "Oh? Really? And will you be tasting all my food?
Sakura: "It will be my pleasure, Prince Oberon."
Prince Oberon smiled and handed Sakura a rose, ""This is for you, my blossom, although its beauty pales in comparison to yours."
Sakura smiled and smelled the rose: "I look forward to spending our last date together, Prince Oberon."
Prince Oberon: "As do I, Sakura, and I believe the evening is already memorable," he said, as he held out his arm to her, "May I escort you to dinner?"

They were seated in the room that Sakura had reserved and Prince Oberon looked around.
Sakura: "I hope you like it. They normally use this room for banquets, but I requested just one table and two chairs be placed in here. There is a beautiful fountain and a fireplace, and if you look up, the roof is made of glass, so we'll be dining under the stars."
Prince Oberon: "My blossom, this is perfect. And since my 21st birthday is in just a few days' time, I was wondering if you would care for something a little stronger than fruity fizzy juice. Perhaps a glass of nectar?"
Sakura: "Hmmm...that sounds good." [autonomous blow a kiss by Prince Oberon]
As they enjoyed their dinner, they chatted, and had several more glasses of nectar.
Prince Oberon: "My blossom, I have some rather unsettling news. This date was supposed to be the last date, but Titania changed her mind, and I will be going on a date with her tomorrow."
Sakura was a bit surprised and wondered why Titania had changed one of her dates "That is fine, but I do hope that this date will be memorable for you."
Prince Oberon: "More than you know, Sakura. In fact, I have spoken to the Council of Fae, and I have a surprise for you..."
Sakura: "Oh? What kind of surprise?" she asked, feeling suddenly nervous.
Prince Oberon: "I have asked permission for the final quest to take place once these dates are done. I wanted to end it all after these dates, but the Council insisted that the challengers must take the final quest."
Sakura: "...and...and what is the final quest, Prince Oberon?"
Prince Oberon: "It is a quest of true love, my blossom, given by the Fairy Godmother. And the way our date has gone this evening, I know that you will win this quest and be the Rightful Queen..."
Sakura took a sip of her nectar, "Prince Oberon, I agree that our date has been nothing short of a dream, but I need to tell you something..."
Prince Oberon looked intently at her, "What is wrong, my blossom? I thought this would make you happy, but you look troubled..."
Sakura took a deep breath: "Prince Oberon, when your sisters saw me in the garden watering the plants with my tears, I was crying because of some emotions I was feeling about two sims that I cared about. You see, I had a boyfriend who was away at a training camp, who hadn't written to me in a month, and I saw a special report on him with another girl, and because I hadn't heard from him, I didn't know if the report was true or not, and whether he still cared for me. That was one part. But the other part was that I had kissed someone, and they had kissed me back, and I had such feelings for them when it happened, and I was feeling guilty about how I was feeling towards them. So, I was very torn in my emotions over both of them and I felt confused, and I felt I had betrayed my boyfriend by kissing this other sim. And, I didn't know what to do...because I felt I was in love with both of them..."
Prince Oberon looked at Sakura and pursed his lips, "I see. And this boyfriend of yours...has he told you he loves you? Cares for you? Would do anything for you?"
Sakura shook her head, "No, he's never told me that he loves me..."
Prince Oberon: "And the other one, the one who kissed you and you have feelings for...has he told you he loves you? Cares for you? Would do anything for you?"
Sakura shook her head, "No, he has not told me he loves me either. But only because he knows I felt ashamed for having kissed him. But he told me he had feelings for me, but felt it was better to remain my friend, until I had a chance to speak with my boyfriend about that special report I had seen, and find out if it was false or not. And to this day, I still don't know the answer to that."
Prince Oberon: "You are very loyal and have great integrity, Sakura, and I see where this has put you in a dilemma. So, you care for both of them, even though they have not expressed their love for you?"
Sakura: "Yes."
Prince Oberon: "My dear Sakura, what heartache you have borne, but I must tell you that these two...they are both fools. They both had their chance with you. They had you close to them and did not tell you their love for you, and made your heart heavy with sadness. They did not realize they were holding something so fragile and beautiful within their grasp. And now you have gone from that world, and they will never have a chance to tell you what they may have wanted to say. But Sakura, why did you tell me this?"
Sakura: "I am sorry, Prince Oberon, but I do not think I will pass the final quest of true love. You have been nothing but kind and caring towards me and I have never been romanced like this before, but my heart...my heart belongs to someone else...to two sims in fact..."
Prince Oberon remained silent for a moment: "I do understand Sakura. This explains a lot and I now know why you have guarded your heart with me. My sisters did not tell me that you were otherwise involved with someone. They only told me you were very sad and cried often in the garden. When I saw you for the first time, I only wanted to fill your life with happiness"
Sakura: "Prince Oberon, if you truly want to make me happy, then you will return me to my world."
Prince Oberon: "My precious blossom, more than anything I want to make you happy, but I'm afraid that returning you to your world is not possible."
Sakura had tears in her eyes: "Why not, I do not understand..."
Prince Oberon: "Because, Sakura, I have already asked the Council of Fae to grant me permission for your hand in marriage..."
Sakura: :"But..but the quest...the dates...they're not over...and you told me that Titania has one more date with you...how can they...?"
Prince Oberon: "I told the Council that I had already made my decision, and that it was you who I wanted above all others. And as is tradition, I want to promise myself to you, and give you a symbol of that promise. The ones you cared about, those mortals...they could not speak the words that you so wanted to hear, but I can. Sakura, from the moment I saw you, I fell in love with you, and I will make it my life's mission to make you happy and treat you like the Queen that you are. This I promise you," he said as he took a ring from his pocket.
Sakura started to cry, "Oh Prince Oberon, I can't...I can't do this...please...please don't. Wouldn't you be happier with someone who loved you like you loved them? I know you don't want me to say her name...but it is Titania who loves you...the true love quest will prove it...you will see that I am telling the truth...and you, yourself told me you had deep feelings for her...so, please...please wait until the true love quest..."
Prince Oberon held the ring in his hand, "I am very patient, my blossom and my love for you is great, and I know that in time, you will open your heart fully to me and love me, too. But I see that this has caused great turmoil for you, so as is your wish, I will wait for the results of the final quest of true love. But I am certain you will win. Titania has already forfeited the first quest, which you won, and you will win the second quest as well. So, even if you lose the true love quest, it will be tied, and I have the final decision on who I want to be my bride. And I have already chosen you. So Sakura, when you do win the final quest, I want you to promise me that you will give all your love to me, and only me. Do you agree?"
Sakura wiped her eyes: "If I am the winner of the final quest, then, yes, I will come to you and love you with all of my heart, and only you. This I promise. But if you change your mind and want Titania as your bride, if I do not win the final quest, would you then consider my request and return me to my world and have no harm come to my offspring?"
Prince Oberon: "Yes, I will consider your request. I promise. Now, come to me, my blossom, and let us seal this bargain with a kiss..."
Sakura went to Prince Oberon who took her in his arms and kissed her passionately. Sakura felt herself float in his arms, heady from the nectar she had drunk.
When they parted, Prince Oberon spoke, "Sakura, it would be easy for me to put you under my spell and make you mine tonight, but I made a promise that I would not use magic on you. And like yourself, I keep my promises. And I know that you are trying to deny that you have feelings for me, but when we kissed, I could feel your heart opening to me. Just know this, Sakura, I will take care of you and love you. Forever and always."
And with that Prince Oberon took Sakura in his arms once again and kissed her longingly and held her close to him.

But what of her future...is she destined to be with Prince Oberon? Prince Oberon is certainly in love with Sakura.

Trying to catch up. I gotta admit I had something weighing me down also .. that seemed to have resolved itself better so I'm going to try to get on track again! With a little stretching of time in game anyway.
The crew headed out to the Spice Festival to get some time away from studying. As soon as Archie landed Nancy tried to beat him up due to his curse.. didn't get a shot of that because it was too dark and all the townies are in close. Later though Clara took exception to his presence and let him have it. He did win both fights though. Maybe it was time to get what was coming to him?
March 29
I decided to have Nester visit and set up for the Flower Bunny to visit. I keep missing it every year and I want Roxanne to know the Flower Bunny. So I moved him in (for a short time) and he had some Daddy time the night before. The toddlers are so cute in the game.
I decided to remodel the house I found on the Gallery by @AIRIS6962 called Serenade found here if you want to check it out for comparison purposes. It's a great build on it's own, but I wanted to customize it for Essa and Josh. Screenshots of the build/remodel are under the Notes spoiler. I took them in Manage Worlds build mode because it's Fall in Britechester so all the foliage would've been brown or dead looking otherwise.
The house I started building just wasn't turning out like I had hoped. I had bulldozed the student housing lot in Foxbury to use since it's a 30x20 size and much more room. Oh well... *shrugs* I bulldozed it and there's no screenshots, I deleted them. Trust me, it was awful. o.O
After I finished doing that, I aged up all the challenge Sims, Eight is Enough club members and children/teens in Mt. Komorebi. Most of them didn't need many changes other than added a new trait. I also changed their aspirations to the DU one in hopes they'd show up as classmates for Essa. Essa has moved now, but I haven't aged her up yet, I'm waiting until after Midnight to do that. Josh has moved in as well. I have not played with them since the move though, again waiting until after Midnight. I mostly moved her so I could put all her photos, collections, books, etc. in the build before taking screenshots. So excited for this! It's been a long, long time coming!

Basement - the original build didn't have a basement, but I needed somewhere to put Essa's cauldron, Magic artifacts, potions, etc. Plus, her precious garden is down there too. Notice how some of the plants reverted to dirt clumps? *sigh* I cheated them back to a blossoming state.
One of the changes I made to the exterior/landscaping was to extend the pool. There was a hot tub right next to it.
I got rid of the basketball hoop and made an area for a new hot tub.

Yes quick follow up but seems weird to put them all in one post. So it was Springfest! I took a bunch of pictures on this day ... How can you not take pictures of toddlers? It was a very cold, rainy and dark day (boo). So even though there was an Easter egg hunt outside too I decided not to put in those pictures. I'm not even sure if they got all the eggs types although they got a lot.. but I had everyone in the house hunt until they had a good holiday but of course focused on Nester! They all made very good friends with the Flower Bunny except for Wolfgang who doesn't make friends easy yet still. Lol I don't know what's under the Bunny costume but Archie even got a few flirts in with them! The daily shot has poor Nester's feet going kind of wonky but I loved the look on his face.

Just a wrap up shot .. the next day was actually clear of course! No real story yet is coming to mind about Roxanne leaving. I'm pretty sure I'm moving her out alone though. I think I'll do better with just a single sim again for awhile. Besides she'll be a young adult. So farewell to Glimmerbrook!
I know, I know so many posts but I wanna be all caught up! @Karababy52 Such a beautiful little house. Your screenshots are always so bright and cheerful too. I might have to figure out something for making my in game look better. The weather always makes it look muddy to me.

@Hermitgirl I'm about to go to sleep but just wanted to reply one thing from your comment - I will not be controlling all my new YAs haha. I simply cheated to enroll them all in college so I could put them in university housing and have them around for storytelling purposes. TBH, I don't really know how this pack works, so I hope it just leaves them all in their dorms, even after their semesters technically end. I'll probably cheat to give them their official degrees at some point too
Thank you! I love all that too! It's been fun writing about Essa's relationship with them, and what each of them mean to her. I'll miss seeing them everyday, but since they're family, she'll go back to visit often, and I imagine they'll visit her too.
Yay! Jenny will be a Spellcaster! You're going to have so much fun there. I love Glimmerbrook, it's such a beautiful world and the Magic Realm, of course. I hope you have a lot of fun with it.
Day 22 - Yay! So happy Jenny found a cowplant berry at the Spice Festival. Yes, this is normal. My Sims always get them at Festivals, usually the Spice Festival, but sometimes the Romance Festival as well.
I love building, but ran out of time to do it for April. However, I did renovate it a lot so at least I still did a little building. Seeing more of Essa, hmm, well that sounds great! Can't wait to see what makes her appear more now.
Day 23 - So nice of Megumi and Morgan to stop by to say farewell. Well, until Megumi stole the Vampirica encyclopedia! Tsk, how dare she!? So excited to see Jenny's new house and her experience in Uni! I think everyone will be having tons of fun this month. I hope so anyway.
Update 88 - Ruby is adorable! I love all her little outfits! The screenshot of her hugging Lenny is so sweet! Ah, so Jules will be living with Dell and Sofia while attending Uni, that's cool. Built in sitters for Ruby for one thing. Do you know yet what will be her major?
Aww, I'm sorry! I don't know why I always have this mentality that everyone has all the packs. I hope you get it one day and can experience it for yourself, it's very fun pack!
I figured they'd break up on a higher note than not since I'm guessing we'll be seeing her again in Forgotten Hollow. It'll be a nice (hopefully) reunion for them then.
I wanted some way to explain why she'd want to go to Uni considering she's loaded and is a powerful Spellcaster. So making it an idea she's dreamed of since a child seemed like a good excuse.
The issue with Damon is on a backburner for a little while, but yes, it's not over, he'll appear in her life again.

Update 89 - Aww, Ruby is so cute getting a selfie with Yamachan! Love her little purple/pink snowsuit! Sweet hugs from Mom and a sled ride! Glad they didn't crash. o.O So cute playing in the water too! I did somewhat the same with all the teens in my game. I aged them up, but I didn't set them up in dorms or anything. I'm hoping the game will do that. If not, oh well. Essa won't be living in the dorms anyway.
Since I'm using my 'No Premades' custom save template, the Elderberrys and Pleasant sisters were never a part of Essa's world and those lots are empty too. Really the only open lots in Britechester are all 20x15, which is tiny. But I love tiny, comfy houses usually anyway. I was going to use the lot in Foxbury that had the student housing on it, it's 30x20. But I didn't like the build I made, so ended up with the Gallery find. It's a cute house. Obviously if you read my post for today you know I ended up using the Gallery house and renovated it.
Fun idea going to a Nightclub for their 2nd date. I love how Prince Oberon is always autonomously kissing Sakura. Oh dear, why does he keep going behind the bar and foiling her plans. Well it seems the potion wasn't needed as a result of drinking so much, he's feeling frisky and so is she! Great idea she had to serenade him on the piano! I didn't know Sims could do that on a piano, good to know! Aww, he is really in love with her eh? Poor Sakura. So sad to see her cry like that thinking about never seeing her friends, Kyoshi or Wolfgang again. Congrats to her though for earning Gold on the date and Line Learner promotion for Drama club.
I was just testing the Infatuate spell to see what it would do, if it would be something she could cast on Damon, but it ended up making for some really sweet screenshots. I also read that the spell can actually increase both Sims involved romance bar! If I use it enough on them, maybe they really will be a couple! I would love that! Essa has beat Astrid twice now, but they're friends, so it's cool.
Loved those screenshots with all the Sages! I just wish all the townie Spellcasters would've stayed out of the kitchen while they were talking! One guy actually stood behind Morgyn eavesdropping through a majority of it. Thankfully Morgyn's Sage icon blocked most of him. I'll miss the Sages too, but they're family so she'll be seeing them again for holidays and such. I figured I'd make her Glimmerbrook house a rental and they can stay there when visiting. I'm glad you're liking the pack now from watching all of us play with it. Perhaps you can get it yourself in the future. It's really a very fun pack! Plus Glimmerbrook and the Magic Realm are gorgeous! I don't want to say much about the issue with Essa and Damon and spoil anything. But Essa will definitely be seeing him again befor Forgotten Hollow and there as well.
Yes, Essa will stay a Spellcaster. At least for awhile, probably until she moves to Forgotten Hollow and becomes a Vampire. Maybe sooner, I haven't decided yet.
Uh, oh, I wonder who stole the flirty potion. o.O Congrats to her for getting promoted in Drama club to Practical Performer. I had no idea the Drama club was a 'job' like Scouts. That's another thing I've never tried as of yet.
Sakura and Prince Oberon look great in their formal attire. I've never liked that dress, but it looks fabulous on Sakura. What a beautiful setting for a romantic date. What's the painting with the rainbow? I don't think I've ever seen it in the game. Wow, he's really pushing this - "...has he told you he loves you? Cares for you? Would do anything for you?" He is so in love with her, he's not taking any excuses on her part seriously, he wants her and that's that. o.O
*gasp* Uh oh, he REALLY wants her and has decided already to make it official. GAH! He's got a ring, asking her to marry him already. Oh no, oh no, oh no! Run Sakura! Oh my, two passionate kisses... you know, I guess it won't be TOO bad if she ends up with him. Though I know she won't, it wouldn't be the end of the world. The guy is obviously completely in love with her, he's honest, fair and freakin' GORGEOUS!
Congrats to Sakura for completing the Serial Romantic aspiration! Smitten and Deeply in Love...Oh I so, so, SO hope that Josh and Essa get those sentiments for each other! Ah so Roxanne will go for a Creative degree in Fine Arts I'm assuming and Archie Rocket Science. So funny how differently we play. You want as many curses as you can get for Archie, I have Essa use a curse cleansing spell immediately when she gets any. Weird glitch with the vacuums. I think the carrying books thing was from the trait update. I've read how Simmers have been seeing townies walking around holding books in neighborhoods too.
Muwhahaha! She cast Strangify on Nanami and got sick as a result! Well darn, too bad Megumi didn't die in the fire. Did the firemen/women dance for her?
I had so much fun casting spells on Damon and Infatuate on the Sages too. Yes, for the foreseeable future, Essa's life is very bright indeed!

March 29 - Aww, Nestor is so darn cute! I love toddlers in this game. I can't wait to see what Josh and Essa's child(ren) will look like. Never did Flower Day in my game or Sprinfest, whatever it's called. I'm a little freaked out with the Flower Bunny. o.O It's creepy how it doesn't have a mouth.
March 30 - Looks like Nestor likes the Flower Bunny though, very cute. Is it weird that what you call cute looks like the Flower Bunny is about ready to eat Nestor to me? LOL Although I don't know how it would accomplish that since it doesn't have a mouth. So, will Roxanne be living in a dorm then? Just curious since you said you'll be playing with her in Britechester alone.

March 31 - Opps! Naoki overheard. Oh well. Very smart of Randi saving money for her childrens' education. Tsk, Bryon take the money, sheesh Randi's face... knew he'd cave but still fun reading 'how' he caved. Yay! They're going to have their same house again, that's fabulous! I thought about doing that for Essa since I absolutely LOVE her Glimmerbrook house. But it would stick out like a sore thumb there. Weeee, another challenge Sim on their way to Uni!
March 29 - Oh no! Pumpkin sick? Well that's not good. Looks like they got her all fixed up though. Conehead! Garden is raking in the simoleans now eh?
March 30 - LOL "Is water wet?" Love the random calls Sims get now since EL. YAY! Your little family is back together all in the same nest! So happy Duane moved in with them.
March 31 - She bought a store! Go Astrid! The look on Catastrophy's face is priceless about not scratching the furniture. "Okay, if I have to, I guess." Not happy about it eh? I knew she'd turn in the badge. Good job Astrid! Aww, so cute seeing Penelope play with the toy, hugging it. Poor Astrid, she's exhausted. It's no wonder with all she has to do lately. Hopefully having Duane back in her life will help.

With everything unpacked, Jenny could let herself relax and also be exhausted.
The move from Evergreen Harbor hadn’t been easy. She’d loved her little garden-friendly house, and the neighbourhood she lived in. She liked how sunny it was, how friendly the neighbours were, and how often she’d been able to have her friends over.
But when Megumi had approached her about this cabin, she’d been swayed. A bigger space, more greenery, a little more wild. She’d agreed to at least visit it, and then she’d fallen in love. A friend of Megumi’s was selling it on, and Jenny knew that properties in Evergreen came and went all the time. It had an infamously big green community, and people were always desperate to move in, so she knew she could sell quickly.
Rohan hadn’t been so wild about her moving, of course. He thought she could move back to Mt Komorebi, move into one of the little houses around there, so he could flit between her place and Britechester more easily. After all, she got along so well with Megumi, surely it would be better for her?
She’d refused. Most of the houses that were available were too small for her liking, and the ones that weren’t too small were far too expensive. He’d asked what was so wrong with a small place, given that it really only had to accommodate her.
She groaned as she thought back on that, and tried to focus on the present. Rohan could be so dense sometimes. It wasn’t like they were still kids, after all. They’d graduated high school, and Jenny had decided against university for now and instead decided to focus her energy into moving to Glimmerbrook Watch. Rohan was still, as he ever was, living with his grandparents and now his sister, who had asked to come live with them to scope out the universities properly.
She’d very much wanted Rohan to come live with her, if she was honest about it. She’d imagined that if where she lived was big enough, he might want to. But for the time being, it didn’t seem like the thought had even crossed his mind, and it was starting to get to Jenny.
Didn’t Rohan want to move in with her? He’d always had a small complaint or two about how his grandparents treated him like a child, and yet when she’d been ready to move, all he could see it as was something she was doing. She wished that he’d been ready to move, or had even suggested it, but she now had a double bed, which she already knew she’d be spending a chunk of her nights alone in. It was frustrating, and more so because she loved him. They just...weren't the teenagers they'd been. That was all. But it seemed like she was the only one who saw that.
She’d confided in Morgan, and Morgan had told her that she should either bring it up with Rohan or, if it really was too much, dump him. The words had been like ice, and Jenny had started to nervously look at all the aspects of her relationship. Rohan tended to invite her out to events, but their dating style did not really seem to have grown up with them. She knew everyone else in their circles was starting to move in together, with some even having babies together, something that had shocked her the first couple of times it happened. For instance, Siobhan, who was at least older than her, had gotten married in a big, fancy wedding. Jenny had gone alone, because Rohan didn’t like the idea of going to the wedding of someone he didn’t get along well with. It had been a lovely event, and Jenny at least had gotten to hang out with Morgan, a reluctant bridesmaid.
But everyone seemed to be moving in and following the natural path for couples, but Rohan seemed to want them to stay in one place. At this rate, Jenny knew she would be the one to have to bring up the idea of their future and whether they even had one that he wanted as much as she did.

Okay, I'm not great at houses, but I'm kind of proud of this one! This is Jenny's house!
As you can see, it has a LOT of space compared to our last lot, and I am really excited to fill it up with things. I've got a lot of fun storylines coming, from Heather to heartbreak to happiness. Also, a better look at the walls:
I decided to remodel the house I found on the Gallery by @AIRIS6962 called Serenade found here if you want to check it out for comparison purposes. It's a great build on it's own, but I wanted to customize it for Essa and Josh. Screenshots of the build/remodel are under the Notes spoiler. I took them in Manage Worlds build mode because it's Fall in Britechester so all the foliage would've been brown or dead looking otherwise.
The house I started building just wasn't turning our like I had hoped. I had bulldozed the student housing lot in Foxbury to use since it's a 30x20 size and much more room. Oh well... *shrugs* I bulldozed it and there's no screenshots, I deleted them. Trust me, it was awful. o.O
After I finished doing that, I aged up all the challenge Sims, Eight is Enough club members and children/teens in Mt. Komorebi. Most of them didn't need many changes other than added a new trait. I also changed their aspirations to the DU one in hopes they'd show up as classmates for Essa. Essa has moved now, but I haven't aged her up yet, I'm waiting until after Midnight to do that. Josh has moved in as well. I have not played with them since the move though, again waiting until after Midnight. I mostly moved her so I could put all her photos, collections, books, etc. in the build before taking screenshots. So excited for this! It's been a long, long time coming!

Basement - the original build didn't have a basement, but I needed somewhere to put Essa's cauldron, Magic artifacts, potions, etc. Plus, her precious garden is down there too. Notice how some of the plants reverted to dirt clumps? *sigh* I cheated them back to a blossoming state.
One of the changes I made to the exterior/landscaping was to extend the pool. There was a hot tub right next to it.
I got rid of the basketball hoop and made an area for a new hot tub.

I made 'Serenade' for a request and I buildt it in that lot in Britechester.
It was a challenge itself because my requester wanted a tiny home with 2 beds and 2 baths for a couple with a cat and a dog. They were studing at the Uni and wanted to have children. Pool, jacuzzi, etc.

That house was an experiment to me, because I made a tiny house that tecnically it is not LOL ( Builders´tricks )
And so it was time for Jules to pack up her life in Mt. Komorebi and head to Britechester with Ruby. Dell had already moved back home with Lenny and had gotten the house ready for Ruby and Jules.
Dell also made Jules a birthday cake, as she was due to move in on her birthday I decided to have her make the matcha tea cake just because it seemed more interesting than chocolate or vanilla, since I've made those ones quite a bit before.
Dell had planned a small birthday party for Jules that afternoon. In the meantime though, Jules started unpacking their things, and Ruby was delighted to find her friend Lenny.
After a bit, Jules decided to take Ruby outside to play before the party. Sofia told her there was a toddler playground close by, so they headed there. (Ruby was getting really sad because she was hot, hence the outfit change. I probably don't have to explain Ruby's outfit changes though. Anyone who has spent a lot of time with toddlers before knows it's quite normal to go through several outfits a day, LOL)
There was a little boy playing at the playground already, and Ruby eagerly joined him.
His father was close by as well, and Jules introduced herself. His name was Oliver Johnson, and he and his wife lived nearby with their toddler son, Theo. He was a stay at home dad, and his wife, Sonia, was the Director of Academics at Britechester University.
They talked for a bit, and it looks like Jules was excited to finally have someone to relate to over the craziness of parenting a toddler.
"Looks like we'll have to plan a playdate soon," Oliver laughed as Ruby pulled Theo into a hug.
Then it was time to head back to the house for Jules' birthday party. (Not a very eventful event, haha, I only snagged a few photos. Aside from the household members, Bex was the only other guest)
And yes, of course Lenny got a piece too
Then it was bedtime for this little lady. She had a lot of exciting thoughts about her busy day to babble about before snuggling under the covers.
Jules sat on the edge of Ruby's bed for a bit, even after she had fallen asleep, thinking about how much she loved her daughter, and just how lucky she was how everything in her life was falling into place.

So Jules aged up with the following character value traits - good manners, responsible, compassionate, and emotional control. Her conflict resolution bar was a bit in the red upon aging up though. I blame her hot-headed trait and all those fights she had with Mario and Brittany lol.
I honestly didn't know what trait to give Jules upon aging up. I had been mulling over this for a while actually, trying to think about what Jules' personality truly is. Since she's plowing through so many aspirations and skills, it's hard to decide what her hobbies actually are since she has basically done/will do them all, and that makes it harder to determine her core personality at times too. I looked through the traits again upon aging her up and really considered them, trying to pick the one best for Jules, and the one I picked will end up being quite useless, but I feel like it truly does suit her - dog lover
So I'm pretty sure I already posted a picture of Dell and Sofia's house in an update a while ago, but I'll share it again in today's update since it's been a bit.
I downloaded this house form the gallery and edited the inside quite a bit. Here's the original though so I can give credit to the builder! It's a gorgeous build.

@AIRIS6962 Thank you for commenting about my remodel of your fabulous build! I remembered your builds from The Retail Store Challenge. I had a Sim named Grant Forest who owned an outdoors/camping equipment store.
I know about builders' tricks used on tiny homes since I love to build too. It made the lighting a little off though, so I made a few rooms actual rooms, but no biggie. Thanks too for including a link to your imgur slideshow. I've seen it, but I highly recommend others check it out.
I have screenshots for today's post, but they need sorting/story added and I need to get some sleep as well. I'll post and comment later this afternoon. BTW, I uh, accidentally hit 'try for baby' during Essa and Josh's reunion, so....yeah. o.O Opps!

@Karababy52 Omg, I guess that’s one way to have a surprise baby in a vanilla game lol. I feel like try for a baby almost always results in a pregnancy so I’m guessing that Josh and Essa will have a little addition to the family very soon

@Karababy52 - Just to answer a few questions: The rainbow picture called Paradise Falls, is from The Positivity Challenge - Tier 4. There is writing on the bottom of it, and that is why I put the flowers down below, to kind of hide the writing. I thought it was nice. I was going for a nature look for that room, to remind Prince Oberon of Sylvan Falls with the waterfall.
And, no, in all my gameplay, I have never had that 'Deeply Loved' sentiment before. But then most of the sentiments that any of my sims get, seem to go away over time, which is kind of too bad.
I had never done the interaction "Exchange Promise Rings" which only teens can do, and that is how it is. Instead of going down on one knee, like the propose interaction, they just take a ring out of their pocket. I only did this interaction for photo purposes and didn't save the game after it was done.
Also, "try for baby" lol - okay that is your subconscious thinking of what you really want Josh and Essa to do! lol
@permanentrose - Thanks for asking about the other trait when they age up to YA. Being the slowpoke of the group and still working on Sakura's epic saga (lol) for March, Sakura won't age up until probably Sunday.
Finding out hurt River deeply. Confused and angry, there was nothing else he could do other than cry for his dead mother, for something that happened before he was born, cry and rage like what his father must have left when it happened not once, but twice. River wanted make Bjorn hurt and he knew a couple of ways...
River started using his magic openly. Desperate to learn everything sooner, quicker, he used all spells and imbibed all the potions that pushed him to become a stronger spellcaster. He almost forgot about the fine line balance and the sultry lure of power and being overcharged. He duplicato’d himself in front of Kat and Cass, thankfully he wiped their memories as he delirio’d them and anyone else that saw him use his magic.
But things took a wrong turn, River kept summoning a copy of himself. Ramilo, Everton, Harrison. It was weird they came with names and interacted with him like they had known each other for a long time. River didn’t pay much attention to that as he kept using them to clean, to cook, to pick up his laundry and ready his vengeance.
But his Copy started answering to his name, started pushing him away with skills and magic River earned and unintentionally duplicated as he summoned an Other.
The Other always bowed down to him and submitted to his will, helping River slowly unravel Bjorn for hurting his mother. He started with spells of mischief.
Days went where River obsessed over ruining Dirk’s day, to Dirk’s family. He tried to hurt your mother, twice! He was the reason they died! Anger festered River’s soul. He made Bjorn hated by Dirk (who River minionised to make Dirk invite Bjorn so that they can finally talk and let bygones be bygones--lies), his daughter, Sofia, and his wife Clara. River unleashed his fury through Furio-ing his loved ones, except Elsa and Bryanna. Kids were off limits.
The last Other River summoned tried to talk him out of a path of vengeance, River was going to get himself cursed from his hubris, River saw red. “You’re only here because of me. I own you! Don’t try to get in my way again.”
River confronts Bjorn in Three Wands Bar after Bjorn invited River out because he was in town. Rage fuelled River’s need to destroy and create chaos. When Bjorn played dumb, River let him go for a moment only to stop everything in the bar. Locking everyone but them frozen and River showed Bjorn who he really was.
You died in that ocean, River, but I saved us and forced a way. That’s why you woke up in a coma in Komorebi without your parents. Something had to give and I wasn’t going to let us die.

March 8 -Sakura: Something Is Missing
Last night had nearly been a disaster date when she had tried to talk about Titania to Prince Oberon to convince him that Titania was the one for him. But that had backfired. And then trying to put the flirty potion in Prince Oberon's drink, well, that didn't work either. The only thing that saved that date was Sakura serenading him on the piano, and in reality, she hadn't even been thinking about him when she had played that piece. Yet the serenade had worked, but perhaps it had worked too well.
Her plans of winning this quest was that she could then convince Prince Oberon to let her return to her world, once he realized that he was really in love with Titania. But that wasn't going to happen. She knew that now. She had been delusional to think he would ever let her go.
Sakura knew, that under other circumstances, Prince Oberon really was the perfect catch. He was very attractive, and a true gentleman. He was polite and always complimented Sakura, doted on her in fact, and was always caring and considerate. Life with him would certainly be wonderful. But there was just one problem...Sakura wasn't in love with him. Her heart belonged to another, in fact her heart belonged to two others, which had caused this whole problem to begin with. And maybe Prince Oberon didn't know any of this. Perhaps if she was truthful with him and told him everything, then maybe he would understand. Or maybe not, but Sakura felt this was her last chance.
Sakura picked up the phone and spoke to Prince Oberon, and asked him if he would like to go on a dinner date with her tomorrow night. Of course he agreed and said that he would be sending her something later today, and he would be honored if she wore it on her date tomorrow. She said that she would.
Sakura decided to be constructive instead of sitting around moping about her impending future and decided to read a few gourmet cooking articles on the computer. As she entered the living room, she noticed that something was missing. "Oh my gosh!" she thought, "The flirty potion was gone!"

Jess jumped to Naoki in the kitchen.
(Jess) “I am trying to convince Bryon to apply for university, but he won’t budge.”
(Naoki) “Why? Bryon, you should totally go to university. It suits you.”
(Bryon) “But you are already trying to find a job… And mom is always home, taking care for the house.. And Kristine… I should earn money too. I can’t afford studying.”
And while I was complaining, mom also decided to join in on the conversation.
(Randi) “I can afford your studies without a problem.”
(Bryon) “Huh?”
(Randi) “Years and years ago, back when I gave birth to you, I opened a bank account to save money, so that my kids would be able to go to university. I was always thinking far ahead, you could say. I just kept saving money for all these years. I have enough for you and Johnny, but well, Johnny isn’t going to use the money, so…”
(Bryon) “I couldn’t possibly take that, mom...”
(Randi) “But part of it belongs to you. I saved it… For you…”
Ah.. Mom... Don’t make that face...
(Randi) “You should do something for you. Something you like.”
(Jess) “Your mom’s right.”
(Naoki) “I was just going to say that too!”
(Roo) “Meow”
Argh. I can’t argue with these people.
(Bryon) “Would you be happy if I went to university?”
(Randi) “Very happy.”
And so, before I knew it... I sat behind the computer and applied to universities.
(Bryon) “I'm done."
(Jess) “See? Wasn’t that fun?!”
A smile appeared on my face.
(Bryon) “Yeah, it actually was.”
- Later that day -
(Bryon) “Hey, Naoki. What do you think about moving our house to Britechester?”
(Naoki) “Oh! That’s a great idea!! We should totally do that! Ohhh, my traveler-instinct is tickling me once again.”
(Bryon) “You know our house isn’t on wheels anymore, right?”
(Naoki) “Oh."
(Naoki) "Heheheh. Of course I knew that. We have to poof there with your Spellcaster-abilities!”
(Bryon) "You know what? I'll poof the house to Britechester, and then I'll come back to travel with you. I know you're missing it."
(Naoki) "... Really?"
(Bryon) "Really."
(Randi, in the background) "Kristine and I don't have to walk with you, right?"
(Bryon) "Hehe, no. You don't have to if you don't want. I can just drop you off in Britechester too."
And just like that, we walk into the next month. Britechester, here we come!

Also thanks for the comment about the Dine Out action. Dine Out and Spa Day are two packs I haven't bought yet, not sure if I eventually will or not. And I really liked Sakura in those colors I picked for her uni outfit too, feel free to use it in your game too! Jules didn't get a uni specific makeover, actually, but I did go in and update some of her outfit categories so she should be wearing some different outfits every so often in my updates this coming month

I teared up a little when I officially wrote my Lydia/Jules break up too. I wasn't expecting to, since I always planned to have them go their separate ways, but it was actually a bit more emotional and sad than I expected it to be. And I think maybe the aspiration got some updates in some recent patches? That's the only reason I can think that I was able to finish it a lot easier. There were a few parts that were a little buggy at times, and I had to switch between snowboarding and skiing to get dings, even though I should have been able to do it with just one, but in the end, it wasn't as hard to finish as I thought it might be.

Nice updates with Jenny. I like that she's kept up her friendships with Megumi and Morgan too. And I have gotten cowplants in very random ways, haha. I think Jules fished hers up. Grafting is just one way to do it.

So next update - I love how Bryon was hesitant to apply to uni since he was worried about money (so realistic haha), but then Randi, so sweet, has been saving up money just for that. I love it, and it's a great way to get the uni story going! So did you age Bryon up so he could officially apply? Wasn't sure since you didn't mention it specifically but did mention you might age him up a day early

They arrived at the restaurant, and Prince Oberon looked quite handsome in the outfit he had on.
Prince Oberon smiled at Sakura and had an intake of breath: "My blossom, when I chose that gown for you to wear I never dreamed you would look so...enchanting."
Sakura: "Thank you, Prince Oberon, and you look rather dashing yourself."
Prince Oberon: "So, you are taking me to dinner?"
Sakura: "Yes, Prince Oberon, but our table is in a special room. Very private. Just the two of us."
Prince Oberon: "Oh? Really? And will you be tasting all my food?
Sakura: "It will be my pleasure, Prince Oberon."
Prince Oberon smiled and handed Sakura a rose, ""This is for you, my blossom, although its beauty pales in comparison to yours."
Sakura smiled and smelled the rose: "I look forward to spending our last date together, Prince Oberon."
Prince Oberon: "As do I, Sakura, and I believe the evening is already memorable," he said, as he held out his arm to her, "May I escort you to dinner?"

They were seated in the room that Sakura had reserved and Prince Oberon looked around.
Sakura: "I hope you like it. They normally use this room for banquets, but I requested just one table and two chairs be placed in here. There is a beautiful fountain and a fireplace, and if you look up, the roof is made of glass, so we'll be dining under the stars."
Prince Oberon: "My blossom, this is perfect. And since my 21st birthday is in just a few days' time, I was wondering if you would care for something a little stronger than fruity fizzy juice. Perhaps a glass of nectar?"
Sakura: "Hmmm...that sounds good." [autonomous blow a kiss by Prince Oberon]
As they enjoyed their dinner, they chatted, and had several more glasses of nectar.
Prince Oberon: "My blossom, I have some rather unsettling news. This date was supposed to be the last date, but Titania changed her mind, and I will be going on a date with her tomorrow."
Sakura was a bit surprised and wondered why Titania had changed one of her dates "That is fine, but I do hope that this date will be memorable for you."
Prince Oberon: "More than you know, Sakura. In fact, I have spoken to the Council of Fae, and I have a surprise for you..."
Sakura: "Oh? What kind of surprise?" she asked, feeling suddenly nervous.
Prince Oberon: "I have asked permission for the final quest to take place once these dates are done. I wanted to end it all after these dates, but the Council insisted that the challengers must take the final quest."
Sakura: "...and...and what is the final quest, Prince Oberon?"
Prince Oberon: "It is a quest of true love, my blossom, given by the Fairy Godmother. And the way our date has gone this evening, I know that you will win this quest and be the Rightful Queen..."
Sakura took a sip of her nectar, "Prince Oberon, I agree that our date has been nothing short of a dream, but I need to tell you something..."
Prince Oberon looked intently at her, "What is wrong, my blossom? I thought this would make you happy, but you look troubled..."
Sakura took a deep breath: "Prince Oberon, when your sisters saw me in the garden watering the plants with my tears, I was crying because of some emotions I was feeling about two sims that I cared about. You see, I had a boyfriend who was away at a training camp, who hadn't written to me in a month, and I saw a special report on him with another girl, and because I hadn't heard from him, I didn't know if the report was true or not, and whether he still cared for me. That was one part. But the other part was that I had kissed someone, and they had kissed me back, and I had such feelings for them when it happened, and I was feeling guilty about how I was feeling towards them. So, I was very torn in my emotions over both of them and I felt confused, and I felt I had betrayed my boyfriend by kissing this other sim. And, I didn't know what to do...because I felt I was in love with both of them..."
Prince Oberon looked at Sakura and pursed his lips, "I see. And this boyfriend of yours...has he told you he loves you? Cares for you? Would do anything for you?"
Sakura shook her head, "No, he's never told me that he loves me..."
Prince Oberon: "And the other one, the one who kissed you and you have feelings for...has he told you he loves you? Cares for you? Would do anything for you?"
Sakura shook her head, "No, he has not told me he loves me either. But only because he knows I felt ashamed for having kissed him. But he told me he had feelings for me, but felt it was better to remain my friend, until I had a chance to speak with my boyfriend about that special report I had seen, and find out if it was false or not. And to this day, I still don't know the answer to that."
Prince Oberon: "You are very loyal and have great integrity, Sakura, and I see where this has put you in a dilemma. So, you care for both of them, even though they have not expressed their love for you?"
Sakura: "Yes."
Prince Oberon: "My dear Sakura, what heartache you have borne, but I must tell you that these two...they are both fools. They both had their chance with you. They had you close to them and did not tell you their love for you, and made your heart heavy with sadness. They did not realize they were holding something so fragile and beautiful within their grasp. And now you have gone from that world, and they will never have a chance to tell you what they may have wanted to say. But Sakura, why did you tell me this?"
Sakura: "I am sorry, Prince Oberon, but I do not think I will pass the final quest of true love. You have been nothing but kind and caring towards me and I have never been romanced like this before, but my heart...my heart belongs to someone else...to two sims in fact..."
Prince Oberon remained silent for a moment: "I do understand Sakura. This explains a lot and I now know why you have guarded your heart with me. My sisters did not tell me that you were otherwise involved with someone. They only told me you were very sad and cried often in the garden. When I saw you for the first time, I only wanted to fill your life with happiness"
Sakura: "Prince Oberon, if you truly want to make me happy, then you will return me to my world."
Prince Oberon: "My precious blossom, more than anything I want to make you happy, but I'm afraid that returning you to your world is not possible."
Sakura had tears in her eyes: "Why not, I do not understand..."
Prince Oberon: "Because, Sakura, I have already asked the Council of Fae to grant me permission for your hand in marriage..."
Sakura: :"But..but the quest...the dates...they're not over...and you told me that Titania has one more date with you...how can they...?"
Prince Oberon: "I told the Council that I had already made my decision, and that it was you who I wanted above all others. And as is tradition, I want to promise myself to you, and give you a symbol of that promise. The ones you cared about, those mortals...they could not speak the words that you so wanted to hear, but I can. Sakura, from the moment I saw you, I fell in love with you, and I will make it my life's mission to make you happy and treat you like the Queen that you are. This I promise you," he said as he took a ring from his pocket.
Sakura started to cry, "Oh Prince Oberon, I can't...I can't do this...please...please don't. Wouldn't you be happier with someone who loved you like you loved them? I know you don't want me to say her name...but it is Titania who loves you...the true love quest will prove it...you will see that I am telling the truth...and you, yourself told me you had deep feelings for her...so, please...please wait until the true love quest..."
Prince Oberon held the ring in his hand, "I am very patient, my blossom and my love for you is great, and I know that in time, you will open your heart fully to me and love me, too. But I see that this has caused great turmoil for you, so as is your wish, I will wait for the results of the final quest of true love. But I am certain you will win. Titania has already forfeited the first quest, which you won, and you will win the second quest as well. So, even if you lose the true love quest, it will be tied, and I have the final decision on who I want to be my bride. And I have already chosen you. So Sakura, when you do win the final quest, I want you to promise me that you will give all your love to me, and only me. Do you agree?"
Sakura wiped her eyes: "If I am the winner of the final quest, then, yes, I will come to you and love you with all of my heart, and only you. This I promise. But if you change your mind and want Titania as your bride, if I do not win the final quest, would you then consider my request and return me to my world and have no harm come to my offspring?"
Prince Oberon: "Yes, I will consider your request. I promise. Now, come to me, my blossom, and let us seal this bargain with a kiss..."
Sakura went to Prince Oberon who took her in his arms and kissed her passionately. Sakura felt herself float in his arms, heady from the nectar she had drunk.
When they parted, Prince Oberon spoke, "Sakura, it would be easy for me to put you under my spell and make you mine tonight, but I made a promise that I would not use magic on you. And like yourself, I keep my promises. And I know that you are trying to deny that you have feelings for me, but when we kissed, I could feel your heart opening to me. Just know this, Sakura, I will take care of you and love you. Forever and always."
And with that Prince Oberon took Sakura in his arms once again and kissed her longingly and held her close to him.

Trying to catch up. I gotta admit I had something weighing me down also .. that seemed to have resolved itself better so I'm going to try to get on track again! With a little stretching of time in game anyway.
The crew headed out to the Spice Festival to get some time away from studying. As soon as Archie landed Nancy tried to beat him up due to his curse.. didn't get a shot of that because it was too dark and all the townies are in close. Later though Clara took exception to his presence and let him have it. He did win both fights though. Maybe it was time to get what was coming to him?
March 29
I decided to have Nester visit and set up for the Flower Bunny to visit. I keep missing it every year and I want Roxanne to know the Flower Bunny. So I moved him in (for a short time) and he had some Daddy time the night before. The toddlers are so cute in the game.
I decided to remodel the house I found on the Gallery by @AIRIS6962 called Serenade found here if you want to check it out for comparison purposes. It's a great build on it's own, but I wanted to customize it for Essa and Josh. Screenshots of the build/remodel are under the Notes spoiler. I took them in Manage Worlds build mode because it's Fall in Britechester so all the foliage would've been brown or dead looking otherwise.
The house I started building just wasn't turning out like I had hoped. I had bulldozed the student housing lot in Foxbury to use since it's a 30x20 size and much more room. Oh well... *shrugs* I bulldozed it and there's no screenshots, I deleted them. Trust me, it was awful. o.O
After I finished doing that, I aged up all the challenge Sims, Eight is Enough club members and children/teens in Mt. Komorebi. Most of them didn't need many changes other than added a new trait. I also changed their aspirations to the DU one in hopes they'd show up as classmates for Essa. Essa has moved now, but I haven't aged her up yet, I'm waiting until after Midnight to do that. Josh has moved in as well. I have not played with them since the move though, again waiting until after Midnight. I mostly moved her so I could put all her photos, collections, books, etc. in the build before taking screenshots. So excited for this! It's been a long, long time coming!

Basement - the original build didn't have a basement, but I needed somewhere to put Essa's cauldron, Magic artifacts, potions, etc. Plus, her precious garden is down there too. Notice how some of the plants reverted to dirt clumps? *sigh* I cheated them back to a blossoming state.
One of the changes I made to the exterior/landscaping was to extend the pool. There was a hot tub right next to it.
I got rid of the basketball hoop and made an area for a new hot tub.

Yes quick follow up but seems weird to put them all in one post. So it was Springfest! I took a bunch of pictures on this day ... How can you not take pictures of toddlers? It was a very cold, rainy and dark day (boo). So even though there was an Easter egg hunt outside too I decided not to put in those pictures. I'm not even sure if they got all the eggs types although they got a lot.. but I had everyone in the house hunt until they had a good holiday but of course focused on Nester! They all made very good friends with the Flower Bunny except for Wolfgang who doesn't make friends easy yet still. Lol I don't know what's under the Bunny costume but Archie even got a few flirts in with them! The daily shot has poor Nester's feet going kind of wonky but I loved the look on his face.

Just a wrap up shot .. the next day was actually clear of course! No real story yet is coming to mind about Roxanne leaving. I'm pretty sure I'm moving her out alone though. I think I'll do better with just a single sim again for awhile. Besides she'll be a young adult. So farewell to Glimmerbrook!

Day 22 - Yay! So happy Jenny found a cowplant berry at the Spice Festival. Yes, this is normal. My Sims always get them at Festivals, usually the Spice Festival, but sometimes the Romance Festival as well.
I love building, but ran out of time to do it for April. However, I did renovate it a lot so at least I still did a little building. Seeing more of Essa, hmm, well that sounds great! Can't wait to see what makes her appear more now.
Day 23 - So nice of Megumi and Morgan to stop by to say farewell. Well, until Megumi stole the Vampirica encyclopedia! Tsk, how dare she!? So excited to see Jenny's new house and her experience in Uni! I think everyone will be having tons of fun this month. I hope so anyway.

I figured they'd break up on a higher note than not since I'm guessing we'll be seeing her again in Forgotten Hollow. It'll be a nice (hopefully) reunion for them then.
I wanted some way to explain why she'd want to go to Uni considering she's loaded and is a powerful Spellcaster. So making it an idea she's dreamed of since a child seemed like a good excuse.
The issue with Damon is on a backburner for a little while, but yes, it's not over, he'll appear in her life again.
Love the group shot! And yes, the hair you chose for Essa looks great, very close to her own style. Everybody looks fabulous!
Update 89 - Aww, Ruby is so cute getting a selfie with Yamachan! Love her little purple/pink snowsuit! Sweet hugs from Mom and a sled ride! Glad they didn't crash. o.O So cute playing in the water too! I did somewhat the same with all the teens in my game. I aged them up, but I didn't set them up in dorms or anything. I'm hoping the game will do that. If not, oh well. Essa won't be living in the dorms anyway.
Since I'm using my 'No Premades' custom save template, the Elderberrys and Pleasant sisters were never a part of Essa's world and those lots are empty too. Really the only open lots in Britechester are all 20x15, which is tiny. But I love tiny, comfy houses usually anyway. I was going to use the lot in Foxbury that had the student housing on it, it's 30x20. But I didn't like the build I made, so ended up with the Gallery find. It's a cute house.

I was just testing the Infatuate spell to see what it would do, if it would be something she could cast on Damon, but it ended up making for some really sweet screenshots. I also read that the spell can actually increase both Sims involved romance bar! If I use it enough on them, maybe they really will be a couple! I would love that! Essa has beat Astrid twice now, but they're friends, so it's cool.
Loved those screenshots with all the Sages! I just wish all the townie Spellcasters would've stayed out of the kitchen while they were talking! One guy actually stood behind Morgyn eavesdropping through a majority of it. Thankfully Morgyn's Sage icon blocked most of him.
Yes, Essa will stay a Spellcaster. At least for awhile, probably until she moves to Forgotten Hollow and becomes a Vampire. Maybe sooner, I haven't decided yet.
Uh, oh, I wonder who stole the flirty potion. o.O Congrats to her for getting promoted in Drama club to Practical Performer. I had no idea the Drama club was a 'job' like Scouts. That's another thing I've never tried as of yet.

The move from Evergreen Harbor hadn’t been easy. She’d loved her little garden-friendly house, and the neighbourhood she lived in. She liked how sunny it was, how friendly the neighbours were, and how often she’d been able to have her friends over.
But when Megumi had approached her about this cabin, she’d been swayed. A bigger space, more greenery, a little more wild. She’d agreed to at least visit it, and then she’d fallen in love. A friend of Megumi’s was selling it on, and Jenny knew that properties in Evergreen came and went all the time. It had an infamously big green community, and people were always desperate to move in, so she knew she could sell quickly.
Rohan hadn’t been so wild about her moving, of course. He thought she could move back to Mt Komorebi, move into one of the little houses around there, so he could flit between her place and Britechester more easily. After all, she got along so well with Megumi, surely it would be better for her?
She’d refused. Most of the houses that were available were too small for her liking, and the ones that weren’t too small were far too expensive. He’d asked what was so wrong with a small place, given that it really only had to accommodate her.
She groaned as she thought back on that, and tried to focus on the present. Rohan could be so dense sometimes. It wasn’t like they were still kids, after all. They’d graduated high school, and Jenny had decided against university for now and instead decided to focus her energy into moving to Glimmerbrook Watch. Rohan was still, as he ever was, living with his grandparents and now his sister, who had asked to come live with them to scope out the universities properly.
She’d very much wanted Rohan to come live with her, if she was honest about it. She’d imagined that if where she lived was big enough, he might want to. But for the time being, it didn’t seem like the thought had even crossed his mind, and it was starting to get to Jenny.
Didn’t Rohan want to move in with her? He’d always had a small complaint or two about how his grandparents treated him like a child, and yet when she’d been ready to move, all he could see it as was something she was doing. She wished that he’d been ready to move, or had even suggested it, but she now had a double bed, which she already knew she’d be spending a chunk of her nights alone in. It was frustrating, and more so because she loved him. They just...weren't the teenagers they'd been. That was all. But it seemed like she was the only one who saw that.
She’d confided in Morgan, and Morgan had told her that she should either bring it up with Rohan or, if it really was too much, dump him. The words had been like ice, and Jenny had started to nervously look at all the aspects of her relationship. Rohan tended to invite her out to events, but their dating style did not really seem to have grown up with them. She knew everyone else in their circles was starting to move in together, with some even having babies together, something that had shocked her the first couple of times it happened. For instance, Siobhan, who was at least older than her, had gotten married in a big, fancy wedding. Jenny had gone alone, because Rohan didn’t like the idea of going to the wedding of someone he didn’t get along well with. It had been a lovely event, and Jenny at least had gotten to hang out with Morgan, a reluctant bridesmaid.
But everyone seemed to be moving in and following the natural path for couples, but Rohan seemed to want them to stay in one place. At this rate, Jenny knew she would be the one to have to bring up the idea of their future and whether they even had one that he wanted as much as she did.

Okay, I'm not great at houses, but I'm kind of proud of this one! This is Jenny's house!
As you can see, it has a LOT of space compared to our last lot, and I am really excited to fill it up with things. I've got a lot of fun storylines coming, from Heather to heartbreak to happiness. Also, a better look at the walls:

I made 'Serenade' for a request and I buildt it in that lot in Britechester.
It was a challenge itself because my requester wanted a tiny home with 2 beds and 2 baths for a couple with a cat and a dog. They were studing at the Uni and wanted to have children. Pool, jacuzzi, etc.

Dell had planned a small birthday party for Jules that afternoon. In the meantime though, Jules started unpacking their things, and Ruby was delighted to find her friend Lenny.
After a bit, Jules decided to take Ruby outside to play before the party. Sofia told her there was a toddler playground close by, so they headed there. (Ruby was getting really sad because she was hot, hence the outfit change. I probably don't have to explain Ruby's outfit changes though. Anyone who has spent a lot of time with toddlers before knows it's quite normal to go through several outfits a day, LOL)
There was a little boy playing at the playground already, and Ruby eagerly joined him.
His father was close by as well, and Jules introduced herself. His name was Oliver Johnson, and he and his wife lived nearby with their toddler son, Theo. He was a stay at home dad, and his wife, Sonia, was the Director of Academics at Britechester University.
They talked for a bit, and it looks like Jules was excited to finally have someone to relate to over the craziness of parenting a toddler.
"Looks like we'll have to plan a playdate soon," Oliver laughed as Ruby pulled Theo into a hug.
Then it was time to head back to the house for Jules' birthday party. (Not a very eventful event, haha, I only snagged a few photos. Aside from the household members, Bex was the only other guest)

Then it was bedtime for this little lady. She had a lot of exciting thoughts about her busy day to babble about before snuggling under the covers.
Jules sat on the edge of Ruby's bed for a bit, even after she had fallen asleep, thinking about how much she loved her daughter, and just how lucky she was how everything in her life was falling into place.

So Jules aged up with the following character value traits - good manners, responsible, compassionate, and emotional control. Her conflict resolution bar was a bit in the red upon aging up though. I blame her hot-headed trait and all those fights she had with Mario and Brittany lol.
I honestly didn't know what trait to give Jules upon aging up. I had been mulling over this for a while actually, trying to think about what Jules' personality truly is. Since she's plowing through so many aspirations and skills, it's hard to decide what her hobbies actually are since she has basically done/will do them all, and that makes it harder to determine her core personality at times too. I looked through the traits again upon aging her up and really considered them, trying to pick the one best for Jules, and the one I picked will end up being quite useless, but I feel like it truly does suit her - dog lover
So I'm pretty sure I already posted a picture of Dell and Sofia's house in an update a while ago, but I'll share it again in today's update since it's been a bit.

I don't have a ton of room for Jules' garden, but I did keep a few plants out. I'm not too worried about money these days, Jules has almost 200k. Plus I now have Sofia's professor income coming in.

These are all the parts of the house I edited, the rest of it is pretty much how I downloaded it, and I'm sure it will be showing up frequently in screenshots over the next few days so I won't share individual photos now.
I know about builders' tricks used on tiny homes since I love to build too.
I have screenshots for today's post, but they need sorting/story added and I need to get some sleep as well. I'll post and comment later this afternoon. BTW, I uh, accidentally hit 'try for baby' during Essa and Josh's reunion, so....yeah. o.O Opps!

And, no, in all my gameplay, I have never had that 'Deeply Loved' sentiment before. But then most of the sentiments that any of my sims get, seem to go away over time, which is kind of too bad.
I had never done the interaction "Exchange Promise Rings" which only teens can do, and that is how it is. Instead of going down on one knee, like the propose interaction, they just take a ring out of their pocket. I only did this interaction for photo purposes and didn't save the game after it was done.
Also, "try for baby" lol - okay that is your subconscious thinking of what you really want Josh and Essa to do! lol
@permanentrose - Thanks for asking about the other trait when they age up to YA. Being the slowpoke of the group and still working on Sakura's epic saga (lol) for March, Sakura won't age up until probably Sunday.
Jenny now has the Loves Outdoors trait! I thought it was fitting.

Finding out hurt River deeply. Confused and angry, there was nothing else he could do other than cry for his dead mother, for something that happened before he was born, cry and rage like what his father must have left when it happened not once, but twice. River wanted make Bjorn hurt and he knew a couple of ways...
River started using his magic openly. Desperate to learn everything sooner, quicker, he used all spells and imbibed all the potions that pushed him to become a stronger spellcaster. He almost forgot about the fine line balance and the sultry lure of power and being overcharged. He duplicato’d himself in front of Kat and Cass, thankfully he wiped their memories as he delirio’d them and anyone else that saw him use his magic.
But things took a wrong turn, River kept summoning a copy of himself. Ramilo, Everton, Harrison. It was weird they came with names and interacted with him like they had known each other for a long time. River didn’t pay much attention to that as he kept using them to clean, to cook, to pick up his laundry and ready his vengeance.
But his Copy started answering to his name, started pushing him away with skills and magic River earned and unintentionally duplicated as he summoned an Other.
The Other always bowed down to him and submitted to his will, helping River slowly unravel Bjorn for hurting his mother. He started with spells of mischief.
Days went where River obsessed over ruining Dirk’s day, to Dirk’s family. He tried to hurt your mother, twice! He was the reason they died! Anger festered River’s soul. He made Bjorn hated by Dirk (who River minionised to make Dirk invite Bjorn so that they can finally talk and let bygones be bygones--lies), his daughter, Sofia, and his wife Clara. River unleashed his fury through Furio-ing his loved ones, except Elsa and Bryanna. Kids were off limits.
The last Other River summoned tried to talk him out of a path of vengeance, River was going to get himself cursed from his hubris, River saw red. “You’re only here because of me. I own you! Don’t try to get in my way again.”
River confronts Bjorn in Three Wands Bar after Bjorn invited River out because he was in town. Rage fuelled River’s need to destroy and create chaos. When Bjorn played dumb, River let him go for a moment only to stop everything in the bar. Locking everyone but them frozen and River showed Bjorn who he really was.
You died in that ocean, River, but I saved us and forced a way. That’s why you woke up in a coma in Komorebi without your parents. Something had to give and I wasn’t going to let us die.
