Hi everyone!

I’m a longtime Simmer and first time player of the Sims 4. I recently got the game and knew I wanted to play legacy mode to learn the ropes.

I’ve also always wanted to write up a legacy, but never quite had the confidence. Well, something about the new game, the cold weather and all this isolation has prompted me to actually do it, and I hope you’ll join me for the ride!

I’m posting daily at the moment, I will update this post if plans change

I really welcome any comments or critiques, I want to share the love (sometimes love/hate) of the Sims with you all!

Our founder is Bonnie Broke, the granddaughter of Brandi Broke in my long-running Sims 2 game.



Welcome to the Broke Legacy, where the rules are made up and the points don’t matter.

That being said, I will be following a few rules, which I reserve the right to change if the moodlet takes me.

• Heirs must be biologically related to the founder, so no adopted or step-children can be heir.
• I won’t necessarily build one house because I get a bit bored by building – if the family gets too rich, the heir make strike out on their own to start fresh in a new home or town
• I will run heir polls so I don’t just pick the one I like, and it’s a bit more interactive

I love it! The birth story is such a perfect Broke tale
(I liked that family in Sims 2 too, it was a challenge. In my game Brandi ended up with Darren Dreamer)

@tinyv0idcat she is cute! I like the gap in her teeth, couldn’t resist that option!

@mightysprite I loved the Brokes. Darren Dreamer is a great choice for Brandi, although he married Cassandra Goth in my game... Brandi married a townie with a very long nose and he somehow got electrocuted to death totally accidentally 🤔

I love putting pre-mades into my legacy play.

Before I lost my game files, I had my founder hook up with Don and they too had a baby. In my game he was a very attentive father but not so good at staying in one relationship.

Commented on the blog itself, but just wanted to say I'm really enjoying this legacy so far!

Can't wait to see how Harper grows up, and whether we'll see any more babies!

@JestTru I’m glad you did that too, he’s a very charismatic sim! And the premades are always easier to keep track of, and you can follow their children’s progress which is fun! Thank you for reading

Eating cereal on the sofa? Extremely relatable, Harper. Also, I too have the thermostat and for some reason my Sims still forget to change out of their cold weather clothing indoors half the time lol. Excited for baby number 3!

I was wondering if Bonnie was going to pop out multiples, when you said she was constantly trying to keep on top of all her needs! But nope, just a rough late pregnancy. You're probably glad she just had one, though

I'm liking this. It's funny in a way that a lot of TS2 legacies are funny so I'm not shocked you came from that world.
