This is an awesome thread. Thanks so much for sharing. I have a sim who's working on completing all the aspirations so I'm going to start over on page 1 of your thread for any helpful hints and tips.
Congrats on completing your aspiration challenge @mcrudd ! You're so fast! I'm using the same order and I've only completed three so far (haven't had much time to play), working on the Friend of the Animals aspiration now. This one is so much more time consuming then I thought! Having so many pets is... well, chaotic I'm having fun, though! I might change the order to the revised order you recommend, but I'm not entirely sure yet, as I do like how completely random your 'previous' order is. We'll see!
Hahaha thanks you, yeah I had a lot of simming time recently. I think the revised order will be easier, but its completely up to you Please share your pics here as you go along, would be great to see how you do it Happy simming and all the best

Hahaha yeah we can all help each other with little tips, I must say for the serial romantic one the flirty emotional table lamps is a must if you have those available in your game, if not I do have some flirty paintings in my gallery that might help too Please post your story here, it would be great to follow along how you get on
I found the easiest way to do the Serial Romantic aspiration was to form a club that kisses and does romantic interactions and just invite one additional member at a time. It goes pretty fast and you just kick them out and grab the next victim. It also helps to have the dates on a Tiny House lot as the relationship/romantic bars go up extremely fast!
Aspiration 35 - City Native - Nathan left his tiny house for a big apartment in the city. The worst part of this one was just waiting for the festivals to roll around but it wasn't hard at all.
Aspiration 36 - Computer Whiz - the hardest part of this was getting the 100 hours of computer time - but we created about 5 video games to bring in some money for a little while.
Well done @Llandros2012 Yeah the city one was easy, but like you said such a waiting game and if you accidently skipped one you had to wait even longer. My sim was permanently on the computer so that one was easy for me. She lives on her computer LOL. You are more than halfway now
While I work on Ruby's childhood aspirations, I'm also working on her mom's aspirations. I'm on the parenting one right now. I deliberately made Ruby make a mess just so Jules could discipline her haha. Can't wait to get past this aspiration milestone - making my kid sims misbehave just so the parents can discipline them is a little sad haha (I tend to play with autonomy off so it's up to me to make the kids make poor choices)
They had a nice cuddle the next morning though and there were no hard feelings
Thanks @mcrudd for sharing this journey. I enjoyed it a lot. I've been thinking of doing it myself, but I have too many saves at this point that I play rotationally and I already have a "supersim" save in which I have troubles of going forward because I don't want to play same save too long. I always miss my other Sims if I get stuck on one save.
I had fun following your story, though.
Aww @permanentrose the cuddle pic is so sweet. How clever to ask her to make a mess, I was silly enough to just wait for them to do something, completely forgot I could tell them too hahahaha

Yay so glad you enjoyed my little adventure, happy simming to you I am also always scared something will corrupt after an update or new pack, I am always relieved if nothing breaks
Aspiration 37 - Enforcer of Order - Decided it was time to knock another of the Star Wars aspirations out - Just one more of those to go when we decide to finally turn from the dark side!
Aspiration 38 - Mt Komorebi Sightseer - still in the mood to travel, Nathan enjoyed the festivals and the local scene. The hot springs were nice until they got dirty - yuck! I didn't know that they did that!
Aspiration 39 - Extreme Sports Enthusiast - this was a pretty logical follow-up aspiration to go for. I think I enjoyed the mountain climb the most of all the requirements!
Down to the final 13 and some of them are the ones I have been dreading but there are still a few lighter ones to wrap up before we get to those I think!
@mcrudd and @Llandros2012 I see you guys both have a lot of aspiration points from your screenshots - do you guys ever buy reward traits for your sims, or do you just have a ton of points left over after buying the ones you want? That's one of my favorite perks of actually achieving aspirations - getting them all those reward traits haha.
--
Ruby has a homework club now to help with her social butterfly aspiration
@permanentrose I actually buy several of the rewards but I don’t get the ones that alter needs - some aspirations ask you to fall asleep or sleep in a tent so it’s easier to do those without the rewards. I’m also making my sim eat at the food stalls and restaurant to learn the other foods. When he wraps up all aspirations that require his needs to decay then I might grab those needs rewards.
Aspiration 40 - Master Chef - This was very easy to accomplish and now Nathan can cook meals that will not spoil - this will come in handy when it comes time to deal with toddlers that can grab food for themselves off the counter!
Aspiration 41 - Master Mixologist - I hated that I had to cheat that one level since you can't go back and choose a different branch (I'm not using any mods at all) but it's really a simple aspiration to do. I don't even think it took more than a day to complete.
Getting closer to the aspirations I have been putting off but will try to knock out the faster ones first. Loving the penthouse and will have Nathan stay here a bit longer as I am learning all the food stall recipes. Also trying to get all the posters - I finished the snow globes already.
@Llandros2012 You are doing excellent. Yeah I feel it silly that you can't go back to change a different branch, I thought you could and made my sim get demoted and demoted but it never came up at that point, so all the demotion for nothing. I also did my star wars ones last night, I made sure to end it on the resistance this time, I do not like ending it on the order and being a meany. You are doing well, will be done in no time
@permanentrose I used to do as Llandros2012 said, most ones I bought was actually the quirk be gone one when my sim was a celebrity. The no touching and tasty palette (something like that) one gets a bit much after a while. Although last night I caved and bought the ones that would probably affect my gameplay now, never weary and forever clean and so on and on. I just got super frustrated in Batuu. There is literally just the dj for fun. So it will be interesting to see my gameplay further on. Like Llandros2012 said I might have issues now with the camping one where I need to sleep in a tent. But I will see what I can do, perhaps look at potion options since I am a spellcaster. I think it completely is unfair that my spellcaster lost all her powers in batuu, otherwise I would still be ok. Having done the starwar ones so soon this time made it harder because I did not have programming and logic skills this time. But yeah I will just plot on and see how I go. I am at no 12 now of my revised list
@mcrudd and @Llandros2012 Thanks for the insight. I tend to buy up the need ones as fast as I can, can't stand playing needs in this game lol. That's just my personal preference though - for me, there's just so many more interesting things to do than make my sims pee, sleep and eat You can usually force your sims to eat and sleep even if they don't need it. My sim, Jules, had the never weary trait when she did the mountain excursion and needed to rest/sleep for that one and was fine when I directed her to do it.
(I also don't have the ROM pack so unfortunately I can't use potions. I do cheat needs sometimes, but in the end, I'd just rather get the reward traits)
@permanentrose I just got super frustrated in Batuu. I will load up my game and take a screenie, I think I hardly have any points left those need ones were expensive LOL
Jules has completed about 12 aspirations now (though I tend to aspiration hop instead of just doing one at a time so I do get some extra aspiration points here and there by jumping around since she has a lot of half finished ones). And this is her list of traits, kind of crazy now that I look at them all!
So this is how far Katelyn is on the new list. I am not posting her adventures because I did the whole of Nadia's
This is how little aspiration points she has left after her Batuu holiday
and this is the reason why, so will see how it goes on in the future aspirations now that needs are sort of cared for, she will live a vampire life as a spellcaster LOL
I just got super frustrated in Batuu and did not want to cheat her needs so I bought all the goodies to keep her green all the time LOL
@permanentrose we posted the same time. Katelyn has a lot too, but I think too many too share hahahaha. Your sim has some very interesting ones there. I must say it does change your gameplay completely, guess with needs tended too I can work on skills or something now LOL although I really want to only skill up this time with aspirations, I don't want to study with books this time, that is my aim, so I might just let her paint and make snowpals for now LOL
@mcrudd I find that with needs tended to, I can appreciate so many small things in the game that I forget about when they get so needy and just constantly need a toilet and a bed lol. Just my personal preference though. And some of my reward traits might be mod related if you don’t recognize them haha.
You should still post Katelyn’s progress from time to time, I enjoy seeing your updates!
@permanentrose I agree, I used to constantly either use my potions or tend to needs, now I can sit back and relax. I decided to not use books to skill up this time, I want to see what needs I need to use for aspirations and how far up I need to use them. So she is out in the yard building snowpals and will paint for income so we can use the thermostat in the house as it makes the bills more and so on. She has to be a completely no cheats sim, so far she is, have not cheated once
I am also saving things Katelyn earn that is special and Katelyn herself in my library every now and then Just incase something goes wonky and I lose my game again.
@mcrudd what’s that thing that looks like the mother plant behind her?
Its a motherplant tendril she received from the Strangerville folk after she rescued them for the Mother plant Its too big for inside her tiny little house, so I placed it outside
@mcrudd I had no idea they could get that! Jules keeps receiving Strangerville fanmail but it's all just rotten cupcakes and fish lol
Have you checked your buy mode inventory, it might be in there. I get fanmail too, fish and cupcakes but now and then a magic cube or a block of clay LOL
@mcrudd and @permanentrose I am with you on those needs rewards - I usually get them as fast as I can. I think the only one that could be impacted is the animal aspiration (it helps if the dog barks and wakes you up to have something to train out) - after that, I am buying those rewards and taking a break. The thing that is killing me is the dust - I have a maid coming daily but I still have to vacuum like there is no tomorrow or the house gets filthy - and having three floors to clean is no fun. I'm tempted to turn off the dust but haven't yet.
Aspiration 42 - Paragon of Hope - Nathan is finally done with the Batuu missions although he'll need to come back to work on wrapping up those collections. Glad to be done though.
Aspiration 43 - Joke Star - another easy one and probably the last one in the big city. Nathan finished up the poster collection and is getting close to knowing all the stall recipes. He can travel back to finish those whenever he feels like it.
Time to go figure out what the next attempt will be....

I don't think Lilly Feng likes anyone LOL, she is not a friendly neighbourhood sim at all, You go Ruby you can do it, go and meet the neighbours
