I love Granite Falls so much! <3

I've finally gotten Granite Falls to function as a residential world, thanks to Zerbu's mod and some awesome patches. I love this world so much! I love that there are no cars or skyscrapers, and there is so much beauty. It's really fun having my Sims bicycle or jog around the world. I would love another world like this one so I can have more lots! I think it's my new favorite, even more than my previous favorite Strangerville!

Granite falls has been my favorite world since forever!!!! <3<3<3 It's seriously the best. I've been dissapointed for so long we can't live there without mods. Selvadora is really nice too. The best two imo

I really like that world too! It is so beautiful and calm to have the sims run around in the forest, and the bug spawners make great building material. And the hermit is goofy and cute.

I like GF as well! It's such a great contrast to the more busy worlds. My sims go there for a couple days to relax, but I have not yet done much changes to the world or lots. It can still be used in many different ways, like family vacation, romantic weekend, skill focusing like panting, fishing, yoga etc. My only negative is that harvestables normally take long to spawn, and if a specie is season restricted, my sim might need to come back in a full year to try again... (know it can be cheated). Also wish there were a few more random (and very rare) wild animals.

I like the cabin in the park too. It has a guitar and a woodworking table, so it’s a great place for Sims who don’t have much money to build some skills.

Outdoor Retreat has been a favorite of mine since its release, I think it was the first game pack to be release. I love the herbal remedy potions and they can really come in handy. Everybody knows herbal remedies in my games, lol.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

It's been one of my favorite worlds too. When the game was new I had a number of characters "live" there on vacation. They'd max or nearly max everything you could learn there while building a nest egg for themselves.. herbalism, gardening, fishing, cooking, guitar, logic ect... and also whatever I decided to build there (usually in the national forest lot.. to keep it free to them). They would get a rental that had nothing or next to nothing on it to avoid paying much. Many a romance sim went there for clandestine meetings also. I found so many ways to play there that I barely touched GTW for a year.
I also love the not built up, forested look of the place and it was the closest I could get to making a witch type of character at that time because of the herbalism skill.
I still really want some sort of rural world or woody world... dirt roads/ maybe cobblestone in some areas. With an unstructured feel for my sims to call home.
I don't want to have to use a mod till the game is done though but will definitely keep that one in mind for the future.

It’s a wonderful mod! It’s finally working well enough that my Sims can go to regular jobs and invite people from other worlds to visit, and vacationers aren’t trying to take over the house anymore. The only glitch now is that it won’t let you build normally in Granite Falls because you’re “on vacation.” But bb.enablefreebuild does the trick! :)

I wish all worlds could be residential. Now that we can put rental lots anywhere, it would be nice for Selvadorada and Granite Falls to have the option to put residents there - I just installed island living and am using it primarily as a vacation world but I’m glad that locals get to live there full time too. It’s also helpful that Sulani is a residential world since my dog got sick and needed a vet while my family was vacationing there and I could visit brindleton bay easily without ending the vacation.

For some reason, I just have no interest in playing vacation worlds. I barely touched Granite Falls until I got the mod working.

Hmm, I will try to change up some lots. I’ve only been to GF once with the lots from game, and I can’t use mods. My Sims usually vacation in the residential worlds, so I honestly forget about GF and Jungle Adventure.

Wow I might try this. It was very glitchy a long time ago. I'll give it another shot thanks!
I'm the same way. Never play vacations so these beautiful worlds are wasted 😆

Glimmerbrook looks a lot like Granite Falls except for it doesn't have mountains.

I’ve noticed that Forgotten Hollow actually has some similarities too.
