AVG and AVAST blocking Sims4 files. A fix.

AVG and Avast anti virus apps, are affecting Sims4 files after Sims4 updates. I thought it was a bug with Sims 4, but discovered it was my AVG Anti-Virus. AVG and Avast blocks Sims 4 files after an update, and Sims4 resets to default. You lose most of your settings, and the customs folder is ignored. There is a fix, in AVG settings you have to include exceptions for either the whole 'Users/Documents' folder or the sub folder 'Electronic Arts'. You also need to include exceptions for all the executable (exe) files in 'Program Files (x86)/ 'Origin' folder and 'Origin Games/The Sims 4' folder. Probably the same method in Avast? A good idea inside folder 'Users/Documents/Electronic Arts' to delete the 'options.ini' file (Sims4 will create a new one), and edit the 'GameVersion.txt' file to show the correct Sims4 version. At the next Sims4 update, your settings and customs folder should not be changed. Contact AVG and Avast about this. Thanks for all the help and especially 'crinrict(Hero)' for finding and fixing this problem, he does not work for EA, but should be praised by them.
