"This interaction is unavailable because a Sim is being escorted" message

I am getting this message on my active Sims whilst on a mission in Batuu where you have to round up citizens in the First Order District. The game does not seem to run after this message. Is this a glitch? Has anyone else had this message? Thanks.

I have had sims on first order missions being escorted out of the resistance camp. In their action que I saw the face of the Sim that is throwing them out. They would first have a fight and then they are escorted to the edge of the resistance camp. After a loading screen they would be back in the neighborhood with the dwelling. This is as far as I know how the 'being escorted' should work. Just to clarify what this message is supposed to be about. My game didn't freeze or something like that.

I have had this same message, I’ve reset my sims and restart the game and everything and it still says “this interaction is unavailable because a sim is being escorted.”

I think it takes a little while for them to be escorted...this happened to me and I was told to wait until they were taken off the screeen.

I got escorted to jail one time. It takes awhile before your sim goes, I turned on fast speed which made it happen sooner.

When playing in Batuu, I always make sure there are at least three sims in my household. One stays home while the other two go to Batuu. I get glitches when planning the outfits at the dwelling in Black Spire, and to get out of it, I switch control to the sim at home, then I switch back again.

I found when doing the First Order missions, that my sim glitched when escorting the first prisoner and I couldn’t get rid of it. So I switched to the non-First Order sim in Batuu, who had just been laying around, then from there switched control to the home sim. Then I was able to switch control back to the original sim, who was now unstuck. I did that each time she arrested a suspicious citizen until she could finally complete the mission.

So my main recommendation is: don’t play in Batuu with a single sim in the household. Even if you never use the other two sims, have them there in case your main sim gets stuck and you can simply switch control around until you can control your main sim again.
