Sims 5 brainstorming: How they could do videogames.

I like to talk a little about videogames and gaming within the sims series, seeing how the sims is a game and everyone involved in making it knows the gaming industry it's silly to in sims 4 STILL see sims act like sitcom characters playing videogames.

Does not help either that the selection of stuff sims can play is always terrible.

What I propose is the following: Have a game for different categories, and let sims their traits determine their preference. Also have games be a bit different.

For example, some games they could have and how it could affect sims differently:

-Fighting game.
Just a fighting game of sorts, could be censored with pow effects on screen or something. It could be implied to be a brutal game, maybe some over the top fake name and fake game and some good use of sound effects.
Sims who are angry could get relief from playing this game, but a hot headed sim could get angry when they lose.
Child and teen sims could want to play it, and it could be possible for parents to forbid their kids from playing it or even teens. It's a nice recognizable source of family conflict. They could still try to play it when their parents aren't around or up in their room.

-Race game.
When sims play this, they steer the controller like they are driving. Any sims with traits related to cars could love this game. Could maybe be a need for speed game or such which EA also owns.

-city builder.
Could be sim city or whatever else EA owns. This could put sims in the focused state and could be favoured by genius sims or maybe any sims with traits related to construction work.

-Fantasy RPG.
Could be any fantasy RPG, could even be sims medieval. Could be a favourite for fantasy enthusiasts, I feel like the geek trait should be split up in sci-fi stuff and fantasy stuff, a sim could have both traits of course.
A sim could really lose themself in this game and want to play it for many hours, and want to discuss this particular game with other sims. The sim could play this game more relaxed but entranced in the emotional scenes.
Sims who are more emotional could react stronger to it.

-Sports game.
EA owns them all but just one sport game is enough really, they are all the same. Athletic sims and any sims into sports could love playing this game.
Geek an fantasy loving sims could dislike this game unless they have another trait that would make them like it.

-Boring educational game.
That game parents might get their kid but what most kids would hate. Maybe a golf game as a reference to the simpsons or some sort of management game. Could be a game that does not really exist but something that sounds super boring.
Only sims with a specific trait could enjoy playing this game while any other sim would actually lose fun and find it boring when playing this, but it could be a means to increase one particular skill, like logic for example.

-Sims 1.
It's always been there so let's keep that up. Only let traits play a factor into how sims might react to playing it. Genius sims could get an existential crisis from playing it. If a sim plays this game enough, it could also enable them the unique ability to prevent one or more deaths that the player can inflict on them as a fourth wall break thing, maybe they could even look right at the player after doing this. They are on to you.
Like if you box them in a wall, they could break a wall piece. Would be fitting with the whole breaking the fourth wall bit.
Should only affect deaths clearly inflicted by the player.

Should be arcade versions of some of these games too. Just because arcade's are not really a thing anymore in real life, they can be in the sims! We should not be bound to the modern era. Like make that racing game a big arcade machine where sims could sit on a bike or sit in chairs with steering wheels.
Have sims stand around to watch when two sims play the fighting game.
Sims could own such an arcade cabinet too, but it could only play one game.

Finally, video games should not be standard. All should be bought either digitally or in a store. Video game stores still exist, please let us make them.

And to top that off, have a small package of promotional stuff with most of these games. Could be a hat, a costume or two, a poster, action figures to put on a shelf, a gaming chair, etc.

WHICH EA could also use to promote a new game or games already published. I don't mind advertisement like that! This is where they can dig deep into their vault of licenses.
For a new game released after Sims 5, they could even make a stuff pack of it that features the game + promotional content for your sims to play with.
For example, they give sims C&C remastered to play with. This could come with some millitairy style outfits of those games, game posters and maybe even a new car or bike if sims 5 gets vehicles.

Let sims be as excited about gaming as we can be.
