Issue with teen mermaid hair

I’m not sure if this is an issue with mods or just a normal issue but my teen female sim, who is a mermaid, has weird hair in both mermaid form and swimwear. Her hair, which is a base colour pink, has been modded as a toddler and child so that she could have pink hair. For all other outfits, her hair is fine, but for swimming and mermaid form, her hair has patches of green and grey. It doesn’t matter if I change the colour of the hair or the hairstyle, those patches remain. Is this an issue with mods? I only have MCCC, the mods for unnatural hair colours for those younger than teen, plus some other mods to get more hair and skin colours.
