Can't get rid of CC?

I tried some new skins and eyes for my Sims and I found it to be just creepy, so I took them out (two different mods). However, they still show on my Sims in game. I cleared the caches, the mods are out of the mods folder, skins still show in game. I saved my characters and checked them with Custard and they have no CC showing. I removed the mods folder and loaded the game and those skins and eyes are still there. Does anyone know what I still need to do? I can't play with these creepy Sims.
