I thought my game had bugged out at first because I couldn't find Kylo or Rey anywhere, but I found them today! I thought it was a really nice touch that they gave Rey a British accent, but it does make me wish I could select a British accent for my self-sim.
I did think that the missions would be a little wash, rinse, repeat type of thing (which I'm okay with) but oh boy... some of them are difficult. I'm currently doing one to gather as much intel on either the First Order or the Resistance to sell to the highest bidder and my sim keeps getting beaten up. She's now working on her fitness skill.
I also got a BB unit, which I named BB-DJ, because he follows my sim around playing music all day long.

Is anyone else doing the Resistance? I'm on Mission 2 and trying to complete task two which is a challenge (a good thing). The storm troopers and first order are everywhere. I'm currently trying to obtain comm tower access code. I guess timing is everything.
It is definitely useful to have help. Can your sim take along a mate?
I am just doing that mission and managed that part with the help of hubby distracting the storm troopers with jokes lol.
Okay, so I haven't actually gone to Batuu yet since I'm making preparations for it (adulting isn't fun when work consumes your life lol) but I have made progress with this bunker style build.
I was still hoping for a space ship wreckage or something similar that I could use to 'conceal' the bunker entrance, but there wasn't really anything I could use. Instead, I placed one of the debug buildings and scaled it down slightly. I thought it would look like an eyesore in Oasis Springs but surprisingly, it's not so bad!
It's still a work in progress, and I have plenty more landscaping and vegetation to add, but I'm getting there! Pretty happy with what I have so far.

I placed a restroom rabbit-hole back here, out of sight because it doesn't really fit the look of Batuu.
I put it here in case I did not feel like sending my sim beneath the Cantina.
And what is beneath the Cantina, you ask?
Lodgings.
I was really getting tired of running all the way to the rabbit hole accommodations and the food rabbit holes.
Plus it was killing immersion.
I can add these cameras to their inventory.
They haven't been tested, so I don't know if everything will be okay when they return home.
I love this.
The door lock was a bit funky. It's best to lock it for everyone and then select your sims one at a time for entry permission.

I chose these beds because they seemed travel oriented with storage lockers.
They're more military though.

A droid can act as a distraction for First Order patrols. If credits are tight, I recommend starting with Scoundrel missions - they are a bit easier to start, and pay better. A droid is 1000 credits, but will be super useful!

Kinda wondering if anyone else is running into the same problem as I am, but when I send sims to Batuu, have them buy lightsabers, they all seem to be coming up with the most recent color put in even if I had other colors in there first.
i.e. I have one sim buy a lightsaber with a green crystal, have them install that, and then a second sim buy one in with a blue crystal, pout that in their lightsaber and they're suddenly both blue?

I decided to have a trial run at the game, just for fun and to get a feel for it. I made up a brand new character and basically did the opposite of what I had planned (Resistance/pretend Jedi). She started out with the First Order, then switched to Scoundrel. I didn't expect being a space pirate to be so much fun! I had her running back and forth doing naughty deeds and enjoyed every minute. I got a bright red BB unit droid, and gave it the entirely goofy name of BB-BAYBEE, because I liked all those 'b's in a row. My lightsaber is green.
I was a little worried at first, the world seems a bit empty with no buildings to enter and no building. But even as I thought that, I was looking around and was just blown away by the visuals. Everything looks so GREAT! The detail is amazing. The music is fun, and once I started to do the quests I had a blast and just enjoyed it for what it is -- a quest-driven game in a SW setting.
Whenever the bills had to be paid back home I'd take her back to level up in skills. Everything went well till I had to get some smuggler info from the holo table in the First Order locked room. Let me tell you, it is not a good idea to send one's droid into the room to zap the soldier who kept marching around the table without going in with it yourself. I stood outside and watched in horror as my poor little scarlet BAYBEE short circuited and just sat sizzling right in front of the window. I hadn't realized that I couldn't get to her/him/it? because I wasn't high enough in the FO to get into the room - I had just wanted the soldier knocked out so I could sneak in. I couldn't stand leaving my poor droid there to suffer so I quit the game and went back to my former save. I lost quite a bit of progress but it was worth it to save my BB-BAYBEE. After a couple more tries at the challenge (without short circuiting the droid this time!) I figured out that I had to quit the challenge and take on a few missions for the FO till I got up to level 2. Then I started the challenge again and brought it to a successful conclusion.
I've gotten her to the top of the Smuggler profession. I'm thinking I'll go on and let her do the First Order tasks to get leveled up in that. Eventually I'll send her to University to study Robotics, cause I want a Servo. I'm not sure what career to send her off on, I am tempted to make her a criminal.

Maybe? I got them from Savi's, so figured they ought to be OK. I figured out how to make sure everyone got their proper colors though, so that's all good. After this, it'll be assembling them lightsabers from parts for the ickle younglings and padawans.

I’m doing this at such a snail pace... I’m enjoying it immensely but my scoundrel is only at rank 3 and I downloaded the game a week ago! 😂
I finished one resistance introduction mission with my Lady Jedi to be but that’s it. I haven’t even touched on First Order.
My play time is limited, still though. I always get excited when someone posts about a mission I haven’t done yet.
My sim should stop spending so much time in the Cantina and get down to more serious business!
But the Cantina is such a fun place! Hondo is there. He's lovable in a rascally sort of way. And he's really not as much 'scum and villainy' as he pretends to be (I was watching the story arc with the younglings last night and he was a real softee with Katooni)
It's a hilarious what-if, but could you imagine what would happen if it had been Hondo in the Mos Eisley Cantina instead of Han and Chewie? I'd almost feel sorry for Kenobi at that point, but it would be comedic gold to watch.
