Parenthood Pack Challenge

As the title suggests, this challenge requires the parent hood pack! The challenge is a mix of an ISBI and Adoptacy challenge. You will make a single starter sim who will adopt children (from child age not toddler) and raise them to young adulthood, until he/she becomes an elder. This challenge is meant to be hard, so there are strict rules! If you decide to give the challenge a go, please share your progress, I'd love to see how you get on!

Getting Started
Create your single sim in cas. They should be:

Any Gender
Human
Young Adult
NOT made in story mode

You can choose aspiration and traits except kleptomaniac, but pick carefully. Traits may not be changed and aspirations can only be changed once one is completed in full. Read the rules before picking an aspiration as some will not be able to be completed.

Starting Lot

Pick your Lot carefully, you will not move from this lot for the entire challenge. Even more so, your sim may never use the travel screen except for a few listed exceptions. Your sim will be making money purely from collecting, gardening and fishing only, so you want a lot in an area with plenty of these things! You will also only have your starting funds to build your lot with so if you buy a very expensive empty lot, you wont have much left to build a house that can support 8 sims! You can buy an empty lot in any world.

Lot Traits

If you buy a lot that already has some lot traits, you may not change the lot traits until the next generation takes over. If there are no lot traits, you can pick any of your choice but they must not be changed, until the start of a new generation.

Seasons

If you have seasons, you must start your game in spring.

Gamplay
As soon as you are ready to start playing, pause your game and use the money cheat to set your funds to 0. Make sure ageing is set to normal and free will is set to high. You can turn off the NAP system if you have eco pack.

Your sim needs to earn 1000 simoleons to adopt a child. They can only make money in three ways (check rules for exceptions) any may never have a job. Those three ways are collecting in their area (no travelling remember) gardening and fishing in their area. They should keep adopting children until the household is full. When a child grows up from teen to young adult, they should be immediately moved out and another child adopted in their place as soon as possible.

You are never allowed to control any other sim than your current generation founder/heir. You cannot direct adopted children at any stage throughout their childhood and teenhood, full stop (see rules for exceptions). The goal of this challenge is to use your sim to influence adopted children to take care of them and score or lose points based on how well your sim does.

Rules
Mods and Cheats

No money cheats may be used at any time.
Mods that help prevent lags and crashing may be used.
Mods that affect any autonomy may not be used.
Mods that are purely for cosmetic or aesthetic purposes may be used.

Founder/Heir Specifics

Your founder or heirs taking over once young adults, may never have a job. They may only make money following the making money rules in the next section.

Your founder/heir may not get married or move anyone into their home. Only adopted children can become a part of the household.

Your founder/heir may never hire any services other than adopting children. No service sims allowed!

The heir can be chosen any way you like, once your founder/previous heir reaches elderhood. The heir can only be chosen from the adopted sims left in the household however, so moved out adopted sims are not eligible.

Once a new generation takes over, the previous heir must remain in the household, though they are now uncontrollable, until death and the grave should be kept on the lot.

Raising Adopted Sims

Adopted sims are NOT controllable until such time as they are young adults and need to be moved out, or have become a young adult and are taking over from the previous heir. There are a few exceptions. You may view their inventories at any time and may sell items from their inventories as long as it complies with the money making rules. You may use reset object on any sim that is glitched. You may drag school projects out onto the ground so that the influence child to do school project option appears, but you may not direct the child sim to do the project. You may direct a teen sim to get a job. You may direct a young adult sim to move them out. You may choose what they do in school or work.

All adopted sims should be children, not toddlers or babies.

Whenever an adopted sim ages up, you may not choose their traits, you must use the randomiser in game. You can however choose their aspiration.

Making Money

Your sim is free to collect anything they can find in their lot area.

Your sim may not abuse breeding frogs to make money. They may keep two single frogs in their inventory and breed them as much as they like, but they must never have more than two frogs to breed with and you should sell the offspring as soon as it appears. For example, you have a a whirly frog and a leaf frog. You breed them and get a whirly leaf frog. You can sell any of the three of them, as long as you never have more than two frogs in your inventory at any time. You are free to swap what frogs the two are to make more money from a breeding pair.

Your sim can make money from gardening, but they may not buy seeds. They must collect gardening produce in their lot area and plant what they collect, however your sim can only have ONE of each type of fruit/veg/flower/herb in their garden. For example, you cannot have 4 lily plants, 6 rose plants and 3 snapdragon plants, you can have one lily plant, one rose plant, one snapdragon plant.

If you have seasons, using seed packets from the gnomes is allowed but the above rule of one of each type of fruit/veg/flower/herb in your garden still applies any extras can be sold.

Your sim can fish and sell what they catch freely.

If you have seasons, your sim can sell gnomes from Harvestfest. For Winterfest your sim can only have the household open presents ONCE throughout the holiday. You may sell any of the presents your sims receive. Your controllable sim may ask father winter for a present but they may not sneak any presents. Your controllable sim is also free to check the mailbox for any Winterfest gifts. Your sims may not buy a lottery ticket. Your sims may sell collectables from lightening strikes on their lot.

If you have eco expansion pack, your sim cannot make money from dumpster diving.

Once your children age up to teens, you can direct them once to get them a job and you can keep the money they make.

Any other possible way of making money, that isn't covered in these rules, is NOT allowed.

Spending Money

Your sim is not allowed to spend any simoleons other than on bills and cooking meals, until they have a full house of adopted children. To put it simpler, your sim may only spend money when they have a full household, at ALL times. For example, your sim has adopted 6 children and you want to buy a toy for the kids to play with. You can't buy that toy, until you have adopted another 2 children and have a full house. Another example, one of your adopted sims has aged up to young adult and you have moved them out. You want to buy a bookcase for the house. You cannot buy the bookcase until you have adopted another sim and have a full house again.

You can only sell an upgradeable object and replace it with a better quality object, if all upgrades have been done on the object first. For example, you have the cheapest stove and want to buy a better quality one. Your sim needs to complete ALL upgrades on the cheapest stove, before they can sell it and buy a better quality one. Same with beds, sinks, baths, showers, tv's computers and anything else with an upgrade option. If you have eco life, you can ignore the upgrades that use eco parts.

You may not buy or craft any items that directly affect sim emotions. If your sim happens to collect, fish or be gifted an item with a mood effect it is fine to use it, but not to buy and place.

Satisfaction Rewards

You can spend your satisfaction points of your current founder/heir only.

You cannot buy any potions.

You cannot buy any reward that gives you money, such as inheritance or money tree.

End Game
I dont have a set end goal in mind, however a few suggestions. The challenge could end once you have adopted 100 children across the generations. Or once you have completed the mansion baron aspiration. Or once you hit 5,7 or 10 generations. Or once you get bored!
