Gen 3 is done!! Dove topped her career and finished four aspirations but didn't end up mastering the vet skill. Holly reached Level 8 Floral Designer and almost finished her Freelance Botanist aspiration, I just couldn't get enough plants evolved to perfect. All the kids were a reasonably good mix of genetics, which was good. I'll post the comparisons with their parents in the next post, along with a tour of the gen 4 house.

Thank you! Now that gen 5 are children, the upstairs bedrooms have been done, mainly using DHD furniture. I’m really proud of myself for my decorating skills now. I’ve just done the gen 5 house - I did originally do one plan and I liked it but I couldn’t get a roof I liked and it ended up too modern, so I did the other build and loved it! I have also been on a cc download spree, finding decor for bathrooms, pantry and hallways, as well as some carpets and wall murals. I think I’ve spent hours decorating the house and decided I still need some more decor that can go on shelving, like in kids rooms. I may also need some laundry stuff because I always have to leave that room out because I don’t own the Laundry Day pack.
I’m aiming to get the Spa Day/Get Together/Movie Hangout pack while the discounts are on. There is still a couple of stuff packs that I might want - Backyard Stuff, Laundry Day - but I’ve got to wait for some more EP and GPs that I want to be released so I can bundle them 😆

Just when I thought Leo and Iza were only having one kid they surprised me and Iza turned out to be pregnant. I decided not to look just in case there were multiples but the suspense was absolutely killing me.
Leo was very thrilled to hear the news at least so that was a relief ♥
Their little guy Chadwick turned into quite the handsome little fellow while the family prepped for the new arrival
And poor Iza learned that she would need to take it easy during this pregnancy, not even yoga would be an option. It was rough
They eventually welcomed their daughter Kendall into the world (and this is when things took a turn). Soon after baby Kendall was born her grandparents both passed away within days of each other. Her parents aged up to elders and almost died too. I was so busy trying to play damage control that I forgot to get pictures of it all. Needless to say big brother Chadwick saved the day and the apartment.
Which then revealed I had my aging settings all wonky through MC Command center. It was a mess
After taking some time to fix my settings I came back to another round of age ups. By this point I just decided to go with it and now Kendall and her brother are young adults, their parents are elders.
I managed to turn off aging so I could slip everyone a few potions to reset their lifespans to hopefully correct my little oopsie! Hopefully its all resolved now lol. This weekend I plan to have a house tour and possibly a mini update for the kids.

The day after the wedding, Nellie, child-hating Beatrice and cousin Olivia all got pregnant! Beatrice's boyfriend is Hugh Paulson, her fiancee, Olivia's boyfriend is some random townie, and Nellie's boyfriend is Connor Zimmer, who is some relation of @OJenn's Hayden Zimmer that I added way back at the end of Gen 1! So there's going to be a few additions to the family tree in the coming week!
As it stands where I'm actually up to in the game, these are the statistics for each generation:
Gen 2: 3 (2 girls and 1 boy)
Gen 3: 8 (4 girls and 4 boys)
Gen 4: 19 (10 girls and 9 boys)
Gen 5: 8 (3 girls and 5 boys)
Pretty even split considering most of those are NPC families

@Army008 Your story about the Collins brothers saving the town was so sweet. It was so nice to see them come together and then end up marrying people who helped them. I love that they had a boy and a girl and of course Lilly will love the children in her own family
@MayaRose1138 I love your picture wall, and the family photos. All the skiing pictures were fun. I can't remember who I had originally been hoping for as heir, but all 4 kids look great.

Oh gosh the bowling pictures were great! Mabel looked so cute in that dress. I love it. OH! I see Mabel was chosen as heir in the most fitting manner! Excellent decision!! It looks like they had a good time on their vacation. OMG cross stitch?! It's so cute!! I really hate it when so many members of the family all die so closely together. It's hard to avoid though.
Awww the proposal was sweet and final family photo made me feel a little sad! OH haha I thought Arthur had proposed to Miranda just before they got in the shower. Ooops! The actual proposal was sweeter
Waffle is so cute! I love seeing the two kittens together. I have not gotten one of those small pets yet. I really should at least once. I was happy to see Cohen propose and a little bit of her doctor career. I think my current sim is going to be a doctor too...but I can't even remember his name right now!

@OJenn How many times have I updated townies? Man I wish I could figure out MCC Command center enough for it to keep them inline. I have a feeling it could but I just don't have the inclination to want to figure it out! At least we know we're not alone in the desire for our townies to look good. Oooo! Iza Price. I love her! Hooray for graduation! I can't wait to see what's next

OH @OJenn I was just reading that your husband works retail. That poor man. I hope he survived the holidays! Interior Design sounds like a fun career! Mostly cause it's different I guess. Aww I love they have a little one on the way...why was my immediate reaction to type "little ones" I amended it even though I know I can't jinx you at this point, I've been away too long! Oh gosh it's amazing to me that ghosts running the show at the hospital is still a thing. Aww a baby boy. Awesome

@Wentcrazy Even though I haven't been around, it was still so nice to see that you had come back. I hope you always feel like you can and that you will even if it's just to check in. I'm really glad you posted though. It was nice to see where everyone was in their relationships and it was so sweet to see how things played out. I can't wait to see what's next for Quinn and Soren.

I had to time that wedding really well
I am so going to run out of room for the family photos! I think there's around 30 now, and if I keep this going to gen 10, there'll be well over 100 most likely!! I felt so bad for Nellie and not getting her a romance but she's fine now, living the high life in San Myshuno
That dress is CC I found on TSR. I don't have as much clothing cc as I do in sims 3 but there are some cute things that suit teens/YAs that I've downloaded. Once I saw Mabel's face when she caught on fire, I just knew she had to be heir
Thank you re the house. I thought it's turned out the best so far. I was going for a more cottage feel with this house, so a lot of brown but that pink/green tiling (I think it's the kitchen/bathrooms you're talking about) worked in nicely too and suited the colour scheme well.
Cats/kittens are fun! I'm a cat person in real life so to have them in the game is more common than having a dog. The doctor career is highly annoying because of losing work performance if you get a diagnosis wrong but Mabel is up to level 7 now and she will have to do some surgeries... if my game isn't glitched like I've heard some people talk about with that career.
Mabel and Cohen were risky woohooing and I was hoping that a pregnancy wouldn't kick in until after Mabel had done a few days at the hospital but no such luck

Chapter 38: A Recap
Since I’ve been gone so long, I figured I owed all of you a recap on where we are in my story. This is going to help me as well!
Finley Emerson is the current heir. He was one of 3 boys – triplets of course.
In high school, he dated a girl named Piper Sollitto. He thought he was in love, but she was very hot and cold with him and then one day she just announced she was getting married to someone else.
She continued to call him after that, but he always ignored her calls. Marriage was a deal breaker.
Eventually he moved out to go to college. He opted to get a small apartment off campus that his Uncle David helped him get.
He spent a lot of his time in the mountains as his neighbors were very loud. One day he discovered who that neighbor was.
Just another reason to push for extreme sports goals. She was always calling, always knocking on the doors and even following him to the gym.
But then one day, his aunt Megan introduced him to Charlotte. They really hit it off and started spending a lot of time together.
One day, close to graduation, Charlotte had some unexpected news.
They went on a trip to his mountains, and he let her know she was the most important thing in his life.
He graduated, achieved his extreme sports goals and welcomed his own set of triplets into the world and of course, made that final step.
This is where we left off, but there was just one little problem. There was no way the triplets were going to fit into Finley’s apartment and Charlotte had a special wedding present for Finley. There’s another nooboo on the way. He didn’t want to give up his apartment, but he agreed that the kids needed more room and Charlotte’s home had more room.
Finley didn’t know what to do so he wrote to his Uncle David who had helped him get the apartment in the first place. He was hoping maybe David could help him, so he didn’t lose the apartment. He still wanted to make a difference in Evergreen Harbor, and it was close to his hospital! Of course, there was the issue of Piper living nearby and always calling him though and he told David that in his letter as well. David had finally moved back to Monte Vista, but when he received Finley’s letter, he made arrangements to return immediately.
When he was going up the elevator, he could hear people fighting. He recognized Piper’s voice. When the elevator opened they pretended nothing was going on. Piper was stunned to see David. He greeted her coldly and she pretended she had no idea who he was as she got in the elevator and left.
He went into the apartment to see just how bad it was. He was considering buying the apartment next door to expand into, or maybe he could go up another floor. Something here wasn’t right though and he was drawn to the apartment next door.
He knew Piper had had children and he had a sudden urge to see them for himself. The door was unlocked, and the two young children were home alone. David was able to win them over easily. He was annoyed by the condition of the apartment and both kids were starving. The boy looked a lot like his mother, but David felt there was no denying the girl belonged to Finley.
David waited for their parents to get home so he could confront Piper. Her husband was furious that he would suggest that his children didn’t belong to him.
David stated what he felt was obvious and sent Piper over the edge. Her husband was devastated.
Piper stuck to her story refusing to admit what David knew was the truth. Her husband though was beside himself.
Piper told David to get out of her house and to leave her family alone. He was so angry but he calmly agreed and told her they’d be neighbors soon as he was planning to sublet Finley’s apartment.
Meanwhile, Finley was obliviously beginning his career at the local hospital.

Yes 😊. I have been following the threads with interest to see what exactly is involved. At the moment, there’s a good number of lots (enough to make Tartosa a 5-gen world for this challenge!), 5 different wedding venues, and more things you can do at a wedding! Still no attraction system though, apparently 😒. I can see that maybe coming in as a base game update in the future though.
My gen 5 heir is a teen who has just met their future spouse, so I guess I know who the first wedding will involve when I eventually get the pack! I’m not going to buy it straight away (the only pack I’ve paid full price for was Cottage Living) but I’ll wait and see how other players are finding it when it’s released. I may end up getting it without waiting for a sale!
@Ojenn - the house is looking good! It looks like you’ll have plenty of room in for the next generation!
@debjameswhite - wow, another set of triplets! Are they all boys too? Living in an apartment must be so crowded!! And Piper had a child with Finley and didn’t tell him - how rude! I wonder if the daughter will end up living with Finley too? 🤣
