Can't potty train

I can get the toddler on the potty but within seconds it cancels. It's happened on 2 different families now both new saves since the pack released.
It's handy if I need my sim to do something else but it's making potty training take so long.

Since the patch I have also been unable to potty train or use the toddler blocks with my sims. There is an open report on EA answer, so others are having the same issue.
