      Seriously though, I agree bees are quite of the prominent role in the ecosystem. After all they are why we see flowers around.

      Weird, I recently updated 2 bee hive themed lots, partly because they are intended to be ecology minded, partly because one of them is the home for a lesbian couple (the B's) I was playing for Pride Month. Now I find out that The Sims has adopted a bee, and their hosting virtual pride, somehow making me accidentally on trend.

      This is really cute and all, but honey bees need our help as much as cattle. Which is to say: they don't. Native bee species are suffering, and honey bees actually contribute to that. Honey bees are a domesticated species that only exist for us to exploit for honey. They will never need help as long as we want honey.
