Just discovered this last night in my game, but did you know you can upgrade most of your water-consuming equipment with a recycler, and that you can upgrade most of your electronic devices (including fridges, stoves, television, laptops, ...) to run on fuel? The benefit of running them on fuel is that you can either use pieces OR bio-fuel collected from insects to power them, and that you can use your equipment without any electricity at all! That's one other use for bio-fuel besides generators

Oh that is very good to know. Do you know if this recycler upgrade fulfills recycler sims need to recycle or do they still need to manually recycle various items?

Unfortunately I don't know, I found the recycling trait too annoying so I removed it My sim couldn't afford a recycler at the time and him being an off-the-grid island person, it felt wrong for him to constantly travel to the city or suburbs to use one xD Maybe someone else will be able to let us know!
In order to get the meat wall you have to get to level 5 of the civil designer career title "green technician"
Even though other townies that don't live in your neighborhood can't vote on what can be in community spaces, they can absolutely invade them once something is created and put down; I have too many townies from other worlds and Not in World invading my community space in Forgotten Hollow. I can't get to anything or use any of the items I put down because another Sim is always on something or left items unfinished on them. (some people have the opposite problem where nobody comes to visit the community spaces)
You can copy the same building for each type of community space so even if the space gets voted into something new you wont have to worry about the layout changing/the items being different if you don't what it to change no matter what type of space it is
If your having difficulty being off grid getting electricity/gathering water and putting ice in the fridge choose the geothermal or natural well to help you out permanently or temporarily till you get a surplus of that resource
My frugal sim found a plantable UFO (Unidentified Fruit Object) in the dumpster About to plant it now.
Sorry I just realized this fruit isn't new, but it can be found in a dumpster (there's that, I guess) and I'm wondering if it can be turned into an unusual fizzy drink. Also, note to self: it's time to start working on a Sulani Community Space.
Don't remember anyone else posting this but Malcolm Landgrabb keeps phoning me about squirrels. :D
Basically, he tells me they need to repair the electrics as squirrels have damaged them and are we prepared. I answer "Of course". To which he replies that it is only a test and I am getting a discount with my next bill.
Cereal is one of the off the grid meals that doesn't work without power 😋
You can get it if you buy the cooler from Outdoor Retreat.
Also, for people who want trashy neighborhoods, do not try to implement the Green Initiative Neighborhood Action Plan. It will get rid of all the trash in about one day, and take your Port Promise to Neutral in a week.
And if you want to do Rags to Riches, be wary of the Freegan trait. If you want to get to riches quickly, it's great, but if you want your Sim to stay poor a while, pick something else. One thing it does is give you expensive things when you go dumpster diving. My Sim picked up a $14,000 Schmapple refrigerator.

I love the cooler from Outdoor Retreat! It's also off the grid so it technically doesn't need power to work I just thought it was interesting that cereal needed power from the fridge lol xD
i love the coolers. even if i can't seem to figure out how they work with island living. i can never get any supply on the boat so my sim stay near shore. sorry i know its the wrong ep but i thought off it reading the comments here.
Interesting, I just started playing my households in Newcrest after having gone through a building spree (built the community space lot and a vet clinic) and my neighborhood already has the NAP set in place.

Guess it doesn't start blank in previous existing neighborhoods/worlds.?

i picked free love which led to a baby boom. that was evergreen harbor the other neighborhoods had generated their own.
My sim started a petition for repeal and got all 5 signatures but the action plan didn’t change when polls closed. Does it take time or am I supposed to do more with the signatures?
Hi guys I purchased the eco living expansion pack, have joined the civil designer career and currently under the title Urban Surveyor - when I work from home it gives me 2 tasks - check the community board and Submit a Municipal Concept, when hovering over this task with the mouse, it says I can submit this concept to innovative solutions Corp by clicking on the mail box, but the only options when I click my mail box are Vote on neighbourhood action plans, Get Mail and Show Bill info... Please help, I have googled for hours and yet can find absolutely NOTHING about submitting a concept... I have the option when socialising with other sims to 'Present Concept' but it doesn't let me select it and says "concepts must be owned and can only be presented once".... What on earth does all of this mean???!!
I forgot what skill it was but one of the skills that is a major part in this pack has to be a certain level i think 4 but i forgot what skill it was that i had to raise hope this helps lol

I know there is a time frame that you have to get it done by. I was trying to repeal one and I had 3 signatures but I didn't get them in before the current vote started so I was notified that it reset.

@royandjuliuhh@SophiesSims97 actually, it took me a while to figure this out, but there will be a tablet, specific to the civil designer career, in your inventory and you first need to create your concept on there before being able to submit it via post. Why they never tell you you get the tablet, idk, but it's there

I'm determined to figure out which buff belongs to which fizzy. I've just started but I figured out that Lemon Fizzy makes you Confident and Strawberries make you Flirty!

Without mods? They try for baby randomly too?
Interesting.
Wow I love this feature, if no mods are involved that is. I support anything that gives us story progression.

ETA: here's the image (I hadn't added it because I was lost in build mode )

A Rainbow is a promise of God
I could be wrong but I think that's a Evergreen Harbor exclusive effect. I want to be wrong though cause it's pretty well made.

This was changed via the pre patch but also yay! A much welcome change 😋
