I started a new Legacy today. Bare bones, tent, outdoor cooking, no plumbing amenities.

My sim died in a fire the first time she tried to cook on the grill, and I nearly died laughing at her.

I decided to roll with it, so saved and created a new matriarch, because that little sim was UNLUCKY-let's not pass that on.

I'm still giggling. I'm a very bad watcher.

Dina Caliente got turned into a vampire. I decided to explore Windenburg nightlife with her.

She also got thirsty at some point.

I deleted two unwanted babies. Their mother never really wanted kids at all, but as her husband is family-oriented, she agreed to have one after a birth-control failure. The twins were another accident (I have since then changed her settings in cas to avoid further troubles). As their firstborn will soon age up to a child, I quite frankly could not be bothered to go through the infant and toddler stage again, escpecially since I can't stand the mother and want to spend as little time with her as possible. She is yet to do anything to warrant divorce, earns good money and since her family does love her, I have to keep her around for now.

As I did mention in the "Random comments and Questions" thread I did get inspired to create a wedding venue using Base game objects (video by lilsimsie on Youtube). It turned out OK, I think. for a first try at least. The picture is from Build mode and very bright. Under the tree in the center of the picture I did place a table for the cake and a dinning table.

I did send the bride to be to check it out. The first sim that spawned on the lot was this lady. Nope, she is not goint to a wedding, she always look like that. :) (And she is the girlfriend of Johnny Zest... the lucky one). And her name is Mi Amore! :o

Laenor hired a nice elderly lady as a new chief at his restaurant, but who showed up instead was Greg the Werewolf. My first thought was that maybe he ate her, but she showed up as a client instead. So far, Greg has been better behaved than some of the customers, so I am letting him stay for now. Vampires are banned from restaurants, so hopefully he won't find a need to fight anyone.

Hey gang! Sorry to be neglecting everyone. I guess I haven't posted for a while. It's been ages since I have had migraine headaches, but I started having them again a few months ago. Playing my games made them worse, so I had to take a break. They've finally eased up, so I'm trying to get back into some gameplay. I checked into the forums for news and dropped into the game some just to keep it maintained but couldn't really follow up on any storylines or even get a chance to play my new expansions.

Anyway, today I got into it and took stock of what's going on. Hopefully I can get back into some real gameplay.

    Some things never change...
    G4lHPJU.png

And some things really do. Seems Neighborhood Stories killed off the Fengs and adopted out their baby.
    gwFoXyt.png

Yep. Vlad adopted a nooboo. I did not see this one coming.

Speaking of Neighborhood Stories, it pretty much emptied out San Myshuno. So, one of my first real days in the game, I plan to move Penny Pizzaz, Diego Lobo, and some of the others back in. No urban blight in my game!

And finally, here's Morgyn and Smudge.... cause it's been a while.
    PNpeILE.png

Hope to be around more, now.

Hi @cyncie , sorry about the migraines, they are the worst.
Your characters look pleasantly strange as always. Looking forward to reading more about their adventures whenever you feel like it.

Jamison, who is now a Child Sim, is having a very difficult family dynamic with his younger twin sisters, Melodie and Harmony. Their father caught him being mean to Harmony, and also witnessed Harmony's less than loving response to her older brother. Erik abruptly stepped in, scolded Harmony for kicking her brother in the shin and then gave her a lesson on saying sorry. This wasn't good enough for Jamison however, who got entirely too sassy in his response to Erik. This forced Erik to put the lad in Time Out. Grumbling all the way about how unfair it was, Erik pointed out that he heard what Jamison had said to his sister and that he expected more out of the older sibling. Hearing what his firstborn had to say, Erik bought a Tree House kit and the two worked on it together for some bonding time. That Sunday Erik won his 15th Best Song Accolade. Bryanti Cho tried to rub it into Erik, when she won her fourth. Jamison noticed this, too watching the exchange on TV. Erik used this as a Teachable Moment. Erik pointed out to his son that not everything in life was a competition.

Nice update @cyncie. Take care of yourself. Try not to play the game while tired, if you can. Migraines are no fun at all.

I tried building a house, but as it happens 99% of the time (over the years, I have built maybe 2 or 3 houses I am pleased with), I messed up halfway through and it turned out horrible. A part of it might be salvageable, but the rest needs to be done over from the ground

Wow! I left the Sims for a while after requesting werewolves, prom and generations and came back to all three lol guess patience is a virtue!

So I am loving the werewolves pack and Greg was the highlight of my welcome back game!

Still playing as a detective who has a job that's not normal at all when ever I play it. My boss likes to sing and shower nude in the rain and half of my co-workers have the insane trait. Anyways so I met Greg and it didn't go well. He didn't hurt my Sim and she ran away. Next day I had to go to Strangerville's library to arrest a elderly suspect with grey hair. I try not to add too many clues to make the search more interesting.

What do I see? Greg in his lovely wolf form playing videos games on the computer, howling and scaring everyone! I was so panicked that I arrested poor Camille Soto instead of the usual random townie. Dominique works at the police station, but luckily is was her day off or I missed her shift. After that blunder I had to do it again and they bring back the exact same suspects for a second try, so I ran for the townie and arrested him just as Greg saw me and was getting ready to pounce.

    This is so much fun!

Thank you. And, I think I’m gonna use “pleasantly strange” as my personal motto!

Thanks for the advice. I’m not sure why these headaches triggered again after so many years. I’ve been struggling to get my health back after the stress of working in healthcare during the pandemic, so I guess it’s all just a part of the imbalance. Unfortunately, I’ve lost track of my story threads now. Here’s hoping some play time will give me some inspiration.

My newest Sim, Ersa Middleton, another vampire, got married to Katrina recently. They hit it off almost immediately, so I said why not. I wasn't even going for a Woman x Woman relationship this time around but whatever.

We're at a bar when I decided to try out Alluring Visage on Ersa. Big mistake as literally everyone tried to flirt with her and this 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 off Katrina to almost no end. I took them both to the Forgotten Hollow(?) as no one else would be around(I also didn't know how to turn off Alluring Visage), and spent like 3 game hours trying to calm Katrina down lol.

I have had to remove the part that went wrong and just try and try again until I got it right. To me, that's part of the process of learning to build. Buck up, if you're determined, you'll manage. :)

@cyncie That happened to me, too, a few years back. What was supposed to be a weekend trip, ended up, for me being hospitalized and near death. Two more weeks in Rehab and when I finally got back home, I looked, briefly, at my Sims3 game. I was in the midst of Pinstar's Legacy Challenge. I couldn't make heads or tails out of it. So, I just deleted it. I can't recall if I tried it again or not. Sometimes that fresh start is what we need. Take care and I hope you find yourself on the other side of your health issues. I'm mostly better.

Jamison originally did something mean autonomously. I got a pop up suggesting a new family dynamic was available. Difficult. I accepted it and now I'm almost sorry I did. Jamison has become a hateful brat. I had to play through his mean antics for another gaming session. Erik and Kayleigh both spoke to him during the same intervention session, if you will. The parents came home from the Starlight Accolades Show award in hand, with the other children and Jamison started up his tirade yet again. The parents weren't the only ones who grew tired of this nonsense. Autonomously Harmony stood up to their older brother and gave him the what for. The parents interceded and finally found the Child's Achilles heel. Erik told his son if he continued being mean and hateful toward his little twin sisters, he was going to take down the tree house they just built. This got to Jamison as he loves playing on it. With help, he was able to say he was sorry to Melodie and admit that she was none of the things he called her and went on to actually say something nice to her. Erik said his behavior had to also include Harmony and that if all three of them continued their efforts he wouldn't tear down the tree house. Phew! Let's hope both the parents and I catch a break on this. LOL

Built a grave/shrine/memorial. There's some symbolic features to it in regards to my sim but I'll save that for later(shoot I better write it down before I forget).

Just another completely normal day. A rampaging werewolf broke in while Emmanuel was alone at home with his infant daughters and headed straight to the nursery. nWnkM2y.png
Being a good father, Emmanuel teleported away as fast as he could, leaving the babies behind. Mke52CE.png
Luckily for everyone involved, all she wanted to do was to growl at the stuffed bear, after which she ran back out, before I could decide whether or not I should have Jolene (Emmanuel´s wife, who was out fishing) do anything about the uninvited guest.

@AngeliqueAdelaide Wow, guess Emmanuel was out for the Best Father of the Week award. :open_mouth: And that's the difference, folks, between the male and female mindset. The female would scramble to get the wee ones to safety, but the male, in this case, would run for his own life. ROFL What a day of gaming you had!

True. Fortunately it happened so fast that the infants did not even notice the werewolf, so they weren't traumatized. Before today, I was under the opinion that werewolves will go crazy at full moon nights, not mornings, but I guess not. The werewolf in guestion is usually a well behaved and hardworking young lady - she is a waitress at Laenor's restaurant - even if she occasionally howls at clients and I am yet to see her in human form, so I am letting it slide as an one-time mistake.
As for Emmanuel, he lost his teleporting privileges and I locked the gate to keep him from running off to swim at sea whenever he pleases. He has a pool, bath and a shower at home, so he will not get dehydrated just because he can't swim at sea anymore. His punishment was partly for the sake of Jolene, who has been trying to spend time with him, only for him to run off to swim before she gets there

So far, I've been playing my game. Nothing extraordinary has happened. Sometimes, it does take a few gaming sessions before the story presents itself. I will report back at a later time, when I have more to say on the matter. Thank you for your indulgence. :)

I aged up Estelle and Mirabel (the infants from my yesterday's post) after four days instead of two weeks or even longer, as I usually do, because they were the world's most boring infants. They did nothing, wanted nothing, and would mostly just sit around like pretty dolls, waiting for their parents to interract with them. It was so boring seeing them that they actually made me miss Beau's little demons who would scream bloody murder whenever something slightly inconviniences them or sometimes just because they feel like doing so. So as soon as Jo finished their baby portraits, it was time for cake.
