I downloaded some custom sims to hopefully freshen up the dating pool a bit. As they were wearing some clothes from packs I don't own, I spent some time at cas to make sure that everyone has their pants on, since there are children around, before releasing them into the wild.
I had intended for my current family to stop at 3 kids (1 boy, 2 twin girls, currently toddlers) because that's how many spare bedrooms they had, lol. But they both got a wish to have another one and I thought "well, one more won't hurt". So of course she's pregnant with triplets. So many renovations to do. Thankfully they'll all be children by the time the trips arrive. Still not looking forward to 3 infants at once though
Thought I should do an update. My entire game appeared totally glitched, so I deleted it, entirely. Good news is, I made another copy of the backup and was able to start where I'd left off on the Saturday (RL) before Infants dropped. Yesterday, Erik and Kayleigh got married. Wasn't the smoothest version of their wedding, but the deed is done. They also slow danced at the reception, yay. All-in-all, I am happy enough to just move forward from here. I sent them to Sulani, again, only this time Erik rented an entire Resort (that I found on the Gallery and placed on the 50 X 50 empty lot). They, of course, are the only guests. However, as Kayleigh puts it, "Erik has unstoppable fame, so it's only natural that the Paparazzi and his Fans are also unstoppable." They were able to have a wedding night, unlike before when they flat out gave up and went home. Joey finally sought a job and is now a General Practitioner. Aaron just joined a professional team. Nice to realize they went to work, while Erik and Kayleigh are away, but that's how it goes when only some of the family is on vacation. On advice from others, I will be certain to remove the cc crib from my game, to hopefully avoid the dragging of the infant between the caregiver's feet I ran into. Oi! I just want to play my game. I had such fun with the first Infant, too. I am in the process of slowly introducing mods back into the game. I had no idea cc cribs were even a problem.
A few things have happened since my last update. I started a new save…actually two. I still play my “legacy” save but I’m itching to start my rotational play. Just waiting for a patch for the milestones and tried foods bugs. Currently playing the scenario with Farrah Nouvel. She’s dating Makoa Kealoha after he divorced Lilliana. Makoa’s daughter is currently staying the weekend with him and Farrah. I will make this a weekly thing. She will also spend most holidays with them. My other save was supposed to be the rotational save full of sims made by me but I decided to hold off due to possibly creating a buggy save.
I wanted to rotate households to age up some babies, but it appears that I have picked up a bug from somewhere, since more often than not, my babies would age up to invisible infants and their households wouldn't load properly. I removed some of the mods I read my be the cause, but it's still happening and I ran out of patience to do more testing for now.
So I am sticking to Beau and his little monsters. I feared that Kenna (the only child currently living with him) may feel lonely, so I borrowed his little sister Amelie to keep her company. Amelie needed some interference anyway to help her max her toddler skills so she could age up together with her only few days older brothers, so it's a win-win.
For the first time, I've had a Sim I was playing, Sofia Bjergsen, win the lottery! It was such a surprise. First I saw that I'd gotten the Rosebud Achievement, and then I looked down and saw that a 1 and a few 0's had been added to household income. She, her husband Bob Pancakes, and their two children - Vincent, toddler, and Anissa, infant - have moved to Hounds Head in Brindleton Bay. I was going to move them to San Sequoia, but the only available houses were too small.
Wasn't today because I needed a couple of days break from intense Sims playing, but a few things have happened, starting with me finally moving Sylas Gilbert out the family home! He has a life of his own now, enrolled in university and got accepted, he and Luke had a woohoo moment for the first time, but that exact night one of his dads, Joshua, came round with a dirty Bouncer. Why?! Really bad timing!
I'll eventually get round to redecorating their little bungalow.
Meanwhile... (pic heavy because I like taking and sharing pics)
His twin sister Jodie got married!
What a handsome groom Jonathan makes!
Luckily Jodie had met the boyfriend already so Luke could be invited too.
Hugs with baby brother!
Wren looking proud of her big sis.
Sylas may be in university now but...
Y'know at any event, there are people congregating in the toilets...
Brodie decided to play guitar for everyone.
Because it was a winter wedding, they obviously had to make a snowpal.
Joshua, being the unimaginable loveable dad he is, started cleaning up the bar! He's so adorable!
Then they left their wedding, not in a horse and carriage, not in an classic car... but on their bikes lol. Love it.
When they got home, even though it was only their wedding night, I had them try for a baby and it worked first time. Yay!
(I'm planning for them to have a holiday with her family as a kind of late honeymoon, and the Gilberts could do with another holiday.)
As a treat, and because they're gonna need the room, I decided to redesign their tiny bungalow to something more homely.
In other news lately...
Jodie and Jonathan's cowplant is growing well. I love the little pile of snow on its head! Cute!
Jesse moved into his big brother's old room.
He discovered trees are big.
He discussed the finer details of why snow is cold with Bouncer. Tegan found it boring.
Was told all about catering by his daddy Joshua.
And had some tasty nummies.
Bouncer and Brodie had a race in the pool.
Brodie wasn't falling for Wren's tricks.
And she wasn't falling for his.
How clothing see Tegan.
I've got my Sims to do a lot of gardening recently. It's fun for me too.
Joshua made a snowpal... or a demon, idk.
Proud of his food.
Tegan holding an important meeting.
And most importantly, more doggy time!

Can't decide whether Maxwell is bugged, dumb, or it's the result of the flu he's going through, because it looks like he can't his not-identical triplets apart. I ask him to put one infant to high chair or crib, he frequently picks up another one instead. Well at least the triplets seem to have inherited the inhuman nature of their biological mother, as only one of them really cares about food and none has yet to have needed their diapers changed. So they are likely to survive the life with their well-meaning, but slightly inadept father
This morning, I opened my screenshots folder to look for pictures of Beau, Rosaline, Iris, Maxwell and Felice as children to post here. 5 hours later, I am now way down the memory line, back when the first four were toddlers and Felice (currently a teen) hadn't even been born yet. Perhaps I should start right from the beginning to explain how their current, mildly dysfunctional and non-traditional family came to be.
Finding it hard to play sims atm with real life issues but did some work on Strangerville scientists and made a conspiracy theorist. This pack makes so many townies! So far I’m enjoying the pack.
Had to do a game repair as once again things weren't quite working correctly. (Same mods as before so this is puzzling.) Sheesh, sometimes it's hard to be me. At any rate, I decided to roll back a little and picked up the game while my newlyweds were still on their Honeymoon. I allowed them to get pregnant on their third and last day away, as before. He still has his Seventh Best Song Accolade to receive, just so you'll have a sense of where things are. Didn't get much time to play over this past weekend. It was Pascha (Easter) for those of us who belong to the Eastern Church. I am currently recovering from the Midnight services. Lack of sleep and I just don't get along very well. Bad enough I have insomnia. Oh, well, not here to grouse. Kayleigh and Erik will be catching up to where I left off in the not-too-distant future. Yay. I am so looking forward to this baby!
Today, I played my scenario family, which has Clement Frost and my Sim Luna Moon. Last time I aged up their daughter Emma MoonFrost into a child. Luna was pregnant with their second child, and Clement started a job. Emma did fairly well in school. Luna doesn't have a job, because I plan to have her do painting or other things to get the money as well. Marrying Clement added half, but having Emma put them back to a little less than half. His job adds to their funds too, so it may be slower, but they are adding to the challenge amount again. They ended up having a son named Jack MoonFrost, and he is in the baby stage now. Those two will be the only kids until the challenge is complete.
On a new save, I created a Legend of Korra type save. Watched the last season with a friend so it's been on my mind.
So the families in the save are Mako and Bolin, and their neighbors Mako, Bolin, Korra, and Asami. They live in Mt. Komorebi. In San Myshuno I have Korra and Asami living in an apartment with a puppy Naga (Korra's polar bear dog), and their neighbor is Mako. Living in other apartmnts around the city are Mako, Bolin, Korra, Asami, Naga, and baby Pabu (Mako and Bolin's pet fire ferret). Finally the last family is Mako, Bolin, Korra, Asami, and adult Naga.
One of my Mt. Komorebi Mako Sims joined the Detective job, and it was his first day. When he had to file his report, all the computers were being used, so I had him kick off one of them to file it. The Sim he kicked off was a Detective Mako from San Myshuno. He also met his counterpart in Mt. Komorebi, and his brother's counterpart too. Not too much happened, but with my PC version of doing almost the same thing, I wanted to add more to my PS4 version. PC just has two families, while the PS4 has six families.
The first week was great, with only one of the triplets requiring regular feeding. But then Maxwell accidentally also fed the other two one too many times in his confusion, causing them to develop a taste for human food, so now they too expect to be fed on daily basis. Two weeks in, and still no diaper changes, though. I like the triplets way more as infants than as babies, because as babies, they were never happy and the new crying track (I swear that it must have been changed at some point, because it did not used to be so horrible) felt like a physical torture to me, but I got lucky when they aged up, because one rolled the calm and other two the sunny trait (Beau's infants were both wiggly, which wasn't that bad either, but they sure cried more).
Only thing that really annoys me is million "check infant '"s getting queued whenever they need something, my attempt to find a mod that helps to tame it have been fruitless so far
That's great. EA app wouldn't let me to play offline, so I had to update the game and now it wouldn't open at all. There are times when I really feel that I spend more time dealing with technical issues than playing. Back to building it is, once more, untill things get updated.

I feel your pain.
Thanks. Luckily, it appears that my suffering was short-lived, as I got my game to load. Turns out it wasn't even a broken mod, but rome random decorative objects I downloaded last night while insomniac that had been originally created more than five years ago and must've broken at some point between. Once I got rid of everything that hadn't been updated in last two years, my game seems to run fine, at least I am yet to find something being bugged that wasn't already bugged yesterday. This patch seems to have mostly about packs and issues I never had to begin with.
Good luck for you with your mods
Maxwell: AITA if I offer to resurrect my father's deceased siblings, but only if he agrees to divorce his evil, sociopathic wife from hell and go back to theraphy? I have never been allowed inside his house since his wife hates children and would attack one on sight. My father is family-oriented and took the deaths of his siblings very hard, but as he is evil and lacks emotional control, I have been reluctant to let him have a relationship with his grandchildren.
Kayleigh and Erik had a baby boy, Jamison. He's a demanding little newborn, whom his parents absolutely adore. He was close to his birthday, before I quit for the day (I placed the game on pause, leaned back in my desk chair and then was suddenly waking up!) I read a few emails to clean out my inbox and then got the proverbial second wind. When I went to launch my game, it said update. I moved my Mods folder and then updated the game. I also remembered to do a game repair, for a change. However, when I placed the Mods folder back in, I had to change the settings under Options to allow them to be activated. All was going well with this process, until in my tiredness I lost myself for a moment and hit save. So not necessary, since apply does the trick. This instantly borked that particular Save As. I rolled back to get behind the goof. Chose a Save As with the picture showing both Kayleigh and Brianna with hair. Yeah, they were each as bald as a billiard cue. Not only that, but by saving without the mods being recognized, Erik lost his albums, and his siblings lost their personal bank accounts. Boy, it's moments like this that makes me feel so inept. No matter, I was able to move forward with the rolled back save, and it's now early Thursday morning in my game. I hope to get through the Starlight Accolades Show today. If I do, I may be able to post something.
Made a scout club called the Grizzly Scouts and thanks to a mod I can have them gather at a rental summer camp in Granite Falls. The scout leader is a scientist and father of one of the scouts, but I gave him the Scouting Aptitude trait so it would make a little more sense for him to be there.
Fun fact: Angry bears don't make the best fishing mentors.
Now teens, the scouts and their leader Donald have assembled in Granite Falls to catch the last remaining days of autumn.
Also, to enjoy building their very first treehouse together.

Not too much game play today, more experimenting with my Sims genetics.
In my new Legend of Korra save on my PS4, I had one of my Korra's do a science baby option with a random Sim. Ended up not saving, because it wouldn't let me age up the newborn into a toddler, but it did give me an idea.
For one of the families, that just consisted of my Korra, Asami, Mako, and Bolin. I decided to edit in some teens for them. The pairings were Korra and Asami, and they ended up with a teen daughter I liked, and named Yue. Then I had Mako have a teen with both Asami and Korra. The daughter he had with Asami, I named after Asami's mother. The daughter Mako had with Korra was named after his mother.
Then I added a seventh family, which was Korra, Mako, and Bolin. I edited two teens for them. I gave Mako and Korra a teen daughter that was named after Mako and Bolin's mom, and then did a teen son with Bolin and Korra, which I named after Mako and Bolin's father.
I wanted to add more Sims, and wanted to check what possible looks for the kids that each character would have, and decided to keep the favorites of each experiment.
