Oh no now this happens and I can't figure out how to call the firemen :(((

If you have a fire alarm they are already called if not it's on the phone. I saw the fireman listed as an npc we can call.

Couldn't call :( Checked all over the phone but it wasn't there, not sure why. Maybe I need to check again. I'll have to remember to install fire alarms now, never did before as I found them useless lol. Thanks!

Mods, maybe? That's the only time I've had missing phone interactions.

Has anyone tried using a generator on an off the grid lot? It's not letting me use the cellphone or make fizzy drinks because 'electricity doesn't work on off the grid.' Yeah, but I'm using a generator and have surplus electricity. :/

You need to add fuel to the generator and turn it on. The fuel comes either from an insect box or bits and pieces. It will run out of power.

Yes, I added fuel and turned it on. That's how I got the surplus electricity. It just doesn't work for some reason.

Hi guys I purchased the eco living expansion pack, have joined the civil designer career and currently under the title Urban Surveyor - when I work from home it gives me 2 tasks - check the community board and Submit a Municipal Concept, when hovering over this task with the mouse, it says I can submit this concept to innovative solutions Corp by clicking on the mail box, but the only options when I click my mail box are Vote on neighbourhood action plans, Get Mail and Show Bill info... Please help, I have googled for hours and yet can find absolutely NOTHING about submitting a concept... I have the option when socialising with other sims to 'Present Concept' but it doesn't let me select it and says "concepts must be owned and can only be presented once".... What on earth does all of this mean???!!

Dunno the second time it just worked, maybe I've been playing the game for too many hours today and it just needs a break :joy:

I'm having a REAL hard time figuring that surplus energy stuff out! I feel like as soon as I get the "surplus energy" thing I also get "sorry all used up" a second later - turns out the darts consume energy lol. Go figure. You've put in fuel and all, I'm assuming? I really dunno, but I'd love to see what the answer is as I'm using one now too (but not off the grid), and am trying to figure out how store vs sell works.

Yeah, I added fuel. Since my sim is on a 'homeless' lot there's barely anything that needs power.

Basically, if your household uses less power than what's produced, you'll have surplus. That extra energy can either be sold for simoleons, or stored for future use. I choose to store it since I'm off the grid and can use it later. If you're trying to get surplus, maybe it'll help if you add more generators? I haven't needed extra generators, but that might solve your problem.

I figured out how some of it works by looking at the bill information:
    2XpJm5H.jpg
The +6.55 shows how much power is being produced daily, and the 19 is how much is saved up.
Also, if you're using Auto-sell, I assume the surplus is being sold immediately so that's why it tells you it's all used up.

This is the best Expansion pack so far in my view. I hope the sims 4 follows this path in the future.

It really is. It still needs a bunch of kinks worked out, but I'm having a blast regardless.

There are so many ways to play. Rugs to riches will be so much more fun. Try to pollute. Try to be eco friendly. Play to influence the neighbours. And the new careers and maker hobbies I still haven’t tried.

I agree. It's very refreshing. It also has a lot of overarching gameplay elements that adds a little more depth to the game.

She''ll probably be uploaded to the gallery. I thought she was in the game.

I'm so happy EA creators is giving such variety because I love CAS and truly enjoy Eco Lifestyle. Thanks @catloverplayer for the countdown as this always adds to the excitement and love of the game. Looking forward to the next one.

You're welcome. I really enjoy doing these and the next one will be Niffty Knitting once it's announced. Another one of my favorite hairs that comes with this pack.
