School Fees should be added into the game?!

Sims already have to pay University fees... but should they be able to pay for school fees.

I think that we should have school fees for teens and children added to the game. I also think that there are pros and cons to having school fees, but what do you think?

My preference would be yes but only if they add private schools. If public school has a fee my first generations of my legacies are in big trouble 😂

No, if it's for the current education system, but yes, if they give us a private/boarding school option or even homeschool. If the Sims can choose which Uni to enrol, they should be allowed to choose different type of school to start their education too.

I don't care for school fees, where I come from school education is free for everyone. Personally, I think school fees will impact negatively on sims with large families and many children. With university, it's easy because college sims are adults and can apply for loans, but for child sims, their parents will need to pay for the school fees. Maybe they should implement private schools for sims with money to spare as an alternative to standard school, and additional gameplay related to this like schmooze with the principal and other rich children and parents, charity drives, class history trips to Paris, culture trips to Disnyeland Japan and ski trips to Switzerland.

I don't think that school fees should be considered normal. Public schools should be free. I would be fine with fees if they added Boarding Schools in TS4 like in TS3 (came with Generations).
If I just posted an outfit you like, I have good news - there is more where that came from!

I believe that school should be free, just as it is in my country.

I'm going to have to go with Yes if we get Private schools, No for the current/public school setup.

Yes, there was a registration fee at our school. It could be waived if you were low income. It was also fairly low. ($20, US, I think?) The expensive part was the supply list that was half dedicated to kitting out the classroom because the school budget didn't allow for the classrooms to be properly stocked (but did allow for all the kids to have Macbooks...)

Not for public schools. It would be one thing if we were given more education opportunities like parochial schools, charter schools, home schools, private schools military school, reform school etc. Unless we are using mods all we have is a public school option for our sims.
Playtesting - not just tabletop games and card games any more. Really that should have been playtested in Beta and not

I don't think we should have school fees as the game currently stands but if there is a private school option, that offers kids some different education opportunities, such as learning actual skills whilst at school, then yes, definitely.

Public schools and universities are free where I live, so no paying for studying.

I'd love to be able to send them to a private school for a fee. I love how i was done in TS2 where you had to convince the director to accept your children at private school. Convincing the director could be optional to reduce the fee.

Mischievous sims could do some convincing of their own with some old school bribing and blackmailing.

I remember struggling to save for my daughter's school fees. I wouldn't want to put that on a poor sim.

It could be an OPTION. I am so thankful education is free in my country.

I think fees would be great but only if they add private schools and/boarding schools! I really think they're dropping the ball on the educational options. They could even add in the option to pay for your toddler to go to preschool few hours/days during the week to gain up their skills :)

When I'm still at high school, I need to pay the fee, not sure if it's still the same though.

I miss the private school option from previous iterations. Charge $5k, $10k, $20k a week! Need ways to unload money. It’s so flipping easy to be rich in this game.

Big yes on that one, mainly because Im always looking for ways for sims to offload some extra money. (We need some money sinks) I want my sim kids to go to expensive private schools.

I think we should have school fees mainly so we can enrol children in other schools. I would like if we could choose a school our kids could go to (just like Discover University). Also, private schools would be awesome.

I would rather have homeschooling where the parents pay for books, supplies, and projects. If it were boarding school then maybe.
