Collections vanish in list

I had 4 full collections done on my list (little icon diamond) I am trying to collect everything as I do a super sim challenge. When I moved my sim they all dropped down to zero. Seems a glitch happens when you move your sim your collection list resets to zero. It is like you have not collected anything. I don't want to keep it in my inventory since it causes more bill costs so I sell it after I find the collection but if I wish to keep it in my collection list I have to live on the same lot.
