Hey, guys!
Today, I found some cool little details from a new line of job postings on EA's website. All of them are dated 3/04/20. Two of them require a familiarity of The Sims 4/ the Sims franchise.
One of them was an opening for VFX design. Here are some tidbits:
"Experience creating advanced real-time visual effects out of a variety of building blocks including particles, static textures, animated textures, lights, post processing, materials, meshes and shaders."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but, wasn't a similar system implemented in TS3 to support CASt? Could CASt return in this unannounced title?
"Experience producing effects such as smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam, and explosions."
Hmm....
"Experience with run-time dynamic systems for physics-based animation, impact interactions, destruction, water, cloth & hair sim, etc."
Could this possibly indicate the inclusion of moving hair/clothing physics?
That's all. I'm looking forward to the next iteration! (:

I think we'll get hair/textile physics, and probably an improved CASt. But it could be any game, since they already stated that they'll release a new franchise too.
Why would they make decisions based on Paralives?
Because one person is making content that people want when a whole team and company isn’t....people clown on Paralives by who knows how big it could get.
