Pet Shelter Mod?

I had an idea of building an animal shelter but don't think there is a way to do this without mods. I did find one link to a mod while doing a Google search but am hesitant to try it. I have never used mods and want to be sure the link is from a legitimate source. Has anyone here successfully run an animal shelter in the Sims 4?
