Does Meaningful stories or Life tragedies work?

I am new to mods, but I was wondering if anyone has played with MS or Life tragedies since this latest patch, and are they functioning properly? I dont know where to find that information.

I currently have MS in my game and I have patched. It appears to be working just fine. I uninstalled Life's Tragedies prior to Christmas 2019, as it caused serious problems in my game. When I went over to Sacrificial's Discord channel to seek help, I was given a link to a YouTube, which I watched, to see how the kidnapping scenario was supposed to play out. Sadly, it wasn't working properly and my Rock Star had already paid out more than 40,000 Simoleons to attain the release of his younger and only sister. Essentially, the kidnapping scenario was trapped in a tape loop, the steps repeating and resolution never happening.

I was given further instructions on how to get her back, steps that I took. I'm thinking the last step was unnecessary. In the end my game save was irreparably borked. I had to start it again. When I sought additional help, I was told at the Discord channel that that mod is buggy. I've yet to get word that it's been updated/tweaked. So, I won't be reinstalling it any time soon. Although I did LOVE it.
