Now that Uni is out, what's left?

«1
Hello Fellow Simmers!
I just installed Uni, and I'm wondering what's left? I can't think of anything. I think all that we had in the prior iterations are covered now, is that correct? Do you think there will be new concepts? Or are we now looking at the sims 5? I don't know if this is the correct place to put this thread. I hope it's okay.

There is so much left to add! Don't stop at uni. I'm just going to name a few but we need:
    More exotic/foreign words
A snow world with activities like snowboarding and such
Generations! Where kids can finally play tag, hand games, marco polo, build tree houses.... all that fun stuff
A paranormal happy haunts pack for all of my occult lovers out there
    Zombies
    Werewolves
Fairies and any other occult they might think to add
    Cars anyone?
    Bands
    Free babies
I still need to make an arcade
    Sports
Riding objects like skateboards, scooters etc.
Farming!! With horses and wild animals
A theme park is a must!!!
    Romance anyone?

And so much more gameplay elements, animations and objects such as bed cuddling, bew dances, dancing facing eachother, pizza ovens, sitting on the floor to have a picnic, walking and holding hands, being able to carry children, games like spin the bottle for friends to play, pool slides, slow dancing, toddlers crawling, regular slides, normal sized regular playground equipment such as merry go round and rocking horse. The list goes on and on.

And finally we need more out of the blue strangerville type of packs 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Plus I would love if they just made a pack to focus solely on animations and gameplay, without adding a new world.
Zombies, oh please oh please give us zombies!! :'(

    I'm still hoping for:

    THeme Park
    Sim Olympics
    world Adventures
    Generations
    Non-Mutual RElationships
Decades style stuff packs (1800s, 1920s, 1940s, 1950s, etc etc)
Time Travel (Preferably to the past for me... pet dinosaurs please!)
Free Babies (in a free patch) with a baby stuff pack
    Preschoolers and Preteens life stages
get to school to follow kids/teens etc to school and teaching career
    elders and teens stuff packs
    African safarai style pack
skiing vacation world (Or just Cold world, include ice skating and a zamboni driver career etc)
    Hotels game pack
Hobbies and Activities pack (would love to see a lot more after school activities like soccer, dance etc)
Performing Arts Career Pack with active jobs in Rock Star/Ballerina/Etc
    Farming
And personally I'd love some more surprise packs with a mystery or something like Strangerville was.

Also not on my personal wish list but still could be added
More occult game packs (Werewolf pack, fairy pack, elves pack etc)
    Wedding Stuff Pack
    Cars

More occults! I'd also love a futuristic pack and a medieval/historical one with a large undeveloped world. Off the grid more fleshed out too. Other than that, improvements to sims themselves so they feel more individual.

I'm hoping Generations will be next. It's desperately needed to give new gameplay to all of the lacking life stages.

But the fairies... The werewolves... And for some people, for some reason Farming (why do people like virtual chores so much?) But mostly a Generations type pack, that focuses on every lifesaver except Young Adult, giving them maybe a Bachelor/Bachelorette party.

Because you get all the sense of accomplishment with none of the tiredness or grime, hehe.

Gordy, what makes you so sure horses are coming? Nice idea, but making them fully functional would be too much like work. Even more so for a proper farming pack.

This thread. Of course, it's possible that "horse" is just a codeword for "dragon" they're using to avoid spoiling people.

I, personally, would love a dating expansion or pack with ways to go on blind dates or use a Tinder type app. With new date spots, etc.

I thought they gave us a lot of the things mentioned in some of the posts in stuff and game packs. I thought the pack Parenthood was ts4's answer to Generation, and the Dine Out is the answer to the store item of the same idea. I don't know, I guess I thought they just watered everything down.

It didn't make the cut. Parenthood was about "parents" kids still don't have any meaningful interactions or objects. I'm a family player and my children sit around talking with adults. They need a play kitchen set, they need to be running around the house chasing eachother and jumping on beds and couches, playing various games with each other, building forts, carrying normal sized teddy bears, pushing doll carriages, riding bikes, playing tea time. Etc. I have a lot of nieces and nephews and trust me, that's what they do lol.
The most my sim kids like to do when they are not standing around talking is play the computer until I lock it or play with that dollhouse over and over.

If they can't use magic or anything else atleast expand their play options.

Let's not get started on those oversized playground items I cannot even fit in my backyard.🙄
Zombies, oh please oh please give us zombies!! :'(

    I'd very much like:

    More vacations / destinations
    Romance / Dating
    Farming / Country Life
Mediterranean theme (this could be part of one of the other concepts, this could bring casinos).
    African safari
    More hobbies/more to do
I actually liked Strangerville. I'd be open to other quirky packs as long as they have the ability to leave things in an open-ended way.
Concepts that enhance personalities and that allow for more variable outcomes.

I'm open to more SPs depending on the theme.
I'm also open to more voting.

Supernatural stuff isn't for me but I'm sure there will be more; there is clearly demand. I'm sure there is room for more family play. I would like some sort of generational/family oriented pack.

I could be pretty open to new ideas.

This! Seeing how well Parenthood was well received and I bet it sold well. All the age groups need content this time. Especially kids and teens and elders! Plus it's family play so that's a lot of cross over content rather than specialized content.

If anything comes next I hope it's a Generations pack.

I don't really understand the talk of a TS5 *already*? I want more TS4 content! I'm rather amazed (an pleased) that I - on a low end computer - still have minimum lag with many packs and also recently adding lots of CC. There is obviously room for more packs before this game gets "full". And there's so much I would like to see added! I don't get how some simmers would like to start a new series from scratch, rather than enjoying what is good and is still building nicely.

I couldn't agree more. TS4 still has so much more life in it and after all the money I've spent I would rather see it last longer than just be shelved for the next generation of Sims. That time will come. Now is the time to enjoy what we have and see where it goes.

I love TS4, but I still feel it has a lot of potential and I hope to see it continue to improve and expand for some time. Some examples of what I want to see in the near future include:
    - Werewolves with a rank system similar to vampires, including body hair and a lunar cycle
    - Fairies and changelings
    - Hybrids (because I'm still salty my vampire can't learn alchemy)
    - Improved ghosts e.g. ghosts have 'unfinished business', ability to possess sims, different needs etc.
    - Improved personalities e.g. memories, likes/dislikes, favourites, fear emotion, more influential traits and interesting traits like neurotic, brave, eccentric, cultured etc.
    - Improved romance system/interactions and weddings (I really miss my sim couples cuddling in bed and slow dancing)
    - Free babies and buggies/prams for toddlers
    - More group activities and activities/stuff for children, teens and elders
    - Homeschooling
    - Occult jobs, more 'every day' jobs and playable NPC jobs e.g. librarian, repairman, occult hunter
    - More NPCs e.g. burglar, police, firefighter
    - Horses with a horse riding skill
    - More hobbies e.g. origami, embroidery
    - Bands, upright pianos and more instruments e.g. lute, harp
    - Exercise bikes and dumbbells
    - More worlds based on different parts of our world e.g. Mediterranean inspired
    - Hotels and rented holiday homes
    - Cars/carpools

    - Snowboarding (though I’m hesitant because I know the object will be HUGE and I only want stuff my Sims can do at home)
    - Pool table
    - Throwing balls/sports (baseball, football, soccer goal, golf)
    - Tree houses
    - C A R S!!!!! (with proper garage doors and driveways)
    - Bikes for kids
    - More after school activities for kids and teens
    - Drums
    - Ballet bar
    - Bunk beds

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I agree. I couldn't even play ts3 when I tried years ago. I have this game overflowing with cc, all the packs, mid range pc and no lag. And there is so much more to add!!! I get kinda of annoyed at all the TS5 threads but no one is forcing me to read them either so oh well. . Lol😅 I'm really looking forward to years worth of content.
Zombies, oh please oh please give us zombies!! :'(

How about they concentrate on getting the game bug-free first?

Besides a lot of what has already been mentioned (an equivalent of generations, more occults, anything that brings different types of worlds etc.) I'm honestly just waiting for the resize stuff pack that brings us oven-made cupcakes, reasonably sized playground sets, dollhouses, stuffed animals, microscopes, telescopes and cauldrons. And whatever else is currently so big I can't bring myself to use them because they just look stupid.

And yes, I'm aware this will never happen. A boy can dream, though.
